Since returning from the trip I have only sought to secure the £300 for the ski hire, and I've made countless calls and sent emails. I've received utterly dishonest commitments to call me back (x5) and a commitment to refund the money. None of this has come to fruition. I just didn't think any companies could get away with operating like this in 2020. Outright fraudulent and dishonest. Do not trade with them and bring very low expectations to any existing booking.

Sam confirmed that the holiday was available and would book it for us, as he read the flight times out, he told me it was departing at 19:20, I corrected him and he said he would have to check all the flight times. He came back to say the one that was departing at 09.30 was sold out so he would try and find something similar.
Sam advised he’d found another flight however it was with Ryanair and was £262.00 per person departing out of Birmingham at 13.25 on the 28th. We discussed this and agreed that we could do that. So that was a total of £524
Sam asked me for the card details and I gave him my husband’s card details, he asked if he could speak to the cardholder to authorise the payment.
My husband took the phone and was told the total to pay was £660. He immediately queried this and was told it was due to supplement of £19 from the airline and £60 hotel. That still didn’t add up even if it was £19 and £30 p.p.
At this point we became suspicious and asked Sam to cancel the whole thing. Sam was quite persistent and said he would see if he could get it reduced at all. He came back on to say he’d managed to get it down to £589. We eventually agreed and my husband gave him the card details. Sam said someone would call back with our reference number.
Just after 9pm Sam called and told us the holiday he had offered us was no longer available, I was so upset, so we told him we would just cancel the whole thing.
Sam was quite persistent he told us we couldn’t cancel as the money had been taken I couldn't understand this, if the money was taken, surely that would mean the holiday was booked! He told us that he would find us something else. He eventually came back and said he’d found the same hotel, out of Birmingham on the 28th at 10.10 returning on the 05th of March for £589, I refused this as it was 6 days and not 7.
I was put on hold again and he them returned to say he could do it for 7 days. My husband asked why he hadn’t offered that in the first place. We were so confused by all the back and forth and that we were paying more than we had originally thought. We just asked Sam to cancel the holiday. He said we couldn’t do that as the money was already taken. £589 has been withdrawn from my account.
After contacting trading standards I wrote to both Cheeky Trip and Break4Holidays. Cheeky Trip replied and contacted Adam at Break4Holidays. He agreed the agent had acted inappropriately and would personally see to it that we got our holiday and if the prices had gone up they would cover the excess. Roger called back the next day and told me the dates I wanted had increased in price could we go later. I said we'd been told that his company would cover the excess. He refused. I asked for my money back. I had to make numerous calls to chase them for my money back, one agent asked me if it was Mrs Lewis again? and said "I already told you once he isn't available and he will call you." He didn't. Finally after Cheeky Trip and myself chased persistently. Adam called on Tuesday 04th February 2020 and said my money would be returned by the end of the week, even though he was refunded by bank transfer, so should have been immediate. I waited until Friday morning and let Cheeky Trip know that no money had been returned. She chased all day, as did I and eventually at 16:30 I told the agent, I was done and I would be going to Trading Standards and sharing my experience with Trustpilot and any other site that I could review their service on. Sam called me back at 16.:55 and asked me to check to see if the money had been returned. It had, but we have missed out on decent priced holiday now as all flights have gone up.
