I bought a breville milk cafe april 10 2019 and it worked great for about 3 months. I even posted on amazon how great it was. Then it stopped frothing in the way it was supposed to. I called breville and their service was great and sent me a new one. Well it worked great for a month. Now its back to doing the same thing it did when i returned it. So for the price 172$ its not worth it.really am disappointed because when it worked it was yielding great froth. Jane doiron from canada

I bought a toaster a month or two before Christmas, that lasted less than two months. I have since trying to chase up this company, who promised to send me a similar item if I sent them pictures of the toaster with the cord cut and the label with the information. I have contacted them 3 times, and 3 times they have replied that they never received the pictures. Once a few minutes after sending them the pictures! So they are receiving them, but ignoring me.
I will never buy their products again. Cheap rubbish, I'm better off buying supermarket brand

I bought my Breville Espresso machine for $432 at Bed Bath and Beyond with one of their 20% off coupons. I have to admit, I was wondering if it would be money well spent, and so I left the store knowing I might have to return it. I absolutely LOVE my machine! It is by far the best purchase I have made in quite some time.
Once I figured out how to perfect my grind size, grind amount and filter basket, it’s been making amazing coffee ever since. They first day I used it, I drank WAY too much coffee trying to perfect my grind and stayed awake all night with palpitations. I highly recommend moderation???? when learning to use this machine: Treat it like wine tasting.
I’m so happy to get rid of the Keurig and the expensive single use plastic K-cups. My only wish is that the top either be made of metal, or have some kind of rubber mat in place. I love this machine so much that I’m buying one for my sister for Christmas!
When buying this machine, invest in a bang box for used coffee grounds, and try to limit grounds from going down the drain because they clog up the pipes.
Second, NEVER put the filter baskets in the dishwasher! It will ruin them. And lastly, we use osmosis filtered water in our machine because of heavy deposits in our fresh Alaskan water. I've read a few reviews where people are commenting about their machine not functioning properly, such as running slow or small amounts of coffee coming out, and it's most likely because they need to descale. This is actually mentioned in the instructions, which are pretty easy to follow. They even provide a quick cheat sheet guide for trouble shooting and operation.

I’m on my second Brevell espresso machine, the first one worked great for the first six months, and then started having issues. Inconsistent shots, sometimes the shot would come out dense and creamy, and then the next one comes out full of air and foam. I clean the machine once a month according to manufacturer directions but still have issues. I finally gave up and threw it away figuring it must’ve been a fluke because Brevell is supposed to be a really good machine. I went ahead and purchased a second machine, they are not cheap!
The second machine works good, but again started having the same issues at around 7 months. So completely frustrating every morning trying to get a good dense creamy solid shot, and end up with a shot that’s full of air and foam. I find myself wasting half a bag of coffee in the attempt. When I buy my next machine, it will not be a Breville! Feels like it’s manufactured to only work For a limited time before problems begin.

Good Customer Support
Contacted the company via email when the top heating elements on my seven year old Smart Oven stopped working. Received a reply within 24 hours with a case number, instructing me to call customer support to arrange for shipment and repair for $119. No problem for me with that, but it sure takes time to reach a support person. The call-back option they offer was not working at the time (at least not for me) so I waited on hold for about 25 minutes. When I finally got through, the support person was very polite and helpful. I have no complaints, other than the wait on the phone. Just be patient!

I don't have a Breville Barista Express, but I wanted to buy one until I could not even reach then after spending a whole morning waiting to be contacted by them. What the h***. How do they stay in business? I wanted to ask them about possibly buying an extended warranty, but will now look for another brand. Wow is all I can say and so disrespectful to customers. Very disappointed because the unit was highly recommended.

