Very disappointed no help with changing my flight to later date and help to pay for it and get more room on a plane as my injury is still bad had to sort it out myself and pay for it,no help with doctors had to pay for and meds had to pay for very upset about it as I didnt understand what I had to tick on the forms thought I had done it all right,
Really upset and all this stress over it doesn't help with my epilepsy just hope I dont have another seizure on my way home from Finland to New Zealand with the pain of my back and ribs are having to sit on smallest seat when I cant sit for long ????????????

I contacted you today (28/1/20) with a question about my policy 8191 0047 4571. Your staff Sancho & Manjot were excellent.
Not so an earlier experience. This holiday ends with my flight departing Sydney on 23rd August. It was not until later that I realised it lands at Auckland at 0015 on the the 24th. I contacted you to ask if the policy needed modifying. I was told it did.
For that 15 minutes of the 24th you charged me $174. I had no choice but to pay. It is annoying because I have used that flight previously and it often lands before midnight. However, I felt if I did not pay the premium demanded you would not have accepted any claim on the policy if I were to make one.
As I said to you at the time $174 for 15 minutes is outrageous. It still rankles.
That does not detract from the help I received to-day.

I had my Passport stolen in Vietnam September 2017.
After applying for insurance for the above It was paid out very quickly.

We are travelling for 7 weeks in the UK. At our age (70+) Travel Insurance starts to get expensive. Add to that pre-existing conditions then some providers appear to think it's a licence to print money. Not so with Cover-More.
We processed the necessary online application and were amazed at the pricing difference. So much so that we did the process again - same answer. Not believing what we saw we then rang direct and the consultant (extremely helpful & pleasant) we dealt with took us through the process again - asked some slightly different questions - and we got the same answer.
Some providers refused to cover us and others were wanting to charge $800-$900 more than Cover-More.
We are looking forward to our trip and will certainly return to Cover-More for future quotations and have recommended them to friends & family.

easy to set up online
we had a claim 2 years ago due to a family emergency and will never forget how we were able to return home at short notice without having to worry about the costs.

Only one star because I was given over the phone a $20NZ excess but stated on the policy is an excess of $25NZ

Please revise and send me the altered excess statement.

I had a claim last year that I did not make because I thought Air NZ was transferring the booking at no cost to me. This turned out to not be the case
when I months later attempted to make a reservation.
I phoned Covermore who I had cover with for this flight ,( $600 in total) even
though about 8 or 9 months had elapsed from the time of the original flight
covermore accepted the late claim and paid out. I will continue to insure
with them after this wonderful experience.

The policy was very easy to purchase and for the first time I had the experience of having to lodge a claim on my return, after suffering an injury whilst in Australia. The claim process was so easy and straight forward, I was very impressed. Couldn't have asked for it to be easier.

We took out Covermore insurance for a very expensive trip to South America and Antarctica. Months after we had taken it out, and paid the full cost of the trip, one of us developed a potentially fatal illness that needed surgical intervention as soon as possible. The tour company agreed to carry over the balance of the fees paid to the following year, but not the deposit of about $9,500. Covermore refunded this amount and dealt efficiently with two other travel claims that we had from the part of the trip we were able to undertake. Their communication was mainly clear and we were content with the outcome. We have already insured again with them this year.
