Electrical Detectives

Mohammad had to return to my previous job today as I’d had a complication. His thoroughness impressed me but his patience and knowledge impressed me most. He did not rush anything and ensured we got to the bottom of the complication and fixed it up. I’ve never dealt with such good electricians and I would gladly pay whatever their fee as it’s worth every cent to know that my electricals have finally been done properly (not like various other cowboys over 15 years), and I have true safety in my home. Thank you for your wonderful people, I will never use anyone else.

Hamzi was very punctual and arrived at the time when he said he would. He changed three switches and charged a reasonable price for the work. I would definitely use Electrical Detectives agin.

Misdiagnosed problem, unreliable, have had 3 no-shows for this company and now told I need a new quote but hey, we can't come today it will be another week. Absolutely untrustworthy and unreliable. Nobody even bothered to call to say they're not turning up.

Troy came out to install an oven in the morning but found some safety concerns in the switch, later that afternoon Joe, Frank, Jake and Aymen came and fixed everything, very professional, friendly. Joe explained all the work they did and supplied us wirh a certificate. Peace of mind knowing that the house is safe. I would recommend them to anyone.

We waited for the electrician, after tired waiting, called the number, and then be told that the electrician has canceled on us without specific reason. Very bad and unprofessional.

I have just had Jason from Electrical Detectives replace switches on the power board of our home in Forest Hill. His advice before proceeding was full and complete, offering 2 alternative proceedures which could be adopted to rectify the issue. He did not push the more expensive fix, even though this is what I eventually decided upon. Jason completed a full inspection of all power points and appliances which might also have caused the problem and he offered a complete explanation of all his work and the likely cause of the issue.
Electrical Detectives responded quickly and courteously to my initial call, Jason was at all times both efficient and professional, and I would recommend this company and Jason without hesitation.

Aircon Detectives today installed an airconditioner for me. I was very impressed with the service. Muhumad and Terry, the young men who did the work, were polite, caring and knowledgeable. They arrived promptly when expected, they carried out the work efficiently and quickly and the areas they worked in were clean and tidy when they left. I was very pleased with what they did. Andrew, the gentleman who came to give me a quote, also arrived on time and again was very polite, knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and assisted me with my decision. I was very impressed with the standard of service. I would recommend Aircon Detectives without any hesitation.

I recently had ducted airconditioning installed and my experience was exceptional. Andrew came out to quote. His knowledge was excellent, he answered all my questions, and offered a variety of ideas. I was most concerned about my ceilings being damaged, but rest assured, with Luke's outstanding handy work, I had nothing to fear. What a great team. Would recommend these guys at the drop of a hat.

I called these people as I was worried that a heater had stopped working in my bathroom and wondered if it was still OK to use the light which is part of the same appliance but still working (had no other light in bathroom to use). Called and was told they would come out the next morning which was great however unfortunately the guy who turned up seemed to be looking for extra $$$. Seems since I was a female on my own he decided to tell me that I needed the switches in my meter box all replaced as they were "dodgy" and I was putting my family at danger leaving them as they were. The job quote for the original heater/light replacement and the switches being replaced was about $1700.00 which I hadn't expected as I was only expecting having to get the heater/light replaced. Since I was told the household was "in danger" I paid the necessary deposit and was booked in for a couple of days later to get the work done as he deemed it as "urgent" so would squeeze me in as they were pretty booked up. I was actually shocked about the problem with the meter box as the house is under 10 years old so wasn't expecting this problem but was also a little dubious as the guy who came never actually got anything out to "check" the electricity safety and the house has a safety cut out switch, he just seemed to fiddle with the switches/buttons and then said they were faulty. I spoke to my partner that night and he believed I'd been taken for a ride since they probably thought as a female I wouldn't know what they were talking about which of course was correct. My partner got in contact with someone who had a friend that was a sparky who could come out and at least just "check" the meter box the next morning as he thought it sounded strange as well. The other sparky arrived in the morning did some tests using plug in equipment (which Electrical Detectives never did) and said it was rubbish, there was nothing wrong with my meter box switches and I just needed the heater/light replaced. Funny the price for that from him was cheaper than the Electrical Detectives cost quoted originally (all up without the new switches I saved about $1300.00) so honestly I would never recommend using these people to anyone. It took me nearly a week and numerous phone calls to get my deposit back (I paid it instantly via credit card but for some reason they couldn't reverse the payment and refund my credit card as all other companies normally do, they asked for my bank account details and had to send it to my bank account which again seemed very strange). Will NEVER go on what just one tradie says in the future as obviously there are plenty around just trying to bring in extra $$$$.

