Battery Barn

For over 2years I have been buying batteries from the supplier The Battery Barn. I've ordered many batteries some as expensive as $60 each for power drills.. Last year, I got a bad package (8) of rechargeable batteries. They were bad and to his credit and he sent me another. I used them to no avail and they were bad as well. These AA batteries only lasted minutes in my small camera.
I took off on a one month trip. After coming home I forgot about them.
I did not send them back in a timely manner but after I send the whole bunch back and just asked for a credit for future batteries, and much communicating he told me I was over the time limit of 30 days which he never informed me of. I had paid for the batteries,the shipping, paid the return shipping and I was out of luck.
I told him I was recommended by family and I've sent him a lot of business......he just held his ground. He insisted on a 30day policy on rechargeable batteries. As you know it can take longer than that to figure out they are bad. So over a $18 credit of good will he chose to not respond.
I told him I was going to pass this story on and suggest to others do not do business with him.

I suggest you try them next time.......
...and pass this on to anyone you know buying from them.
It's not the $ but the idea that we support someone and then they choose to "be right" over giving fair customer support.

Ordered 3 batteries for my cordless phones; their prices were pretty good (some 15 to 20% below local retailers). They shipped promptly, and for free (for orders over $25). Will not hesitate to do business with BatteryBarn again.

Had a couple of orders with Battery Barn in last two weeks. On both occasions my orders were handled promptly and I received my products within 4 days. This is a excellent company to do business with..

I ordered two replacement batteries for my PD170 and Vx2100 camcorders. The Batteries were here in two days. One battery was wrong. I contacted battery barn and had a reply from Michael Liang within a couple of hours. He apologized, and had me the right battery in two more days, with a postage paid return box for the wrong battery. They made a mistake, but did what you would want a company to do in that situation; they apologized, and fixed the problem quickly. I'm impressed with my fist purchase, and will buy from them again.

Once again, a very positive buying experience: They had what I needed in stock, packed it very well, and shipped it that day.

Quick speedy delivery of battery that turned out to be identical to the one supplied by the hardware manufacturer.

I ordered a battery by phone on Tuesday, Veterans
Day. Since this was a holiday and there was no
mail service, I was told the order would be mailed
the next day. I received the battery on Friday
the 14th. The person I spoke to was very polite
and helpful. There were no hidden charges. I
will definitely order from them again.

I have been ordering from Battery barn for many years. If I am not certain what battery to order I email them and usually receive an answer within 24 hours. They go out of their way in helping me find the CORRECT battery to order & use.

Battery Barn (Michael L) bent over backwards to give me good service. I thought there were problems with the battery I received, but it turns out that my Ipod and power supply were the problems. The battery was good. They gave me three different batteries and werre still willing to refund my money if I wasn't satisfied. Excellent company worth repeat business.

I was a little nervous ordering from Battery Barn, as I'd found some scandalous reviews. I'm happy to report that my replacement batteries for my Makita drill showed up MUCH faster than I expected (in 3 days) and seem to work well. I haven't used them very much yet, and will update or write another review if there's a problem. Thanks, Battery folk!

Update, Dec 2010.
Having used the new batteries for a few months, I'm disappointed. They don't hold a charge as long as my older, dying batteries, and don't seem to have as much power fresh out of the charger. I haven't contacted Battery Barn yet.

After contacting seller, I was told that I could exchange my batteries for another $20. Seems like throwing good money after bad.

TERRIBLE batteries.

I ordered the Lenmar OmniSource battery charger (model DCC02) from batterybarn. After few uses, I realized it is a very slow charger, even though it is a new charger. So, I called them up for a return. Frances, the lady representative at the store was very helpful. I returned and got full refund within 1 day. I am very pleased with their service, and would consider purchase again in the future.

Order came in quickly and in a factory sealed package, a NP-FS11 battery for my Sony Cybershot F-55 camera. Ordered online hassle free. These folks are great.

I bought a Sony battery for a Camcorder. Site is simple to use, battery arrived on time. Special plus: this store sells internationally, not everyone does! Shipping was very reasonable, shipping time to Israel was ten days inspite of Christmas/New Year traffic. Wish all stores would work like this one.

I've been ordering from them for years now (at least 4, although possibly longer) and I have never had any trouble with them. Their products are always as advertised, and I often get my purchases in the mail the day after I place an order.

Their customer service is very fast and efficient. I have never had to call them, so I can't comment on that, but they reply to email VERY quickly (I even emailed them at 10pm on a weeknight and they wrote me back within 20 minutes).

Ordered from them on a Friday and received the item on Tuesday. Batteries where for 2 cameras, they were 3600mAh, and two 2400mAh. worked great, where cheap, and have a 2 year warranty. Will buy from again.

UPDATE**

I placed a second order for a 2200mAh battery pack for a Canon HV30. It was an extremely well priced item, compared to other trusted retailers selling a lesser sized pack for about $30 more. I ordered on a Friday Night, and the item arrived on Wednesday. That was with priority mail (3-7 day shipping) VERY FAST SHIPPING!!! Upon receiving the battery I noticed it said it was made in Japan while the battery that came with the HV30 said it was made in China. I wonder if the battery from battery barn is better quality than the manufacturers? Anyway the pack arrived with what seemed to be a full charge and a 2 year warranty. I highly suggest placing your next battery order from BATTERYBARN. GREAT PLACE TO BUY.

I bought my batteries from battery barn and was very pleased. Service was quick, and the product as superb. A+!

On March 4, 2003 I placed an order with Battery Barn for a charger and 8 1800 MAH NI-MH batteries. Today, March 6, 2003, I received the order by Priority Mail. The batteries that came with th charger were 1800 MAH as advertised but the 4 add on batteries were 2000 MAH! I'm a satisfied customer.

Ordered an AC-511 for my Canon G2, it
arrived only a few days later, much faster
than I expected. Excellent service! I would
buy from them again without hesitation.

I looked at a number of websites for a low cost battery for my Kyocera 2325 Cell phone. I also looked at purchaser's ratings of the websites. While Battery Barn's site didn't list my exact phone, the other sites showed me which other Kyocera models used the same battery as mine. Nobody could even come CLOSE to Battery Barn's price. Their shipping charge was also extremely low. My order came in 2 or 3 days. The battery was identical to the original except for brand labeling, and works great.

This is my second purchase from battery barn. The first was for 2 batteries for a panasonic camera a year ago. This time it was for 4 batteries for a Canon 40D. Both occasions have been a pleasure. No worries, fast shipping, items received as described, and well packaged. Will be doing business with Michael L in the future.
