Please stay away from this compagny.
As a yoga school or as costumer, be very careful. They stole money from so many people. Read all the reviews you can before buying from them.

European Consumer Center!

Hello to everyone who was also ripped off by this company. Bookyogaretreats refused to repay my deposit for over a year. After emailing the company unsuccessfully, I contacted the ECC, the European Consumer Center! It took a couple of weeks and then the 300 euros were back in my account. I can only recommend this to everyone here! Very fast, very serious, very professional. And absolutely effective!

WARNING!

My booked yoga workshop was canceled by the organizers (not because of Corona, but because there were difficulties with the location). BookYogaRetreats does not want to repay my deposit of 300 EUR and, like many other people here, I am only offered a voucher, which is out of the question for me.

This behavior is not fair and it is certainly not yogalike.

I have already informed PayPal about the matter and if that doesn't help, I'll count on my legal protection insurance on the case.

While I did research this company when I booked my retreat and there was very little on the negative side about them, I suspect Covid has caused them to take a major hit and as a result they are trying to stay afloat by not issuing refunds. I was promised a refund back to my credit card (which seems rare after reading other reviews). I was told the refund went through in June sometime (they haven’t given me an exact date). Long story short, there was never a credit back onto my card. When I inquire they tell me to “contact my bank”. Discover (a large credible company), has confirmed they never issued a refund and is investigating this entire scam. They also sent me a pdf of the supposed refund that had no date, or confirmation that it was even received and quite frankly it didn’t look the least bit legit. This company is awful, 100% don’t recommend.

What was supposed to be a lovely experience turn out to be a ripoff from their side and an extremely bad start after excepting the charge of €840 deposit for a retreat that they don't actually run. Their poor and scornful customer service has provided fake solutions when I ask for a refund. Not recommend it at all, please stay away from this deceitful company.

THE YOGA MAT gave me a refresh moment of my yoga journey. It was full of caring and inspiring from all teachers. Tania is a huge mama bear who take care of us. And lead us to right way. Also another teachers are humble and amazing giver. I felt that we got blessed around teachers. It was over the technic things. I learned A LOT from them & nature of Koh Samui.

Will NOT refund money for a retreat cancelled due to the COVID-19 global crisis. Do not book with this company! They are keeping people's money for retreats that aren't evening being held. Just appauling customer service. Every other business I have spoken to during this crisis have responded with compassion and given a full refund for cancelled flights, tours and accommodation. Given these extraordinary circumstances, which are completely out of the customer's control, you would think this company would be more understanding and provide a refund for bookings that are cancelled. Very disappointing this company is taking advantage of people during this current crisis.

Harmony yoga teacher training provided the tools needed so when you leave the program you have the ability needed to teach right away. I feel confident, centered and prepared for the next chapter I want to explore. The women in my program were all special and we were all from different backgrounds and ages ranged from early twenties to sixties!!!! So exhilarating and hard at the same time. I feel proud of me!!!

Never again! We cancelled our Trip to Bali 6 weeks prior to our departure. We thougt, that we would get our deposit back according to our contract. Instead bookyogaretreats offered us a voucher although that is against european Customer right. In other words thats illegal, criminal and against the law.... NEVER AGAIN!!!

You should be aware that what they are doing is not in line with yoga at all. Since mid-March they have withheld my funds from a RYS and at the same time pretended to grant me a refund but have not refunded me yet! Please refund me immediately since you are obstructing and holding funds which are not yours!

We are an organiser who lists retreats on this company's platform. This is the third time now that we are waiting for our payment over weeks! Emails are not replied to or ignored. We feel sorry for our students who feel very in between and don't understand why their payment is being held by Bookyogaretreats.

Book Yoga Retreat is big fraud and spoiling the values of Yoga. We were listed with them as a school but they always keep threatening to get money back illegally. All they care about is money. they keep school listing on higher ranking by getting higher commission. So if you book a retreat with them please be careful as they may show a school on top which has no good quality of education but paying more commission to them. Many of travelers has to face this serious issue. Please always check the website of schools directly and compare schools separately.

We went to a yoga retreat at Luminary Life in Hoi an. It was great value for money. The yoga was fantastic and it was in a peaceful, well equipped studio. The staff at Luminary Life are very friendly and helpful. We stayed at a homestay opposite the studio run by a lovely Vietnamese family. The rooms at the homestay are clean and the breakfast is good. Great experience and great value for money.

The owners and teachers really care for their students and have developed an amazing program They push you just enough in your practice and in your own growth and development This course is hard work but so worth it and I felt such love and support from everyone along the way

Hello It was all beautiful, well organized, I Ve learned many New things about Tantra and Tantra yoga and dance, the teachers, no Need to Say, are special!!!! They transmitted so much love and Joy during the course, they shined in the light of the Divine and Vishnu Guruji Also sent a blessing to US all'!!!!!! I found the site easy to navigate and responsive for enquires etc is fast! Only improvement I would suggest is to see instant availability. In the end I messaged a few different options as I realised some not available for my dates. But yoga retreats were quick to help find alternatives.

I agree with the rest of the reviews, this is just a bad platform. They advertise their offer with "only one spot available" when no other spots are taken, or "one of the best rated retreat in the area" when in fact it's the first time the retreat is ever supposed to be held etc.

Very nice website giving you the possibility to find YOUR yoga retreat. Through the filters you can find what and where you want it: all styles of yoga, locations all over the world, extras like wellness, detox, raw food, ladies weeks, healing etc. Also the booking functions are great since they get you in contact directly with the host/hotel/retreat. But since it stays on the site reminders and alerts are included. Can be very useful!

This company does not publish truthful reviews only the good bits ? As they are on commission from the retreats We booked a yoga retreat which was not as described and they didn't publish the review - only the positives BEWARE
