I bought a comforter, shams and a couple of pillows for my bed. I was able to get free shipping and it got to me quickly. I had a great experience with Designer Living and will do more shopping with them.

I saw ad for comforter set on sale so I went to seller's ste. I put the item in the cart but the site then shut down. I wasn't able to complete the checkout. Tried periodically for a couple of hours and it was still down so I decided to do a google search for another retailer who carried this for about the same price. I found it on Amazon by the same seller. It showed the item had 10+ in stock. I purchased one set. Price I paid on Amazon wasn't as cheap as it was directly from their site but it was still a good buy. The charge went through and showed pending on my card and I received a confirmation from Amazon of the order. Hour or 2 later, I received a cancellation from Amazon. The reason provided was "technical difficulties". I've been an Amazon Prime member and I've never seen this before. I assumed at first that the retailer was out of stock. I emailed Designer Living through the contact seller link on Amazon. I then called them as well. I then called them as well. They stated they were NOT at fault for the cancellation.It was Amazon's fault. I then called Amazon and all they could say is that it was cancelled due to "technical difficulty" as listed. I didn't know what this meant and I wasn't at all sure that it was Amazon's fault since their site was in fact down, and it appeared they were kinda a mess. I also saw that the order did go through and had charged my card for the authorization & was confirmed by email so either way, I chalked it up to me not getting the order. Still...Not end of story.. Hours later, I then received an email in response to my earlier inquiry sent to Designer Living after order was cancelled. It said that the item I ordered was NOT out of stock and they didn't know why order was cancelled. I thought since I read the email almost right after it was sent, I would go online and place another reorder. Hopefully, first order was cancelled due to a glitch and this one would go through based on what they had just stated in the email. I immediately went back onto Amazon and placed a reorder for a single set. It showed 3 remaining in stock. Same thing happened, I received an authorization hold on my credit card and an email confirmation from Amazon. About 1.5 hours later, I received another Amazon email cancellation. This time the cause was listed as "item out of stock". I went back online and it was still showing 3 in stock. I was completely irritated. Now not only did they waste all my time placing and following up on orders, they also wasted more money that would be held up for about a 7 day hold that I wouldn't have access to until it was released. It's the end of the month so this was unnecessarily holding my funds for the initial order and then subsequent order after they said it was still in stock but it wasn't! I was pretty made then so I called the company again to see why I had received different and incorrect information. I spoke to a CSR and was told that they were experiencing issues with their website for many hours and they had been attempting to adjust their quantity of this item. She stated that this item was out of stock for many hours, even prior to the time of my 1st order. Inexcusable because even if they were unable to adjust quantity on their own website, they should have been able to do so easily directly on Amazon since their site had nothing to do with it. Amazon was up and running and the quantity is adjusted directly through that site, with a few minutes & easy clicks. I've sold on Amazon before so I'm aware it's not difficult to adjust inventory. They were aware that they didn't have any remaining in stock and yet, I received an email stating that they did and that the initial order wasn't cancelled from their end. Neither of those things was true and apparently, they don't share information either. It appears that they do have good sale prices but be aware that situations like this apparently happen pretty often I've read plenty of negative reviews dealing with issues such as stock availability, order cancellations and misinformation provided. You may want to consider shopping somewhere else if it's an important gift or something you want to make sure you get. You might pass up on another sale item to order from them and then end up getting cancelled and not getting it. Also, if you place an expensive order then you could end up having your funds authorized and held for 7-10 days depending on your bank before they release the funds back into your balance for availability. That is important if you are looking to get a certain item on sale and only have a limited amount of money till say next payday. Then you might end up with a cancelled order but the funds still held till the authorization falls off. In that case, you might not be able to reorder from someone else till those funds are available again. I think this company is really messy and it's not worth it for me to try and order a 3rd time. I won't be shopping with them again through their direct store, Amazon, Ebay, or a garage sale. lol