I lost power in my kitchen and Hamzi came out and did a fantastic job restoring “temporary” power to the fridge and hot water. His team along with Jordon, returned the next day (which was a Saturday) to complete the job and replaced the old asbestos switch board with an upgraded 3 phase panel. They also installed a 32a safety switch and ran a circuit from the switch board to the kitchen for a new induction cooktop. This turned out to be a more complicated than anticipated due to access. The boys were professional through out and did not complained at all. Thank you so much for a job well done.

Had Joe at my place he quoted for us to have our switch panel replaced the price he gave us was excellent and the works he Was performing was sensational. the team came out to complete the works they had pefomed everything Joe said he would do they provided me with a safety certificate and I cant be more happy with this company will recommended to family and friends.

My elderly Mum's house recently lost power during a severe storm. The following morning, she had to walk to a public phone to call the Electrical Detectives for help, as I live several hours away and was unaware of the situation . As the phone was on a busy street, she was unsure if the operator could even hear her well enough to book a call out, but sure enough, just a few hours later, Troy arrived.

Troy not only arranged for the repairs, but told her he was worried about her being all alone and asked if there was anything he could do for her. At her request, he texted me to advise me of the situation, and offered to call me to discuss further if required. He was also very understanding regarding the fact she didn't use credit cards or keep money in the house, and accepted a check.

I couldn't have asked for more, he treated her as well as if he was a family member, and I strongly recommend Electrical Detectives.

I rang this company to ask to get an electrician out to install a power point they asked about the occupancy conditions when I said I was renting off public housing but had all required paperwork to get the job completed and that I was personally responsible for the account refused to have anything to do with the job.

Recently I have installed 2 power points at my alfresco kitchen, one storage light which was wired only and a sensor connected to the light bulb of my foyer. I was looking for an electrician to do the jobs on the internet and posted it. Not long time has passed I got a phone call from Electical detectives and they told me to send an electrician to give me a quote. On the day of appointment Troy came to my house sharply on time and listened to what I wanted to have done. When we were discussing about the job, he suggested me several ways to do the job. Finally we agreed to do the job he gave me the quote on the site and as soon as we agreed the cost he started to do the job. He did the job so porfessionally and perfectly. Actually I didn't expect everything was done so perfectly on the same day when he visited me to give a quote. I spent a lot of time to find the right electrician to do the jobs for me but as you know there are so many bad contractors out there. Some of them want to rip you off and even once they get money they disappear even the job was not completely done. I think Electrical Detectives are one of the company you can trust and their workmanship is awesome. I hope their business goes well so many people can benefit from their professional and reliable work. Job done very fast is a bonus!!!

I encountered an issue with a circuit breaker that keeps tripping. Call up the company. Hamzi came and after inspection, he replaced the circuit breaker. I notice that he is a cautious person, he carefully inspected the whole lot before making the change.
I am impressed of the service provided.

Ben Dyer diagnosed our hot water heater problem quickly and arranged for the replacement to be installed the next day. I was impressed by his professional and open manner. I will use his company again.

I originally called this company for the repair of a bedroom PowerPoint the technician Hamzi arrived when he stated he would & informed me of an unsafe power safety box . Hamzi offered to repair the whole or part of the safety switches to avoid any financial stress on my part .
I elected to have the whole box replaced which he executed professionally & quickly

Our electric hot water system stopped working, it was an old tank, I send an enquire on a Sunday, within an hour, I got a phone call to book in an electrician to come out the next day, Troy came out Monday morning a had a look, he determined that we needed a new hot water tank, I received the quote and gave the go ahead, our new hot water system was up and running the next day.
