This energy service is over priced and they use ezdebit to charge you and sometime you might be charged more than once while paying through card. They don't refund you the amount that's been charged twice. The customer service is worst.I tried paying my first month bill through card and they charged me twice.
When I contacted them they told me they have only received only one transaction and recommended me to contact the bank . They were very rude. When I contacted bank , they recommended me to file a dispute. When I have filed the dispute. Energy trade contacted me to take back the dispute if not they told me they will charge me extra $44.
Actual mail send by them after three weeks of hassle.

"This email is in regards to the charge back notification we have received from your back.

It appears that you're currently disputing one of the payments you made towards your account for $119.71.

We can confirm that we have now received both of these payments, and that it puts your account balance in credit for $119.71. We'd suggest getting in contact with your bank and cancelling the dispute that you have raised with them because if it does go through you will be charged a $44.00 charge back fee by our payment ezidebit"

WORST , WORST , WORST Customer service and terrible contract.

We just left Energytrade but our gas and hot water is still with them as part of an embedded network.

They want us to pay for an appliance charge daily even if we don’t use the stove daily??

Ridiculous.

Anyone want to commence a class action join the thread.

I called a real person and my question was answered in under 5 minutes! I didn't know how to set-up direct debit and it was organised for me really quickly and the person I spoke to was lovely! You don't normally get this personal touch...

We (2 adults and 2 kids) moved from a 3 storey 3br townhouse with 2 aircon systems to a 3br apartment that is half the size of the previous place. Our energy consumption and bills have more than doubled, but we are using the same appliances minus 1 air con unit and are using them less. They are trying to tell me that a new, modern energy efficent apartment uses more power than a property twice the size a with one extra adult living in it.... We are locked in with them as the owner will not fit a new meter so we can use another company. No wonder the 1st tenants moved out after 6 months. We have to do the same now...

I recently bought a brand new apartment; Energy Trade were already the provider for the gas and electricity in the apartment block so we decided to stick with them. Moving in and turning on our gas and electricity was a simple and easy online process so that was great.
The past few months I have been with Energy Trade, my electricity bill has more than doubled. I thought I should try cutting down on our showers or changing our light bulbs, but somehow our bills just slowly kept going up. I finally decided to check the kWh charge on my bill and WOW, these guys are not cheap at all. Being an "embedded network" and since the whole apartment block was already set up with Energy Trade, I thought this had to be a cheaper alternative to the standard retail providers, but these guys are just a rip off. What's worse is they make it really difficult for you to change providers (which I am going through now).
I usually do my research before I sign up with a new provider or service, but with the stress of buying our first home, I went with whatever was provided to us. Now I am writing one of the first reviews on this company, hoping that I can help others who are looking to do their research, since there are not that many reviews available online at the moment for Energy Trade.

I have been with Energy Trade for 3 years and I’m always happy with the service. I get through to a real person and find the rates are competitive when I speak to my friends.
