Having getting fed up with PowerNI electric prices and Airtricity is no better. I find this electric provider alot fairer than the other 2 providers. Switching is easy but the topping up online option on the site could be better, Sure what can you expect from a smaller competitor and it's still by far cheaper than the other 2.

worst company in northern ireland,so much false information,and staff so rude,i was sent a letter saying they would change me over after 10 days,this was not true,1 person said 2 weeks,another said 3 weeks and another said 3½ weeks,i would like to encourage people not to join this micky mouse company,and with reading other reviews,rip of merchants as well,there are much better and cheaper companies out there with politer staff,i know it's not hard to be a call centre representative,personally i would call it a lack of education job!ie,thicko,half a brain,but this company are so false,ripoff scammers,and would like to warn people,please please don't join these spoons,you will get ripped off

Was a budget member for years then left after 2 months they came back around the door an I was mislead into joining giving 50 do not take my electric went through the roof, I would never have left if I knew I was put on a higher tariff I only discovered when I had to ring to see what was going on then to say 40 leaving, 9 ave been to citizen advice which will help me from here

been with this company since day one when they started trading in ni back in 2010/11 and went to leave last year as price was not competive so they offered me a 9 month deal so i took it.they rang me to stay so i thought ok they took the time to ring me and thought give them a chance so i did.7 months in to deal they remove it due to electrity price increases they were removing deals to try and keep standard customers on regular tarriff instead of remove deals which is reasonable. got to say credit to them for senting me a letter and also ringing to inform me so fair play and that is what customer service is about keeping the customer informed to thank you.

New customer signed up three weeks ago.
Spent the last three weeks trying to get the Budget Energy App to work so I can track my account and submit meter readings. It failed to work as it said I did not have an account, even though I’d had the account activated email. On the ‘contact us’ section they point you to Facebook and Twitter. They ignored my Twitter communication on two occasions saying that it was not regularly monitored!
I finally managed to get them to respond and then two days later make my account active.
23 days to get things working.

I hope things get better as I’m far from impressed so far.

All good to start then once you use the 50 pound free credit they must up the price going through 5 pound a day and only 2 of us living here!!

service was friendly quick and simple, and seemed great with £50 joining credit however I am finding that the usage fees do seem to be a lot more than power NI as that credit and what I had in meter has gone already not even a month later

Was misled information by this company, was only made aware of a daily surcharge by another company, seem to be topping up constantly even though I’m at work all day.. Now I’m being hit with a £40 charge for leaving early, have paid well over the odds for electricity.. Avoid this company at all costs!! They will say anything to get you to sign up!!

Sales person singed me up for cheaper electricity a few days later Budget changed the tariff and added daily surcharge and changed what i had signed up for, so i changed to another suppler. I have now been hit for a termination charge and threatening letter from Budget Energy. What seems cheaper at the time has become costly to me I don't think much of this company, read small print carefully !! They can change their part of the bargain but you will be penalized if you change your part.

Worst decision ever, working full time with kids at school, a direct debit of £120 a month and still claiming I owe them hundreds in arrears?? I must be supplying the entire neighbourhood!
