I dealt with Ciaran Donaghy during my time with Abacus. His approach to recruitment is very different to other recruitment consultants that I have dealt with in the past. He was professional at all times and proposed a role to me that I would never have applied for on my own. It is that role that I starting on at the end of March. Thanks again Ciaran for all your help and I have no doubt I will be using your services again in the future.

I have been looking for a job for a couple months now and I was in contact with other recruitment agencies in Belfast. I was starting to loose hope of finding a job in the city until I contacted Kelly Wilson. Over the course of a month she has referred me to 4 differents jobs. She is amazingly skilled and competent at her job and helped me every step of the way. She would send me prep doc before interviews or assesments and call before and after each one of them. I will now recommend Abacus to all my friends looking for a job in Belfast. Overall I had an amazing experience with Kelly and Abacus!

I was with Abacus as an active jobseeker for about 2 weeks before they placed me in my first ever Accounts Receivable role. The experience of this role is very valuable and I was very impressed by the professional attitudes of everybody in the office throughout the recruitment process. Anytime I had a question or query there was always a contact in the office to answer or pass on a message.

I would like to personally thank Laura Kearney and Mairead Shannon for their hard work, excellent support and constant communication throughout the process. You are the best! I would definitely recommended this agency to others and have nothing negative to say.

I sent in a CV well over a year ago. I got called for a meeting and was all great we chatted through the CV and what I was looking for and got advice on opportunities etc. I was told they would be in contact and that they would send me across information on a job they had available that day. I’m still waiting on this information.

Meeting with two recruitment specialists, in particular Jessica Neeson is an excellent ambassador for the company, actively listened to understand my experience and what opportunities might exist in the local market, had obviously taken time to review my background/exposure and career history in advance.

On the constructive side there has been little follow up from the team even though the specialists made commitments to conducting research on potential roles.

The engagement model seems to be more candidate driven. I appreciate that there might not be suitable active opportunities, although to distinguish the company from peers you may wish to consider reflecting on the best way to keep prospective candidates engaged even if there are no active roles.

After all those candidates might be future hiring managers, their experience as a candidate could shape their view on how potential recruitment partners might represent their brand/profile to prospective candidates.

I have been working for Abacus on a temp basis for a couple of years and I have always found the staff very friendly, professional and always there to assist when problems arise. I enjoy working for them and they ensure that any issues or requests are dealt with Augentius without any delays. Payment for the work that I do is always paid on time and without hesitation, thanks to the salaries department. They are a great team!
