I called bestpricecaskets.com today to get information on a casket I was considering. I woman transferred me to their sales department and Terry answered. He was abrupt, short, started to yell when I had more questions. So, I just hung up! Given that they have such great prices and an awesome website, I immediately called back asking to speak with someone else. The next woman Alexa was kind and gentle on the phone, and answered my final question and our conversation ended. However, after contemplating the initial communication with Terry, I had to ask myself, is this the type of person or company I'd want to give my business and money? If there service is like this over the phone, what type of service would I receive upon making the purchase? I immediately began to look at reviews, and low and behold, this Terry person has been around since at least 2015 from the complaints listed here. If the company hasn't gotten rid of him yet, you gotta think to yourself, is Terry the owner? Not matter how low the cost, there's no way I could give them my business, and I strongly recommend you do not either.

Best price caskets used several names. This business and California Caskets need a zero. The Salesperson is rude and should be closed down. I called a couple of times and asked questions about a casket. The salesperson asked if I called before I said yes. He related you already asked that question. He was so rude. He has no compassion for people who are grieving. He hides under names because his rating are so bad. When you call the different business they transfer all the calls to him. He lied and said his caskets come from United States and I was told he gets them from China. .

I called to ask if it was really free shipping and he asked when I needed it and I told him. He then yelled at me and told me he was $5000 cheaper than the funeral Home. I then asked he repeated it 3 or 4 times before he said it would be $190 And told me again I would save $5000. The most expensive casket the funeral home had is $2825. My question to this IDIOT, how can he stay in business if he is willing to pay me $2175 for a casket. I think I will buy elsewhere.

I had a friend who ordered a casket from this place and what ended up happening is the casket never showed up and the family had been lied to and given the run around. Then when I called to demand they refund my friends money so that they could get a casket for the service today I was put on hold. I guess this place doesn't like being told they will be turned in to the BBB, they put me on hold. Please do not put your family through what my friends family has been through

I was in the process of doing business with this company when the rudeness and arrogance began. He is very condescending and did not allow me to explain my point before his attack. I told him that he needed to learn how to better communicate with the public. He sent me a nasty text as his response. Don't do business with them. Check BBB's website to see just how awful they are.

I understand we're going through a difficult time with this pandemic, but empathy should be used for this line of business. The first time I called inquiring about a casket, customer service was GREAT! However when I called to get an update on the casket because it was not delivered the next day as advised, a gentleman answers the phone rudely, advised he wasn't in front of his computer, stated if I receive an email the information was there; placed me on hold and asked was all my questions answered before I could advised the email's information was unconfirmed. I called back the next day to check again for the casket, it seemed as if he was the knot person working, he answers again rudely, as if I was bothering him & push it off to the courier. The invoice stated for the courier to call the family to meet him at the Funeral Home and he did not do that. My family and I was waiting for 3hrs from the time I called the courier and he stated he was an hour away. He just dropped off the casket without notification and when I tried to reach him he ignored the call twice! Their customer service skills need to be handle differently.

I have dealt with this company several times before but after yesterdays encounter with Terry I will not use their company ever again. A family had ordered a wood casket from them & had it shipped to my funeral home. While transferring the decedent from the church trucks to the hearse the swing bar cracked really badly. I informed the family & also called & told Best Price what happened. The young lady said she would call me back after she spoke with the manager. So I get the call back & she says we can refund back $75. I said I don't know how the family will feel about that after spending almost $1200. So family calls & Terry was very rude to them & then hung up on them. I call them from the funeral home line & they did the same thing to me. I then call from my cell. I get through & before I could get a word in edgewise Terry starts calling me STUPID! Not once but several times!! Then asks me how in the hell did you break the swing bar STUPID!! Don't talk to me until you email pictures STUPID! Is this how you speak to grieving families & myself a licensed funeral director?? I WILL NOT TOLERATE SUCH IGNORANCE. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!!! Or Terry just might call you STUPID too or something worse!!!

