Unable to finish online applications so had to telephone to order Funeral Plan which was dealt with efficiently, but involved a 20 minute plus phone call with no explanation as to why I could not complete the application online.

It was very easy to complete the Age UK funeral plan form although I had to contact Age UK by telephone for their guidance before I filled in the form.

The lady who dealt with my enquiry on the telephone was excellent at her job and she was extremely efficient, kind and friendly. The pack I received in the post arrived shortly after my initial enquiry and were well set out and easy to understand.

Its not the thing that you think about but we made the phone call about a week after we had the pack our daughter went through it with us so that we understand all the levels , so we sent it off within three days a lovely lady phoned to say that the forms have arrived i payed over the phone and that is it .
We thank them for there help in this mater .

Although my cheque has been cashed I have received no acknowledgement of the purchase of this funeral plan.I telephoned Age concern this morning and was told someone would 'phone me at 2.30pm today. I received that call at 3.40pm.I was informed the paper work was being sorted and I should receive the documentation on the 29th of this month. I asked for a receipt for the cheque but was told you do not send receipts for cheques. In the meantime I would like written confirmation for the receipt of money paid.

I decided to by the funeral plan from age UK because mum had one which we had to use very recently. It was a super efficient service with no problems. I just had to ring them once.

Rang twice and spoke to two different adviser
The first time I rang the adviser was not very helpful
The second time after I made my application
The adviser I spoke to was helpful and explained fully what I needed to do
