I was a seller on Etsy. I was accused of violating Etsy policies, my account was subsequently banned. I received automated e-mail messages in response to my appeal.

The accusations made against me were completely invalid and hypocritical. Thousands of listings for the item I was banned for selling are still being sold by others on the website.

Etsy STOLE all of the money that they were withholding from me and had not payed me yet, then blocked me from logging into my account.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLATFORM, try Amazon etc. instead. HORRIBLE!

Avoid I was a seller on this scam site and make a few sales but had to cancel the orders as etsy took the money from my customers but 3 weeks later had not cleared the money to me..it seems to be a popular trick they play on sellers

I ordered a pregnancy album that costed around 48 euros. To this value, 24 euros of shipping were added, as the package was coming from USA to Belgium. Today, to receive this package, I had to pay more 28 euros, because of "customs fees". I wonder then if the shipping fees were only for the cardboard package. If yes, it's quite expansive... Almost 100 euros for an album that costs 48€, it's quite ridiculous. Mainly because the album doesn't really value the 50€... I fear I won't use this service again, neither I will recommend it to anyone.

I've started selling on Etsy 2 weeks ago. For the first 10 days, my shop was not visible to anyone else, and I had already paid $20 to Etsy. I sent Etsy an email, and they took 7 days to reply. After 2 days of being able to sell, my account was blocked without any reason. I decided then to close my shop. I paid my balance, and I sent Etsy an email asking then to close my account. After 2 days without a reply, they didn't delete the account, then they unblocked it without my consent and started running ads. They stole $37 from me while I was sleeping. Because of the ads that I didn't want, as I had asked for my account to be deleted, I got one sale that I won't fulfill. I am unable to cancel the order, as they want me to pay for it. The customer service is terrible, they ignore you and treat you badly. I won't give Etsy one more cent. Don't sell on Etsy, you will have zero support from them. T Terrible company. I am sure they will go out of business soon, it's impossible to treat your customers this bad and get away with it.

Etsy hacked my mother's credit card for a fictitious charge of $62 and then hacked it again for a "GW2" charge of $1, which USSA credit card informed us was a well-known Etsy fraudulent credit card scam meant to hack information and continue fictitious charges. The $1 was on the statement listed as a "catalogue." My mother had to have the charges blocked and an entirely new credit card number issued to her over this. BUYER BEWARE STAY AWAY from Etsy!!

My mother's credit card was hacked due to Etsy fictitious charges. An unknown $62 and the credit card had to block the charge and issue her a whole new card. On top of that, they charged her another $1 "GW2," which the credit card company (USAA) reported to us was a known Etsy fraudulent credit card scam practice. The $1 was listed on the account as a charge for a "catalogue" we never ordered! Etsy is trash! A bunch of scammers- BUYER BEWARE Stay AWAY!!!

Etsy is getting this 1 star review for not following their own policies. As a shop owner, reviews about 3rd parties are supposed to be removed yet they have not taken down multiple reviews that are solely due to the USPS's slow shipping service which is exactly what a 3rd party is. I hope this company goes bankrupt.

My order was sent to a different address then my shipping and billing address when I contacted the shop owner was not helpful said it wasn't her fault and after many attempts to reach esty customer service I just got dead ends would let go to place to file a report so I m out the money and the item which was supposed to be a gift will never order from esty again they don't care about their customers

My account is still suspended without a reason or any emails explaining why. This seems to be a widespread issue. A simple google search will show many people with this confusing issue. I’ve checked my junk mail. Nothing. I haven’t done anything to be suspended. I’ve reached out to Etsy multiple times to resolve the issue to no avail. I’m honestly disappointed. I was very excited to plan our wedding using Etsy small business vendors. I really wanted to support your company. Wanting to support your company set back wedding planning. I had everything that we wanted to purchase ready and planned. I had to start over finding new vendors outside of Etsy. I think the small business owners would be disappointed to know that potential customers are being blocked from purchasing on Etsy. Especially in the midst of an economic crisis that’s effecting small business owners the most. It’s also bad business to block potential business and go weeks without responding to customers who are seeking out assistance in supporting your platform. It’s hard to feel valued by a company who neglects their customers and business owners who trust you with a large part of their livelihoods. I’ve read on multiple message boards that this issue is happening without cause to a large number of customers and business owners. The common theme is that Etsy never responded. Some business owners stated they lost sales because of the lack of responsiveness. Getting in contact with Etsy is pretty impossible. Bad business.

My order was handled efficiently from start to finish. I ordered NFL masks for me in PA and daughter in CA. Four different teams for family favorites. No shipping charges. Snail mail arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I would order from Eric again.

Etsy has 2027 listings for WEED PIPES on their website, when I posted a hand-made ceremonial native pipe - they took my posting down and said it was an infringement on their regulations regarding cannabis?!?!? WTH. LOL - weed pipes are okay, along with papers, blunts, one hitters,paraphenelia etc..... but DO NOT list a ceremonial pipe otherwise you are reprimanded and threatened by Etsy to take down your entire store. Absolutely disgraceful. No customer service either - No email or contact phone number in Canada. You can pay for customer service - otherwise there is none. This company is outrageous.

I was recently scammed on etsy. I bought african basket/hats that ran about $200 from a shop called VungDecoration. I never received the item and the seller removed themself as a seller from etsy.com so there is not way for me to contact them. I will never order from etsy.com again. Etsy.com does not provide a way for you to get your money back. Do not order off of etsy.com! Buy from a reputable site that will take care of you if their sellers do not send you your item. etsy.com is a joke!

The canvas print took some time to come but perhaps that is excusable during the current Covid19 restrictions. The print itself was on good material and the colours were excellent. The only criticism I have is that the print was badly attached to the frame and this seriously impairs the whole effect. The corners of the canvas were folded over like an envelope so the creases were visible. I ordered two other prints at the same time and they had been constructed well so I think this may have been a one off mistake of a craftsman on a Friday afternoon.

F*** this company! My Etsy account was hacked 3 WEEKS ago - the hacker even changed my login email somehow, and I could NOT get in to see what was going on, contact anyone, or change my Password. I had to get a new debit card, immediately call my back because of all of this. That happened on September 6th. IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER 24TH. 3 weeks later, NINE emails sent and NO RESPONSE. Finally chatted in tonight (since they DON'T EVEN HAVE A PHONE NUMBER), and the useless rep told me he cannot let me into my account, cannot cancel my account though I requested, and has to send this to a manager and I have to wait LONGER to hear back. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've sent 9 emails... in case you forgot. NINE. And nothing. Now I have to wait even longer?! This company is aboslute GARBAGE and they deserve a huge LAWSUIT. F*** this horrible, neglectful, FRAUDULENT company.

Tried to chase delivery of order after 10 days and was told did I not know there is covid19 in the uk and it could take 8 weeks to receive my order. Katherine uses a viruses to excuse bad service. I work in healthcare and can get a container of goods from the USA in 3 weeks. Katherine your an idiot working for a second rate company ???

I bought an item from STEVE, the owner of Kaantang clothing in America and the product was not delivered. I paid $76.31 for a NYPD T-SHIRT and it wasn't delivered in the time period. I cannot contact STEVE or ETSY. No reply email. TYPICAL CRIMINALS. I have been ripped off.
