Bower assigned Eric Wilson to be my advisor and guide. Eric came to my home to find out what my aims were in Equity Release (over a cuppa). I had one aim, to redeem an old (high interest) lifetime mortgage to a new one at lower interest - with the added benefit of an untouched drawdown sum in case of emergencies. One week later Eric returned with a full and clear report and all the sums accurately done plus his recommended lender. The interest rate had more than halved with new lender!

At this point the Covid 19 lockdown came into play. Immediately Eric, Bower and the recommended solicitor worked out ways of overcoming the problems that lockdown threw up, especially where my signature needed to be legally witnessed for the deed etc. They all came out flying and found imaginitive ways around these problems. The whole process was very smooth and probably took a couple of weeks longer because of the lockdown situation. Everything reached completion in a relaxed manner.

I must add a few words extra about my advisor Eric. When lockdown prevented us from further face to face meetings, Eric was on the phone and emailing me so keeping me fully informed thoughout. Business apart, I feel that Eric and I became friends. As Verger of my church (still in lockdown) I emailed Eric the links to our virtual services and also the series of music videos I made to cheer up the congregation. Eric and spouse had a good laugh watching my efforts. So, a big thanks to Eric and all the staff at Bower for a great and successful outcome. I wish anyone that requires Equity Release the same happy ending through the professionalism of Bower,

I would recommend Bower Retirement Services, because for my Equity Release Steve Rogers my consultant went through all the options available to me. We then chose the option that was the best for me.

Mrs Helen Barnes is a true professional, a hard decision was made very easy by her calm and confident manner in which she described the lifelong mortgage.

There was never a moment when she tried to push me into something that I was not sure of. She is a true credit to your company.

The personal service given by John Lowe was excellent he took time to ensure that both my wife and myself totally understood all of the procedures he also gave that personal touch which sadly today is missing from so many companies.

The Equity Release Specialist (Michael Gillis) acted in a very professional manner and laid out in simple terms the various options that were available to us along with the appropriate costs and benefits that were available from a number of options.

Michael did this without favour or prejudice and was more than willing to answer (in language that we understood) the numerous questions that we had relating to the various plans available.

He presented a number of Repayment Calculators so that we were able to determine the right pan for us and assisted us in completing the paperwork leading to a very satisfactory result

I contacted Bower after dealing with 2 other equity release companies that advertise extensively in the press. Bower were able to utilise their expertise to obtain a better quote than other providers and managed the whole process most efficiently. Thoroughly recommended!

I had a excellent service from Bower especially from Sharon, she kept me informed at all times as to how my request was going and always had my best interest first also was always there to answer honestly any question I asked, very happy with the outcome and would recommend Bower to friends and family.

I have received some financial advice from Bower’s mortgage adviser Barry Smart. Although I haven’t proceeded at this moment I will definitely be returning to Barry in the near future. He has given me great advice.

We used Bower because they were not at all pushy in the matter having contacted them 18 months ago, having had a health problem turn up we decided the time was right to look into equity release, so we contacted Bower as our first choice, on contacting them we were booked an appointment with one of their equity release consultants a Keith Dainow, who rung us to set up an appointment. He turned up on time and immediately made us at ease and explained every thing to do with equity release in a friendly manner and explained every thing at our pace, he set up the survey, the solicitors and the equity release company and explained every thing would go through quickly on his second visit, and that if we had any problems that a lady at their Offices a Nicky Powell would be there to answer our questions.
All in the process took 6 weeks from start to finish, which was totally unbelievable and we got more than we thought, We would totally recommend Bower Retirement for your equity release needs for their professionalism, friendliness and fast service and we are glad we chose them
