I had an order placed on Jan 5 , 2020 and they cancelled the order on Jan 6 because apparently they don't ship to an address different than the billing address. 20 days later and i still don't have the money refunded to my credit card. Why they charge me when they wouldn't ship it in the first place? Sent an email and got a promise i will get the money in few business days and a confirmation email. Until today i have no email and no money. Terrible company to deal with.

ordered a thermostat,

-item price was great
-shipping price was great
-item page was complete and thorough (didn't need to ask any questions prior to ordering)
-online ordering process was easy and straightforward
-was auto emailed an invoice upon order completion
-ordered on a saturday and it shipped on the immediate tuesday
-i was emailed the tracking # when the item shipped
-item was well packaged (double boxed) and was as described

I ordered a plumbing part on Wed afternoon in BC and it arrived before noon the next day. They also were the least expensive of any supplier I could find.
I'm always nervous ordering on line but not from Build.ca .

I ordered a faucet online on a Saturday, and it was delivered to me on a Tuesday. The faucet reached me before I received the e-mail confirmation of my order. The faucet was well packaged, in new condition, and as expected. I had some reservations about ordering because of some poor reviews I had read-although most of them centred around paying shipping fees when returning an item. In my experience ordering online, the customer is usually responsible for return shipping, regardless of the reason for the return, even if the initial order was received with free shipping. The cheapest I could get this faucet locally was $491 taxes in, and I got it from build.ca for $351 taxes in. The faucet is attractive and modern, has regular and spray modes, and the stainless steel finish is great for not showing fingerprints. I'm very pleased with my faucet, and my experience with build.ca

At first, i was hesitant about this company after reading some bad reviews about them warning Canadians to stay away. However, I did it anyway because they are way cheaper than Homedepot. I thought that I'll risk my $272 so i went ahead and ordered 2 fans. According to their site, shipment takes 3-5 days. I ordered it on a Sunday, arrived 1 day later. Fast shipping! Great product! From a satisfied customer from B.C.

I recently ordered a replacement cartridge for our American Standard kitchen faucet. Build.ca sent the wrong cartridge. When I informed them, customer service rep Nicole called me and told me that she would contact American Standard and ask them to send me the correct cartridge directly as it was still under warranty. I had forgotten about the long warranty and assumed it was just one year. Build.ca refunded my original purchase. Turns out if you Google the part number for my cartridge there are two very similar but different cartridges offered by various suppliers. I sent a photo of the old cartridge and that helped sort out the problem.

I purchased a kitchen sink at build.ca in August 2017. A delivery was very fast. The sink arrived just in three days (from Ontario to Vancouver).
When we open the box we realized that we didn't think about the depth of sink when we ordered it. It was a bit too deep for us. We called the company, got the return authorization number, and sent the sink back. We received money back fast and without any problem.

I ordered some toilets on April 25th. Told me it was going to be delayed until May 8th. Got a call on May 7th saying its going to be delayed until June 8th. Got another call on June 7th saying it was going to be delayed indefinitely. Got nothing from this company but a headache. Save your time and buy somewhere else.

In 2011 I ordered a cast iron sink from Faucetdirect (a build.com company) and had a fabulous experience. Even will having to pay custom charges it was a very smooth order. Naturally, when we decided to by a tankless water heater we decided to give build.ca a chance. We’d avoid the topic or customs and hopefully improve the delivery schedule. Big mistake.

Even though all items were in stock and identified as being regular shipping timelines, nothing was shipped for 10 days. Getting status updates was impossible as customer services is handled in the US but the Canadian customer service folk are apparently terrible at responding to their requests for information. The only saving grace was the US customer service agent was really nice but he was still unable to get us any information out of the Canadian staff.

The order was large enough to require a carrier. We've received carrier shipments before without issue but in this case build.ca employed a shipper that just doesn't show up. We booked them to arrive at 8am one morning and they simply didn't show. It's been two weeks since the order was placed and nothing has arrived.

If you are working under any sort of timeline I STRONGLY suggest not using build.ca. Their stated delivery timelines are highly suspect and you are likely to find any customer service experience to be very frustrating. If you are going to order from build, order directly with the US firm (build.com). Use the Canadian version at your own peril.

Given my experience thus far I only pay that I never have a warranty issue.

-bought a Rinnai thermostat accessory, pretty straight forward
-paid, billed to credit card immediately
-got back order notice approx 2 weeks
-waited over 2 weeks and called to inquire
-was told several times it would be investigated promptly but MORE DAYS of delays occurred
-a few more DAYS passed to find out it never arrived and needed to reorder
- would take another 2 weeks or so
-after A MONTH of this and additional careless Follow Up in timeliness of responses, I requested a cancel and full refund
-that appears to be handled ok, but I have yet to verify my refund on credit card

I ordered two cutting boards and they were ship promptly and arrived in 2 days in good condition

ordered a sink on a wednesday evening-it was delivered friday morning. Great price - much cheaper than anything I found at local home improvement stores. I did receive an email confirmation with an order #. No tracking number however. I had to call their customer service due to a problem with my credit card billing address and they were helpful and resolved my problem quickly. Would order from here again without hesitation.

We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field. We found that this business has an Instagram page, where they communicate with their customers using images and videos. This is usually an indication that the business has some visual aspects that it wants to showcase.