My sons bought me what I think was the first Breville Cafe Roma Espresso machine in 2003. It is still working well after 16 years. I have happily made Lattes just about every single day for myself and my husband since the day I received it. I just love it. I have told my sons that if it ever wears out I will go, on that very day, and buy another one. For a long time, I have been meaning to let Breville know how happy I am with it. Thank you, Breville, Shelley

Dual boiler machine is fabulous and their grinder excellent. I had a problem with the grinder recently and they replaced it no problems. Love a company that gives a great warranty.

We received our Breville Oracle coffee machine 2 weeks ago and have just had a white glove demo done at home by Emily in Mount Pleasant Western Australia. She was fantastic and made the experience so easy to understand.
She helped us work out how to achieve the coffee taste we wanted. It was really informative and interesting and fun! We highly recommend taking advantage of this fantastic free service offered by Breville.
Emily also showed us how to care for and clean our machine.
We love the machine and the coffee it produces is true barista quality as you would get in a good coffee shop.

Bought a breville cafe milk frother in late 2017 from David’s tea for a Christmas gift for myself, because why not treat myself? The insurance cheque had just cleared after the beast (total loss). Anyway, the milk frother stopped working today so I called breville expecting some reasonable troubleshooting tips or perhaps them to offer 30-40% off a new machine since this one was in pristine condition externally but had shhht the bed. Instead, the lady on the phone tells me if I don’t have the receipt there is nothing further they can do. I can pay 99$ for a repair—but that doesn’t give any warranty. It’s on sale at the bay for 129$ with shipping right now. She said based on my machines serial number I could have owned it since 2011. That’s insane. It was likely manufactured then, and in a warehouse, then sitting in a store for a while before I bought it. I lost everything in a fire that devastated my community. Does this “lady” really think I escaped with a milk frother and this is some conspiracy? What is she smoking?!?! I have a variable temperature breville kettle, and a handheld mixer and they’re both breville products. I’ll be selling this garbage and buying smeg, kitchen aid or something else. Never supporting this company again. Total disgust in the workmanship of this product and the employees.

We bought a Breville sandwich press about 14 months ago. Not a cheapo, I think it was $135 new. Very happy with its performance, much better than, well, the cheapos. Untill it stopped working. Assuming it had only 1 year warranty I rang the customer service number as displayed on the back of the unit. A very friendly and professional representative listened to my story, asked for the model number and with that she was able to determine that the machine has only been in production for 18 months, that it had 2 year warranty and arranged for a new one to be send to me, no invoice required. Received the new unit in 3 working days. Maybe the original unit died a bit too early considering the initial cost, but Breville's customer service is excellent in my experience.

This is the 4th Breville 12 cup thermal coffee grinding pot that I have purchased. In less than 12 months this machine no longer grinds coffee. I keep it in excellent condition making sure the shoot is clean so that ground coffee can move as it is supposed to. I have considerable experience working with this model machine so it's not from lack of attention to its working order.
The service tech was un-empathetic asking me to go thru cleaning steps although I explained that it was just cleaned. They are now going to take my coffee pot back and I can expect it to be gone for about 3 weeks. I questioned what I was to do for 3 weeks without my $350 pot and he said that this was the normal time with shipping. Basically - my problem. I requested that they send me a new pot, since mine is still under warranty. answer - " no".
Run... do not buy this machine. I've leaned the hard way giving by them 4 chances!

Brought a 4 slice top of the range toaster for $190 it lasted three months before it no longer toasted both sides of bread. The wife was going to return it but I smashed it on the concrete floor so I didn't have to get another Breville.

For all their expresso machines they have changed their water filter design to a proprietary filter they call ClaroSwiss which need to be changed every 3 months at 16 pounds a pop, making the machine a very costly appliance to operate at almost 60 pounds a year even though they're already a very expensive series of machines. The older charcoal filters were just 16 pounds a year for a box of six. No other expresso company does this and that is why I would encourage people to avoid this company and use another Espresso machine company as Sage machines are an expensive annual investment which doesn't include the cleaner tablets and other solutions needed to maintain it. If they ever decide to stop producing the ClaroSwiss filters, like they have with the older filters which are no longer available from them for machines that do use them, then you will have a machine that won't be able to run properly and will risk getting damaged. They're are better brands out there which offer cheaper cleaning methods that won't require you to spend your life throwing lots of money at it to kero it running. This change is a scam to squeeze more money out of people and to stop people using third party filters that are much cheaper. They are also much larger plastic devices which is terrible for the environment as they have to be thrown away. AVOID!