This site has some very good deals on bedding, linens, and pillows in their CLEARANCE BIN. They also have items that I can't believe anyone would pay the price for even though they are great quality items (Really- a pillow sham for $150?). The real deals are in the clearance bin. When I purchased from this site they were also offering a percentage off promotion on clearance. I got the best queen comforter I have ever owned for $24. Shipping is a flat rate of $7.95 or free shipping if you spend $75. Check this site out around holidays as this is usually when they have the best promo codes (next holiday-Labor Day). They also have a deal of the day on their site. Today, (07/29/11) you can get a comforter for 9.99 any size in black/red or blue/navy What are you waiting for?!! GO GO!!! Shipping was pretty quick and I would definitely recommend this site. Update 07/17/2016- Wow!...it has been 5 yrs. since my last review of this site so I thought I would provide an update. I have continued to order from designer living without any issues. I have purchased comforters, sheets, throws, a coverlet, and my most expensive item, a piece of furniture. I was very ambivalent about purchasing furniture online from any retailer but I had to have this dresser! It was selling at an awesome price! I took the chance and was not disappointed! Although it took about 3-4 weeks to arrive (they were upfront about this), it arrived well packaged with no damage. I was thrilled. Therefore, I stand by my previous review and wholeheartedly recommend this site. I can't address those issues others have had. I can only relate my experiences and say I personally have always had a great luck with this company! Happy shopping

I love Designer Living! Not only did they fix my order mistakes, they went above what I expected! This is uniquely my own experience so I can't vouch for anyone else...I placed an order and I botched it up, my brain not functioning and noone's fault but my own, but I also glitched up my shopping code...not only did Designer Living fix it all they did so cheerfully...they fixed my mistakes and I now have some lovely new house items and bedding...one of the pictures was too large to fit with my others, it was larger than I expected...I am impressed with the value of the order that I received....the pictures, both the Route 66 and the other one that I don't have a pic of, it's huge! Well, they are excellent, and heavy duty, ready to frame....not lightweight junk...nice, quality style items, and the bedding? Oh, I love my new moose flannel warm sheets and my new comforter set! They are so lovely and heavy duty. So, I can't vouch for anyone else, but my order was fantastic and worth every penny!

I bought one chest on 14th aug and never received it. When I contacted their customer service and asked where my package was. They said it may of gotten lost in the UPS. When I contacted ups, ups told me they never received this package from the sender ( the sender only created a tracking number and never sent it to ups ). So I asked for a replacement, they said all sold out. then I asked for a refund, they said cannot refund me till the UPS investigation is complete!!! Will not buy from this company anymore !!!!

I placed my order, and a hold in the amount of the entire order was placed on my card. I then received an email stating that only part of the order had been charged, and that I needed to call them to give a credit card number for the remainder or they would be re-routing my shipment back to their warehouse the next day. At this point, the full total was still pending as a charge on my card. I felt uncomfortable giving an additional credit card since it seemed like the full amount had been charged. I tried to explain this to Designer Living, but they were adamant that I had not been charged correctly, and quite frankly were rather rude about it. I asked them to cancel the order, credit my card in full, and re-route the shipments back to them. In the end, my card did indeed only get charged a portion of the order, and I ended up receiving one portion of the order. The customer service was so substandard that, while I'm not sure I was charged correctly, I'll just keep the curtains I received and call it a wash. I didn't want to send the order back and have to deal with them again. They won't receive any of my business in the future.

I found this sitejabber accidentally. I was reading through the reviews and am dumbfounded by the bad experiences written here. I have bought many thousands of dollars of bedding and comforters from Designer Living without incident. They have lower prices than anyone else because they represent the maker of the brands shown on their website. I carefully shop their sales, picking up incredible deals for our hospital gift shop. Their shipping is incredibly fast and I have never had an order delayed or lost. I have also not needed to return anything, which is expensive, because I am sure of what I am buying before I order. I have also not experienced any order being out of stock after I had purchased it. On one occasion, an item was missing from an order. I called customer service and told them what was missing, they apologized, and sent the item, which arrived in 2 days. No questions asked. Designer Living has allowed our little rural gift shop to be able to offer our community name brand bedding at affordable prices. I am sorry everyone hasn't had our experience.

Purchased a new shower curtain from them on-line. I was notified via email that the item was no longer available 5 days later. This was unacceptable to me. After spending/wasting all my time and energy on their site, creating an account, going through my selection of shower curtains, and finally ordering. Good luck....

I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order with this company. The colors in the curtains were not as pictured. I returned them almost 2 months ago and still haven't received my refund. I'm wondering if I'll ever get my money back. I'll update this if I do, but I'm not optimistic.

