Baabuk

Me and my wife were intrigued the first time we saw the advertisement for these shoes online. We, attended quite a few stores, before we found one that still has them in stock. I assume this is due to manufacturing challenges Baabuk has with shipping from Nepal. However, after trying them on, we noticed the “comfort” part of the advertisement of these shoes is a massive exaggeration. The soles of these shoes are crap. One solid piece with no cushioning to speak of. Which is a true shame, because we were quite ready to purchase these to wear for work, as a blend of fashion but but with the comfort of something like a sports sneaker or slipper, and to support our home canton of Valais, as the true Valaisan we are. Unfortunately we cannot do so at this time. If these sneakers/slippers were considered high fashion, we could accept the level of comfort these shoes provide. I recommend that Baabuk work on making these shoes actually as comfortable as a pair of sports shoes, and we could see ourselves buying a pair in the future if this is the case, and a price markup would even be acceptable for it. But until then, we will not be purchasing anything from Baabuk in the future. We rate these shoes 2 stars because while the shoes are indeed fashionable, the lengths to go through to try them on in listed stores are unacceptable, and they are simply not comfortable shoes to wear. Also the return policy online doesn’t work if we simply don’t like the shoes after we have purchased them.

I ordered shoes nearly 7 weeks ago, and nothing has arrived. I sent an email 9 days ago, and received a response which confirmed that the shoes had not been delivered, but still awaiting even the followup email.

If you're going to send review requests weeks before you even deliver the shoes, how can I possibly give a positive rating? I wish I could, I own two other pairs and like them.

Just received my pair of Sky Woolers in the black colour on Friday...Wore them all weekend, and I absolutely love them! They were a little snug at first (Only in width, length was perfect) but now that I've been wearing them for a couple days they have stretched out slightly and are now super comfortable. They're perfect for the ever changing climate here in Toronto, especially in these winter months. I love that they don't look like anything else out there as well, I have already received numerous compliments on them, and have people asking me where they can get a pair. Great product, will be making another purchase for a pair of the low cut ones

I have ordered sneakers from the German website on Black Friday (for non-US readers: in November) with a discount code. Shoes arrived damaged, and ever since, I am spending my days back and forth with customer service. Since the website is in German, I have sent my first emails to Baabuk in German, but received no reply at all. I think they use a customer service provider somewhere on the planet, which would make sense because email replys seem to come from different time zones. Customer service can only be contacted in English, which is not mentioned on the website and can be a problem for some customers.
Customer service is friendly but does not send helpful answers as they have to check with so-called sales team in between messages. Then you have to ask again for results because you won‘t hear back from them. Long story short, it is end of January now, and I am still waiting for a replacement. Now I was told the shoes I have ordered are sold out (but available on the website).
According to other reviews this company should really invest in a better customer service and more customer friendly return and exchange process.
Products seem to be good quality but if something goes wrong you will not want to order again.

Very comfortable to wear even during hot summer days. Also looks great, love them!

It has been a terrible experience, it has been over a month since I made the purchase and the item never arrived, the customer service took forever to answer with no very useful reply, the DHL delivery described on the web site is a complete lie, I was really looking forward to try this product but the whole buying and deliver experience has been complete nightmare.

I recently purchased a pair of shoes for a Christmas gift. One shoe came in with bad stiching. Worried it may not last I asked to have the shoe replaced. I was told they would but I have to pay 37.50 to return the item back to Germany. I have since emailed the company twice trying to resolve the problem and have not heard back. I have to rate the company one star since they are not backing the product.

We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