Four months ago we spent $1497.00 on a Breville top of the line coffee machine. Even took out extended product care warranty at a further cost of $229.00. What a treat for ourselves - yeah right!!!!!!!!!!! Not so.
Could not produce a hot
cup of coffee - long black or otherwise - from the ever so fancy looking Breville The Barista Express BE880BSS. So after four frustrating months - reading and rereading instruction booklet, trialing heating cups, talking to others - letting other people try to make an acceptable long black - we went out to Harvey Norman's in Whakatane New Zealand - the retailer that sold us this "wonderful machine", with our concerns.
A trained staff member - who was not the person who sold us the machine - then spent considerable time making coffees and talking to the technician at Breville. End result, we were told that the machine produces coffee at a factory set heat that cannot be changed, and that the setting was at the optimun heat to produce a good coffee. IN THEIR OPINION.
Given that this very important point was not discussed or disclosed to us at the time of purchase, or a demonstration offered at the time of purchase, to say that we are gutted to find that we have spent this amount of money on a machine that is incapable of producing a hot cup of coffee would be putting it mildly.
Shame on you Breville for manufacturing and marketing something that
does not do what the consumer is led to believe it can do and for what it is being purchased for. Our advice to anyone looking at buying a coffee machine is ...ASK THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION - CAN IT MAKE A HOT CUP OF COFFEE? Ask for a demonstration and if that is not available - WALK AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a toaster 7 months before it started tripping the electric last week. Seems to be a common fault, which they obviously know about. Tried writing a 1 star review, but they won’t publish it. How is that fair to customers? Don’t waste your money!

Please be wary if you choose this brand, I had a Breville espresso machine that short circuited, it was two and a half years old and well maintained. I rang Breville who organised for me to take the machine to a nearby repairer. The repairer soon contacted me to tell me that there was a leaky seal and that it was a manufacturing fault rather than a ware and tear issue. The cost to repair would be $320.
This would turn out to be the second repair to this machine, the first repair cost me $164. I rang Breville to see if there was any chance they would replace the machine or at least cover the cost of the repair especially considering the machine history. I was told the issue would be investigated and I would receive a phone call back in a day or two. After eight days and no phone call, I rang them back. Clearly the issue had not been investigated so the lady that took my call promised me she would follow this up and ring me back the following morning.
To her credit, she rang back and told me that as the machine 12 month warranty had run out it was a ware and tear issue (not what I was told by the repairer) and that none of the cost would be worn by breville, nor would I receive a replacement machine, in other words, as soon as the warranty had run out, they didn't want to know about it! I nearly fell over!!
Being a business owner myself this is a classic case of poor customer service, I have been a loyal brand (Breville) consumer for a number of years but poor service is something I simply will not tolerate.
Had Breville agreed to help me this review would be favourable rather than negative! I remain thoroughly disappointed rather than angry.
Needless to say, I will not be buying this brand again.......

So I bought the $2,500 Oracle coffee machine in Sept 2019, top of the line item.
I read the water filter reviews and was not happy so I called Breville and they assured me that this issue was resolved and it was a 1 time matter,
Fast foward to beginning of Dec and time for a new water filter. It is now Jan. 2nd and still no filters!. That was the short story, it was promised weeks ago, then was told out of stock.
When I complained to supervisor and said I am not going through this every time for new filters; that I want to return it, they said out of warrantty! I said but you lied about the issue and they just said sorry.
So NO DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM AT ALL!!