I called them to try and get an idea of what I can do and how ordering a casket from them works because my mother was going to pass away I tried to start asking questions and the man I was speaking to started to get very defensive and nasty so I decided to tell him I was not going to order from him he then proceeded to call me stupid when I tried calling to speak to a manager they did not pick up then called me back just to call me stupid again I would never recommend ordering or doing any business with these dirt bags.

Very rude salesman on first call, asked if I was going to purchase a casket or not? Called again when need arose and spoke with someone a bit more friendly and understanding. Asked where caskets were made, she said U.S. Ordered a solid cherry casket, loss gloss, specific hardware. At funeral home when unpacked it was not what I ordered. Cherry, very high gloss, different hardware. Tag on end said "Made in China" They never called to tell me the model I ordered was not in stock. Very poor customer service or compassion, it felt like dealing with a used car salesman. Take your business elsewhere unless you enjoy rudeness and not receiving what you ordered.

Hello, I am emailing to tell you about a ridiculous customer service experience I had tonight (2/19/19) when calling to ask some questions about obtaining a casket from your company. I called around 5:30pm CT and a female answered who then transferred me to a male person and we began to discuss caskets. After only a minute of talking he began to become rude and interrupting me. I would start talking and he would interrupt me saying "Whats your question" in a quick and rude tone of voice. This happened three times in a row and I finally hung up. I then looked your company up on yelp and clearly it shows that this rude behavior and response is the norm as opposed to a rare occasion as multiple reviews show. I can only guess that bestpricecaskets.com has mgmt that doesn't care about its reputation or even worse the jerk(s) who answer the phone are the managers or the owners. Either way, I can't say how ridiculous this experience and others experiences are with this company. Omg! I have never dealt with such a jerk! First he calls but continues to talk to someone else. I was just inquiring and he said "oh do you need it years from now?" then when I said it was not where he kept saying it was for , he was flippant and said "don't make me guess" that was when I said "I am not interested in dealing with you" and hung up on him. When I called 866-474-5061 to complain about his rude behavior --- the woman hung up. Rude sales and if this is the start why bother dealing with them in a time of crisis.

My Uncle passed away and I decided that I would purchase the casket. I saw a casket on their website and decided to call them to inquire about color availability. I called Best Price Caskets and asked if they sold a particular model in the color blue. I had not yet purchased, but was seriously considering if the casket was available in blue. I was told by Terry that I could go to Home Depot and buy a can of paint to color the casket to my preferred color. The response was not provoked, warranted and/or necessary. I can't imagine how someone in the business of selling caskets could respond to a potential Customer or ANY Customer in this manner. When I picked up my phone, my only intent was to inquire about the color of a casket for my beloved Uncle. I am still in shock at the response I received. When I did speak to a "Supervisor" I was asked "what do you want?" and "You must don't have anything else to do, while I'm busy" . I called the company back several times to speak to a Supervisor to get a much needed apology. This is by far the worst company I NEVER did business with and nor will I, my Family, Friends and/or their Friends ever. I told everyone to google the number and check the address. of the business before doing anything. I will do my own research to ensure that no one I know does business with them and that includes Funeral Homes. I am a highly respected member of my community and my voice/words MATTERS!!!

I recently purchased a casket online for my father. While I agree with many of the review posted about the lack of empathy from Terry and the customer service department, if you can get past that--the casket was delivered on time and at a more affordable price. This company is a business, sadly it is a business where you are dealing with emotional clients, so you would expect and hope for more compassion. Which you are not going to get--its all business. So, if you can handle this as a business transaction and leave emotion to the side, you will be just fine. Would I purchase from here again? YES.

