I also would love to repurchase but I don't know if I well purely because I cannot purchase the product on it's on, which is ridiculous, the tangle tamer is an unfortunate waste on my hair and I also feel like its unnecessary to be forced to buy with the product everytime. And even worse just more wasteful plastic on the environment.
What I do like about it-
No yuckies, smells PHENOMENAL, 90% of my bod looked flawless after putting it on.
What I wasn’t thrilled about-
Okay, so I followed directions thoroughly. Step by step. Even waiting 30 minutes before applying after a shower. I exfoliated, shaved and the whole 9 yards before using, lightly moisturized dryer parts of my skin. EVERYTHING.
Let me tell you this, my bod, looked HOT. I am a bit of a chubby bunny, so I have those thick thighs (and the cellulite that comes with it) I have some slight fat rolls on my back etc etc..
Coco and Eve claims to help mask cellulite, you won’t turn orange and you won’t go patchy. I also think I remember them saying that it covers you evenly.
My cellulite was still pretty noticeable, stretch marks seemed to be glowing, and not how you want them to, but that didn’t really bother me so much because I think stretch marks are kinda cool.
I’ll admit, I did have a little bit of a tan starting before buying. I’m outside ALOT. But nothing too crazy. I wasn’t dark, just essenced by the sun. So I expected those parts to be darker than the rest of me. I bought the recommended mid shade.
Anyways, bod, on point.
Hands.. I kid you not, I have straight up Oompa Loompa hands. It has been EMBARRASSING. I used the mitt, the brush, and did the recommended “pea sized” amount of foam for my hands and feet. I tried everything to make my hands less orange, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, lemon juice. I exfoliate them at least 3 times a day. Dude. After a week, it’s now finally starting to come off and let me tell you HWHAT. It looks like vitiligo, which is absolutely beautiful when it comes naturally, but with orange hands? - not so much. It’s BAD.
Also, my feet, mostly around the heels, my skin turned orange after a few days they got pretty streaky and then it turned to pretty patchy. My cleavage is super patchy, so that REALLY sucks. My bikini line was super dark at first, and after a day or two, it’s back to being white.
Basically, my dudes, anywhere you sweat, don’t expect the tan to stay. It comes out almost immediately.
The worst part, the face..
in these commercials, you see these women GLOBBING this onto their face. There’s nothing in the directions about how much to apply to your face, so I did as the ladies in the commercials did... it literally looked like I gave myself blackface. I was running around my apartment PANICKING. After 3 face wipes, I was able to remove it all and try again, with pea sized amounts. Then I looked FIERCE. (Aside from the hands)
The first day with this product, you feel like god’s gift to the world. You feel and look like a golden goddess (or god). It’s incredible. My under eye bags, WHERE? Face imperfections? WHAT ARE THOSE?
(Though, before you rinse off, your black heads and pimples you didn’t even notice were there are now all of the sudden screaming at you through the mirror)
Sad facts-
I’ve had to reapply the foam to my face every other day because it nearly disappears with a days worth of facial cleansing, wether it be with face wipes, micellar water, or good old fashioned face wash. Doesn’t matter, it’s just gone. So if you don’t feel like keeping up with your face tan, don’t waste your money.
Another sad fact.. peach fuzz on the boobies, everyone’s got it. This stuff really gets in those hair follicles. So your boobies might look like they have dark organized freckles all over them. Same with your legs.
Pro tip-
Heavily moisturize your elbows, knees, and hands before applying. Even with the mitt.
Over all conclusion-
I am pretty disappointed, I feel lied to. But if this is really the best on the market, I might buy it again. Definitely will use up the rest of this bottle.
But if overnight definitely would wash my hands And face in two hours. It’s already fading and since it wasn’t a color I liked, I’m fine with it. But seems short lived (48hrs)
Update!!!! 6/16/2020
So I’m an idiot lol I reached out to them and they said it meant 03/2023 :’-) so it’s not expired but I did feel like I still had a bad bottle so without even asking, they sent me a brand new bottle with no charge, even with no shipping! So the customer service is extremely awesome! ❤️
