I ordered some Phillips DLP TV lamps from Discount TV Lamps (Discount Merchant). The transaction was cleared as of December 14, 2011 and the item arrived on January 7th, 2012… 3.5 weeks??!! I called several times but unfortunately wasn’t able to get in touch with anyone and therefore had to leave a number of messages. When I finally got a hold of someone, they gave me excuses to why the processing time was delayed and why the package hasn’t been shipped. On another note: I provided an alternate credit card, requesting that it be charged to the new credit card provided and they still charged it on the original credit card. Before I order from here, I would think twice about purchasing from this company.

Horrible customer service! Do not buy anything from this Merchant. Sent the wrong part and its taking four days to try and get my correct part. I'd demand a refund but at this rate it would take a month!

First of all I had to e-mail them to get a tracking number for FedX...but got it fast in 4 days...The item could have been packed a bit better , instead of jamming it to one corner in the box... If the box were ever packed on something , it would have damaged the board.... other than that , ....price was good ... will order again from them ....

Ordered Philips XL-2200U replacement bulb for Sony TV on July 26. Received product on 29th even though I opted for USPS (cheapest) shipping method. The bulb was packed well and I had no issues with the online ordering system.

There is a considerable product return fee, so make sure you order the correct product.

item in stock, checked to be in stock, told ships in 48 hours , ordered 23rd,, called six times ,told six times the order would ship in the next morning,
order was shipped 120 hours later (7 days later) include the order date from 23rd 148hours but not sunday. Order was lost or misplaced in shipping,
my customer upset over the each day promise

Ordered a replacement lamp for my Samsung DLP on Saturday 11:00am EDT. They stated that orders received prior to 4:00pm EDT usually ship the same day. I thought for a bulb, it should ship. Called 2 days later and it still didn't arrive. The rep said that Fedex didn't pick it up. Sure blame Fedex for their own lack of customer service. Sorry, I canceled the order and told them I can't do business with Discount Merchant or MI Technologies!

I placed my order on the 25th of January, paid for the 3-5 day shipping. As of right now I was told it was shipped but couldn't tell me when I would get my lamp. He said I would eventually get it!!!!!!!!! Really??? Found out that it didn't ship until the 27th and couldn't tell me know more, asked to speak to the complaint department but they were in a meeting to call back........Man they have super customer service!!!!!! I will find somewhere else to order from next time!!

I found Discount Merchant using "Bing" and found a company whos web page was very easy to use. Seeing the bulb replacement tutorial on the site made it a "No Brainer" for me not to purchase the bulb only. My local TV dealer wanted $175. + taxes for the same option. I look forward to getting the lamp in the next few days and being able to use my Big Screen TV. Setting up an account was one of the easiest I have seen online. Good job...Keep up the good work.

Ordered this part from Discount-Merchant.com and received it within 22 hours (from the U.S. to Canada). The parts was exctly what I ordered and within 15 minutes of receiving it my T.V. was working again. I saved over $400.00 on a service call buy doing it myself with the right part.

Although my factory lamp was still good, I purchased a back-up for my 65" Mitsubishi DLP, because my son thought it was begining to dim after 2 years. Installed the new lamp from DM around Feb 2010. In may 2010 the lamp stopped working. I re-installed the factory lamp, and it works fine. Because I was initionally unable to locate the paperwork for the replacement lamp, I phoned them in August. They told me there was NOTHING they would do because it was over 6 months. For $150.00 I recieved about 5 months of service from the lamp. They were completely unwilling to even offer me another lamp at a discount. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING TAKEN!!!

I am sorry I did not do my due diligence and check for reviews before I purchased a "new" Sony television light engine from Discount-Merchant. Discount-Merchant said if I sent it back they would replace it. I did (at my cost) and they sent another one that was the incorrect model number and also used. ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD AND ACTUALLY WORSE THAN THE FIRST. When I called back last week, to ask for my money back the "manager" refused. So not am I only out of pocket for the light engine (approx US$400.), but also the shipping, duty to the Cayman Islands and the cost of the technician to remove and replace twice..GO ELSEWHERE. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

I called Discount Merchant to see if they had a Lamp for my tv which they did. Juan Perez was very helpful in finding it for me. He was very pleasent on the phone I would recommend that you call them for all you electronic needs

I was referred to Discount Merchant by a reputable TV repairman. I called them to order a DLP lamp assembly and spoke with Jonathan P. who was very courteous and helpful. He assisted me in placing my order and was also very knowledgeable when I asked him several questions. Jonathan was a very pleasant person and he helped solve my problem with my TV lamp. I will definitely order from them again and I will highly recommend them.

I'm a business owner in Toronto and have 4 Samsung DLP 61". As such, I need to order a lot of lamp replacement. Everybody's goal is to find the best price PLUS best service and reliability. Discount-Merchant.com has the best competitive price I've seen anywhere online and they've proven to be professional. If I had any doubts or worries, it is gone now. They take care of their customers and from my experience take care of Canadian customers as well. I did not have to say or ask for any special instructions regarding customs etc, they took care of everything. You will not be dissappointed. Keep up the good work Discount Merchant.

I purchased a lamp from them 4 months ago and it turned out to be the wrong one that I ordered. so when I tried to put it in my TV it was the wrong one and they gladly exchange that for me even though my warranty has expired. best experience I ever had

Purchased replacement bulb for Mitsubishi DLP at half the price of manufacturer. Called mfg for installation help, they were useless. Called Discount Merchant.com Caesar is great. He took all the time I needed to fix the problem. Better than the manufacturer. 100% Recomendation

Purchased a lamp for our Samsung television on March 16, 2015, shipped fast and we were able to successfully replace with no problems. On June 16, 2015 the lamp we purchased stopped working, I called the company this evening and spoke with Jonathan P., a wonderful customer service representative who not only listened to my "complaint and concern" but went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the product by sending a label for return of the lamp and replacing the lamp that was still under warranty! Jonathan also helped by letting me know that it is unusual for a lamp to burn out that quickly and perhaps there is something else wrong with the television; nonetheless, he was still happy to replace the product. THANK YOU SO MUCH Jonathan and Discount-Merchant.com for your excellent customer service!!

Discount Merchant delivered 2 bad colorwheels. They even claimed they tested the second one before it went out. I'm not sure how they really test them but obviously it is a worthless test. I would never buy from discount-merchant again. When I RMA'd the 2nd bad colorwheel they said they checked it and it was fine. I will bet my life that it is not fine and these jokers will be sending this "fine" colorwheel out to the next poor sucker. You could start this colorwheel up outside of the main housing and the wheel would spin up and soon after it starts to squeal. These guys are making money off restocking fees. I paid $82 for the colorwheel with shipping and all and they refunded me was $52. Very screwed up.

Paid Samsung tech to come look at it and he confirmed the colorwheel from DM was bad and that I needed another one. I purchased my third colorwheel from a seller on Ebay with good feedback (rather than pay the overpriced Samsung cost). Installed it and it worked like a charm. It has been working now flawlessly for about a week.
When I shared my experience with DM, they would not listen and said that colorwheel was fine and would not give me a full refund. Please think twice before buying from these folks.

This is my second time ordering from DM and I was so happy with their service and follow up the first time, it was a no-brainer to return a year later and reorder. Great product. Great service. Great company!
