I like that by having this loan with the bank that all of my banking products are still with the one financial institution.
The interest rate is a little steep

I always read insurance policies carefully but in the change major exclusions came into play. In my case no claim can be made for anything associated with mental health. So when my son suddenly had a problem (after I had booked my trip) I can receive no coverage. When I tried to complain to the bank they put me through to "Commonwealth Travel claims Manager" who was an Allianz employee, not a bank employee.
12 months earlier the insurance covered mental health issues.
Stay clear of CBA.

This credit card comes with comprehensive international insurance cover. I have used it twice. Really easy to activate before flying overseas. Best part of this cover is available for not only the card holder, but for the spouse and kids (up to 10).
I highly recommend Commonwealth Bank Low Rate Gold credit card.

Still on call waiting the last 45 minutes.
Just terrible.
The call waiting music really does your head in after a few minutes....
I managed to speak to someone who tried to authenticate me, said I didnt have an account with CBA, so she transferred me through to another dpt, back on call waiting.
Really really lousy service. Call wait times in excess of 15 minutes are too long.

All I want to know is how much will it cost to break my loan agreement with the commonwealth bank.
Long phone queues, high interest rate in comparison to others, plus a yearly cost for the loan.
When there is a rate cut from the Reserve bank, the CBA doesn't pass it on (the last time).
Then the CBA has the gall to write to everyone that they will automatically reduce everyone's payment to the minimum to help during Covid-19.
If you really wanted to help, at least pass on the interest rate cut, rather than pocketing the extra saving for yourself.
Most people are smarter than that and can see through this deception.
In the long term, playing the long game, the bank will make a bucket load in extra interest due to the increased term of the loan.
That is taking advantage of a already bad situation.
Time for a change.

It's free. It's secure to use for online money transfers, deposits and direct debits.
Nothing. Having to transfer money to other accounts to be accessible via card/eftpos can be a bit of a nuisance, but a good preventative to on-spec spending.

Two days after the submission, we received a call to advise us that our claim was succesful.
A further two days and the correct amount of fund was deposited in our account.
We are very happy with this travel insurance and will continue to use the product.

2 x consultants sent out, neither of which were floor specialists (which they stated in their reports). Both were making factually incorrect statements that could not have been the cause of the damage Claim was rejected in December.
I then escalated to Customer Relations team disputing the decision and was told to provide a report from a certified specialist as my own information wasn't enough.
Sent through report (at my own expense) stating the reason for the floor damage (leaking dishwasher). Followed up a week later and have been told the claim has closed off and the case manager refuses to speak with me.
Now having to take it to the Customer Advocate. The story continues.

For a small patch up job due to storm damage they dragged it out after getting two maintenance people to look at the job.
They will insure you but never pay on 2 accounts. I’m done with them and would advise no one to get house Insurance not bank though them, in process of closing all accounts with them.

My case was a clear-cut case: my vehicle was parked and another driver reversed into it. I exchanged details with the other driver and passed them onto CommInsure.
After my car was repaired, I was required to pay the $700 excess before the car was released, even though they agreed that I was not-at-fault in this accident. They then told me I will get this back when they recover it from the other insurance company. It has been 5 months since the accident and they still have not recovered the money.
Since paying that excess, there has been no progress on the case. Each of the 9 times I've call up, I'm told someone will "look into it and call me back". I have never received a call back. The damage on the vehicle may have been less than $700 to fix, so they are content taking the money and calling it a day.
Additionally, their PDS states that excess will be waived in accidents where the vehicle is parked and details are provided. When I brought this up with them, I was told it doesn't apply to my specific case and the excess still applies.