Oh, I love Designerliving. I purchased so many times and all of their products were great to me. Things I had been ordered: head board, bedding sets, carpets, dog beds, toy and etc. The shipping was fast and free when I bought 75 and more.

Seems to me people are fast to complain, but few actually file good reviews (thank you to those that do). It seems to me the happy customers probably far out-weigh the unhappy ones and that is how this company stays in business. I appreciated the reviewer who said they were glad they ignored the bad reviews and ordered anyway and was very happy - I'm ordering and I hope that I can write an equally good review.

please people do not shop here!! I have had a very bad experience last Thursday (October 12,2017): there was a sale for $7.99 blankets that I got an email from the company about, so I went to the site and tried to order them and the blankets were showing for more than $7.99 price. I did a chat with them and told them what was wrong and they told me the system or website needed to be update with the correct prices and to try back in two hours. I should have know then it would go down hill from there. I went back on and ordered when the prices changed, and then that was that. Then, about 30 minutes passed and I received an email stating that my order has been cancelled because the blankets sold out! I was like how can they be sold out when I made my order and they were available to be put in my cart and ordered? I was fuming and to top it all off, my credit card still is pending for the order they cancelled as of today, the 16th. they offered me 15% off my next order and I told them that is not doing me any good when I can't get the blankets I ordered. Please don't shop at this store, this whole experience was ridiculous and I will never shop here again!

I placed my ordered and received a call about mismatching billing and shipping addresses. While trying to verify this information, the agent Vanessa informed me that I should have stated it right away. I tried to explain that I have multiple residential addresses and need to ensure I provide the accurate one, she said she cannot accept my answer. She hung up before I was even able to express my frustration about such a poor customer service. Why even bother to be in business which such a nasty attitude.

I ordered 2 dog beds that were much smaller than described. Although they charged me $5.95 for shipping TO me, I have to pay $14.50 for their "shipping label!. The weight of each box was 2 lbs. In addition you will wait a MONTH to get what's left of you money back. Hardly worth the effort to return. The person on the phone was very snippy and I guarantee I will NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN.

I saw online a bedspread/comforter from DesignerLivng that was on sale so I orderd it. It is really a nice one that is quilted all over and also reversible. I am very happy . Some Cal. King sizes are small but not this one. It is really just perfect.

I have ordered several comforter set's, sheet sets, blankets and even a chair for my living room.I have been so pleased with everything. The craftsmanship is beyond what I expected. I have ordered , humm, over 8 comforter sets and pleased with every one. When you can get a comforter set that retails for over 600 dollars for a little over 100 and it's a name brand, YEA, go for it. The Artology and Madison Park and Hampton Hill are the best to me. I give them upteen Star's! Thank's Desinger Living,oh and the Designer Dollar's, makes me keep buying!

I ordered from Designer Living before reading the reviews. I got so scared that my stuff was going to be all jacked up and that I would lose my $400 that I spent on a lot of stuff for my bedroom and bathroom. When the boxes got there, I opened them and was very pleasantly surprised. My stuff was better that what I was expecting in the first place. Nothing was dirty, or torn. It was very neatly packaged. Everything was the right size and color. I would definitely order from them again.

I've ordered really nice comforter sets from Designer Living with no problems in the past. I recently moved into a new home and ordered counter stools. When I received them, they look like someone had splashed white paint on the brown wooden legs. I opted to return, understanding that I would have to pay for the shipping. It has now been 13 business days since they received my returned items and my return detail still states "return initiated." I chatted with a customer service rep last week who stated that returns can take anywhere between 10-15 business days. This is unheard of from any company I have returned items with. Additionally, this is not stated anywhere in the policy. I hate feeling like I have no control and will be given a generic answer.

the comforter itself is nice but they sent 2 sets of pillow cases one set was square and no idea what they are for have no pillows that fit them.my main problem is that this was a queen size comforter set,and i have a queen bed with queen size pillows .my pillows are 2 and a half feet long and the pillow cases are only 2 foot 1 inch so they are 5 inches too short for the pillows.i have talked to several people that have said this is a common problem with comfortor sets.you need to make queen size pillow cases that fit queen size pillows.not standard size pillows if its a queen size set .or the appropriate size for larger sets.
