BIKESTER

Ordered a new raceface bar and two new tyres, it has taken four days from order to collecting.
Overall great experience.

We ordered a bike, which was supposedly on stock on a Monday, with a lead time of 2-3 working days. So in theory on time for my daughters birthday party on Sunday....
But no delivery, no bike and I have been trying to speak to someone from customer service, but no response!
I am worried if I see my money ever again.

I now have my Ortler Mainau, men, 60CM for 3 months And I love it!
First of all I got excellent service from Bikester when I called them in order to get advice on which bike I wanted to order. It is very easy to place the order online. The delivery also went smooth & fast and it was surprisingly easy to assembly the bike.
When I got the bike I had a few issues whit adjustments and Bikester has been very supportive and paid for a local bike shop to carry out the adjustments. Again excellent service!
I did a lot of research, and I doubt that you can get a better complete trekking bike for € 400.
Besides for the pedals & the stand, all of the parts are a fine quality and very high value for the money.
The Ortler Mainau is very nice to ride, I can highly recommend it & Bikester if you are looking for excellent service and a good trekking bike for a decent price.

The only reason to be only 4 instead of 5, it is the delivery company (DPD), the box was forced and the bike fork broke through the box, it is a constant with that delivery company, they always manage poorly big packages

No customer service in The Netherlands, Belgium, UK, & Germany. BS standard replies everywhere e.g. 'due to technical problems we can't answer the phone' / 'due to internal training bla bla bla'. That is basically just lying to your customers. Straight garbage.

Despite the high delivery charges (EUR 6.99) the package arrived very late (most shops in Holland have 24 hr delivery, during the working days). I could not wait anymore, placed a new order in Germany (!!!) which arrived before the Bikester.nl order!

So I need to send the stuff back. Clearly an issue with the supply chain of Bikester!

I purchased a pair of X-Bionic Trick cycling shorts from Bikester on September 27, which after the first long distance cycle (50 km) provided me with blisters and numbness in my legs. I contacted bikester to see about the warranty as these were expensive shorts (130 euro) and I did not expect such discomfort on long distances. After filling in a questionnaire and sending them back, I hadn't heard back for more than 2 months. A couple of emails later I was told that the manufacturer doesn't accept that there is a fault with the shorts. When I tried to explain the reason why I think that there should be a resolution to this problem as it is difficult to know whether a pair of shorts are effective before trying them on a cycle and I paid a lot of money for them, I was told that I initially wanted to exchange them for a bigger size which didn't qualify for warranty. As I never had any problem with the size and did not mention it in my questionnaire (I'm petite, weigh 50 kg and purchased an S, I was definitely not needing to size up), I felt I was being disrespected by this lie. This came as an unpleasant surprise and made me think that my case was not taken seriously, the customer service had lied to try to avoid taking responsibility. I am very disappointed at how my case was handled and will not purchase anything from Bikester again. I found other shops more helpful.

I've ordered two bikes of the same model with different frame sizes for me and my wife. Shipping was fast and when I got them out of the box and put everything together they looked nice and good.

However a bit later small flaws appeared here and there:
1. Flat tire on one of the bikes - seems that it has not been tested well in the shop.
2. Cables on one of the bikes were tightened with proper cable tightenings but other one had some kind of unreliable plastic things, that I replaced with tighteners.
3. On one of the handlebar ends there was a small defect in leather winding.
4. Screws on handlebar are tightened in a way it is almost impossible to unscrew them with hex key.

Overall bikes are great but those small things are overshadowing nice experience.

Instead of 2-3 days delivery time it took a full week, one of the ordered items is missing the rest is all too small to fit whilst i ordered specifically the same sizes as i have always used, this is the last time i ordered anything and will from now on go to local shops!

And it would be a good idea if they could be contacted by phone instead of email only!!!!

Rear cassette disconnected from the rear wheel after 7 months of use. Bikester says this is normal for their bikes and won't let me claim warranty. Currently trying to combat this, but thy ave awful customer service.

We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