I've never been treated to rudely and unprofessionally in my entire life. I called to inquire about the availability of a specific casket for my wife who had died two days prior. I asked him to tell me a little about the caskets they sell and he began a condescending rant which included "well our caskets are made to hold a dead body"... and that was just the beginning. I can count the times I've purchased a casket with one finger and but I've purchased lots of other things and this person was the most rude and offensive person I've ever spoken with over the phone. The only reason I still went through with the purchase was because they had the casket my wife had picked out before she died and I couldn't find it anywhere else. While the initial treatment and ridicule was bad enough the next interaction with them was even worse. The casket arrived on time thankfully. However, at the cemetery, in front of all of our friends and family, they tried to lower the casket into the concrete vault to be lowered into the ground but it wouldn't fit it got stuck. The workers tried to lower it but ended up having to remove a piece of trim (all in front of 100 people) to get casket into the vault. The advertisement said that the casket would fit into a standard sized vault. I called the next business day to let them know about the problem and they proceeded to say that I was stupid and an idiot at least three times and that it was my fault it wouldn't fit. The cemetery and funeral director also called to corroborate my story and they were treated equally poorly. This company is SO rude and unprofessional that I don't want anyone to make the same mistake that I made. The cost savings isn't worth the poor treatment in my opinion.

Terry and Elvia Cervantes are the worst business I've ever seened. They will insult you and keep you on hold and don't want too pay for there services. I rather built my own casket then buy from them very disrespectful disgusting and there caskets are smelly and had roaches. If i had a choice i would rate them zero they don't deserve to be rated. This place should close down immediately

The worst service one could possibly imagine. They fought having to send a replacement casket for a defective one they sent. Once they finally recapitulated, they purposefully delayed shipment from the airport until after the service (the replacement was never delivered). With no time remaining and with a funeral home that doesn't have caskets on hand, I was forced to use defective product. Personnel were exceptionally rude. There are other online casket options; please use them. Do not give this guy your business.

I contacted this company today with some specific questions that I had even though I am grieving over the loss of a loved one and am understandably confused and numb. I was transferred to their salesperson "Terry". I proceeded to explain to Terry that I needed clarification regarding a specific point on their website and he responded by telling me "Yea, I know what the website says. Now what's your question?" I shrugged it off and proceeded with my question and he gave me an overwhelming amount of information that could be easily understood by anyone in his business, but not to the average layperson. After he provided me with more information than I needed, I told him that I had another question. I began my next question by repeating a specific part of his response to which he said "Yea, I know what I said. Now what's your question?" At this point I realized that this guy is just plain rude and insensitive and behaved as if he is selling used car tires. He exhibited ZERO compassion or sensitivity and was downright curt, nasty and rude. I told him how insensitive, rude and nasty he is and hung up. I then called back and spoke with the lady who had initially answered my call and explained to her how out of control Terry is. She stood quiet as if she had heard this before about Terry. She apologized and proceeded to tell me that she would help me. While she was pleasant, I told her that I wouldn't do business with them under any circumstances. If, after reading this negative review and other negative reviews, you choose to do business with this company, proceed at your own risk. If you are seeking a casket to bury your loved one in, be prepared to have salt rubbed in an open wound.

On the day of delivery I was asked by the funeral home to contact them to make sure delivery would be on time. Salesperson was very rude and complained a little about me calling. When I arrived at the funeral home for my mothers viewing, she was in the wrong casket. Days after funeral I contacted them, not to ask for anything only to let them know, Same salesperson was rude again and didn't even offer an apology. He said they would go check make sure they were marked properly for future orders. How sad?

My Mom was on hospice for 8 months. We started planning her funeral about 1 month before she died in Sept. 2017. We found a great 18 gauge steel casket with free shipping to Hurst, Tx.. The funeral director said it was good quality and was surprised because online caskets are often misrepresented. No surprises and delivery was just as promised. Salesman was not super sympathetic but that's not what I was interested in. I would recommend this company to anyone, they saved us over $3000. Now my Dad is on hospice and I will start looking for his casket today, to be purchased from Best Price Caskets. Thank you so much for making this process so much easier!
