The EJ Moves team was outstanding and incredibly supportive over the two day move in Beaconsfield. Completely professional, extremely efficient and careful with property during both packing and move. Audi and his team could not do enough to help, and made the whole process as stress-free as possible.

Two men from EJ Moves showed up to provide removal services from our flat in London, to our house in Essex. They were excellent, gave me a 1 hour arrival time slot and called to say how long they would be. When they arrived they were keen, polite and extremely efficient. They worked very hard, dismantling furniture and packing the boxes. At the other end, they arrived in good time (what traffic would allow), were again extremely polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Clean and tidy work men. I would definitely use them again. Many thanks for a job well done.

We found EJ Moves via an online search for a removals company for our relocation from Buckinghamshire to Lancashire.

Having spoke with them via email, and having emailed them a list of the larger items in our home so they could calculate van requirements a date and price was agreed and the move was booked.

We then had to move the removal date due to unforeseen circumstances which again was no bother and they could not be more helpful.

In addition, prior to moving we purchased a new garden furniture set which we informed EJ Removals about by email to ensure their was still enough space in the removal van, and again it was not an issue.

On moving day, a team of 3 men arrived and I cannot praise them enough for their promptness, presentation and care shown with our belongings BUT this was when the issue arrived.

We live in a 4 bed roomed property (which they were fully aware of), and they had only sent 2 x Luton vans for the house move.

Although the staff tried their best in fitting all our furniture and belongings into the vans they had, it was clear that it all wouldn't fit, and although the men on the day tried to source another van from head office, there were none spare to help.

This unfortunately meant that a portion of our belongings had to stay at the original address until the following day when they had a spare van.

And this is when the sting in the tail hits......

They proceeded to charge us a further £650 for another days removals even though I would expected this to have been included in the original price as we had been upfront with all our belonging and nothing was hidden from them (all being done by email for confirmation) and it was clearly not our fault that they had not sent vans big enough.

I then had to try and renegotiate the price as I was clearly not impressed on being charged again for completing the original job, which I successfully managed to get reduced to £500, although this was still a charge I still believe I should have not been liable for.

A great team of guys to help on the day, but beware as we did not have that much furniture to move as 3 of the bedrooms had built in wardrobes which stayed at the house, 2 of the beds were left as we had purchased new ones for our new home (which were delivered to our new home directly) and our dining room suite was given to the local Charity shop as again we had purchased a new one (again which was being delivered to the new home directly).

BEWARE OF HIDDEN COSTS................

The two gentlemen booked for the day to move our furniture rang first thing to give me their estimated time of arrival. They arrived in a timely fashion and introduced themselves immediately. From start to finish they were polite, friendly, professional and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble and they would check frequently with us about what else needed to be moved or where about things would go on arrival. I would recommend this service without hesitation.

Two Lithuanian boys, hard workers carried out the move. I'm really satisfied. EJ Moved recommended.

Excellent sales process with Ryan - our move was delayed during the “exchange” process and he kept in contact regularly just to touch base. On the day the removal guys were very polite and efficient taking care of all our larger furniture items and belongings. Hugely adaptable throughout- a stella experience overall - highly recommended

Used this company recently, would give 20 stars. Two laid back guys who just came in and moved us with absolute ease. They dismantled a massive sliding door wardrobe and reassembled again in no time. Can’t thank them enough.

2 pick up points served timeously and with professional attention by the 2 men who were courteous and cooperative throughout especially considering the size if two of the paces which meant one had to be returned to second collection point due inability to manoeuvre stairs at destination address. Excellent move, many thanks and well done.

Excellent service provided from first minute. The guys goes above and beyond the expectations. No problems of dismantling and assembling furniture. Lifting heavy items secure and safely. Overall very pleased with services. Highly recommended.

Used this company two years ago and was very happy and decided to use them again.

This time I am a bit upset about the level of services.
As soon as removers arrived they started to ask for more money, without calling and officially agreeing with the manager. I wrote to the manager about it and got no response.

Two guys who did our removing behaved quite unprofessional at times - commenting on the apartments (asking how much we pay for the rent, commenting about the quality of the apartments etc.) and our private belongings, they looked very grumpy and unhappy that we didn't offer them more money. This made me very uncomfortable and left an unpleasant feeling during the whole removing process.
I had to ask them several times not to drag furniture on the floor as it left marks as they kept doing it repeatedly.

In all fairness, they did loading and unloading quite fast, but I would not use them again because of this unprofessional behaviour from the removal guys.

Now Taking Legal Action

As I cannot get a response from anyone and despite the reply to my review stating I was offered another van (which I patently wasn't, as it was far too late on the Thursday before Good Friday and would've been the 3RD VAN), I have still not got my deposit back. I also incurred extra costs for storage due to not vacating when I had to.

And, for the record "Eddie", communication was shocking, I had to chase you EVERY time for updates. The "discount" you offered me was £20......once the job was complete and paid for in full, because you have overheads to cover! Welcome to the world of business.

I used this company 2 weeks ago and the men were 15 minutes early from the scheduled time. Really polite, reliable and they got the job done quickly and effectively. My belongings were in good condition after the move was complete with no damage.

I had to move twice in the last 2 months & having had such a positive experience with EJ Moves the first time, I wouldn’t even think about using anyone else for the second move! Peter and his team took so much stress away & the removal guys (different both times) worked like machines! I can’t recommend this company enough! Their rates are very competitive & if I ever need to move again (hopefully not for a while) I will call Peter again! Very happy!

I had a 2day move recently and had EJ Moves booked.
The lads arrived on time at 8.15, and immediately went to work loading. They were friendly, efficient and worked very hard all day, only finishing at 8.30pm! The second day was slightly easier for them as it was collecting from a storage unit and delivering to my new house. Again, they were on time at 9am and finished by 4.30.
I cannot recommend them highly enough! Peter called to check all was ok late on the first day and made sure that my packaging materials had all arrived prior to the move. A very successful job done!
