Ordered a graphic novel from these people. They used USPS to deliver the product and USPS claimed that we had moved. I provided evidence that we had received an Amazon package the same exact day that the novel was supposedly delivered. Logic just doesn't seem to work with these people. They just don't get it. The novel wasn't delivered, we did not move, and the mistake was not ours. They just need to admit that they made a mistake and send us the book. Obnoxious and arrogant. You don't want to deal with these people.

Placed a pre-order with them for an omnibus and it showed the shipping was a flat rate of $3.99. Later found out that shipping was actually $60 and that they would charge the rest upon shipping.

To me “flat rate” doesn’t mean “we’ll charge you a portion now, won’t tell you the total, and then charge you whatever we want later.”

When I contacted them to cancel the pre-order, they would only refund 85% of what I paid, the 15% is to cover “transaction fees” but it was through PayPal, so those would have been refunded to the seller anyway.

Overall very shady business, avoid at all cost.

I purchased two graphic novels from CheapGraphicNovels.com. They state on their website that they ship in sturdy boxes. CheapGraphicNovels.com ended up shipping my two graphic novels in a flimsy cardboard mailer with no additional protection for my graphic novels. My graphic novels got damaged in the mail and I contacted customer service to return my books and get a refund. Max, who is the manager at Pulp Fiction Comics & Books in Long Beach, CA and runs customer service for CheapGraphicNovels.com, did not want to help me with my situation and he just banned me from the website. This company has no desire to retain customers and Max is extremely rude. Once they mail out your graphic novels and have your money, CheapGraphicNovels.com no longer cares what happens. I now only use Instocktrades.com for my graphic novel purchases. They treat me much better than CheapGraphicNovels.com and ship most of their orders in sturdy boxes.

Received an order with damaged books (completely smashed in corners on two of four books). Clearly damaged before shipment (inside bag, no damage to box) and requested return info. Response informed me that I need to ship them back at my cost and then will be refunded the books, minus original shipment cost. Then I can reorder them, paying for shipment again. (This would make three shipment charges at my expense!) Please take this into account if you make purchase with this seller. They DO have competitive prices, but you will be very stuck if there is any issue with the order at all. I have been a good customer with them, but they have lost this customer.

I've ordered twice from this company now- the first time was through Amazon so I could test them out and the second time was through their website because I was thrilled with the purchase from Amazon.

I ordered one book the first time and it was brand new and factory shipwrapped as offered but for 40% off MSRP and it was out of print. That was amazing. I tried their website the next time and ordered 4 different books. One of them ended up being out of stock and out of print but the other three came right away and were brand new and perfect. It did take over a week to get to me but you can't beat $5.99 flat rate shipping with their prices.

I will definitely order from them again.

I purchased a graphic novel that was listed in "new" condition but when I received the book it was obviously not, looked to be read and had a ding on one of the corners. I should have realized as this was normally a book listed as "out of stock". No initial problem when I contacted customer service, was told to send the book back, which I did. My complaint is that they only reimbursed me for the cost of the book and NOT the initial shipping fee nor the return shipping fee! So basically I am out around $11 in shipping fees for a $19 book that I no longer have! I will never order from them again.

I have purchased books from this site for years. I have never had the slightest issue with them. My only complaint would be the length of time it takes for them to process your order and ship it out, BUT when you take into account the amount of money you save over even Amazon.com, you begin to understand that some things are worth waiting for. I have never received a damaged product from them, and they always notify me if something I ordered is not in stock. I honestly do not understand the negative reviews I've read. It is like they have been going to a different site.

I've had difficulty with some orders in the past (didn't ship on time, product wasn't in stock and wasn't notified about when the restock would be until I contacted them, etc.), but recently, they decided to combine two of my orders - one was 3 books and other one a single book - into the same shipment and then decided to pocket the extra shipping cost. When I inquired the matter with customer service, Max pointed to their Terms of Service as to giving them carte blanche on how they decide to ship recent orders and keeping the extra payment. I certainly won't buy from them anymore. I get much better service from InStockTrades.
