Range Hoods Island Wall Hood Ranges Kitchen Stove Hood

I purchased a home with a Euro Kitchen island hood already installed. I needed a new filter and contacted Euro Kitchen for help. I spoke to Morgan who requested pictures, I emailed pictures of the hood with measurements included. Morgan replied to let me know she is pretty sure she found a filter that will work. We spoke on the phone about baffle filters and the benefits over aluminum, I let her know I would like to order and she sent a Paypal invoice and I paid. I received two aluminum filters that were way too small, I called and spoke to Anh and that is where everything went downhill. I let her know I received the wrong size and type of filter, she apologized and sent me an email letting me know they will send the correct size baffle filter. The next box came with an aluminum filter that almost fit. I called again and spoke to Anh who offered no solutions. She sent me an email with a return label and said the reason they sent an aluminum filter is because that is what I originally ordered from Kevin. WHAT?? I never spoke to anyone named Kevin. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company, you will regret it! Also just like everyone else, the lights have never worked. On a side note Morgan was very nice and tried to help.

Looks great and works as expected, well mostly... Problem is that the hood lights are now on permamently on - after only 6 months use - a flaw admitted by the Customer Representative. Apparently this is a ~3% defect, and requires the hood to be uninstalled completely to replace the electronic board which is buried deep inside the assembly process. Having taken 3 people 5hours to assemble and install, I'm not about to uninstall... so lights remain on permanently. The only way to turn the lights off is to shut the power feed at the panel! Just waiting for lights to burn out and see what the replacement process/cost is. Customer service has been friendly & helpful... but the the cost & effort of fixing is all on me! Hmm... had I known all of this, I would have continued looking for other brands & models. Recommended but only with this caveat known.

I have a 30inch hood installed five years ago, the circuit board is out because of cheap and faulty designs they were using. I've ordered a new circuit board, but am cringing to get it after reading the feedback of others, just hoping it will retro-fit my unit. $80 and a $27 transformer later, and my Contractor said in all of his 30 years of work - he has never seen such a convoluted messy design - faulty design since the heat of cooking melts the transformer and circuits. The Euro-Kitchen only warranties their product for one year - now I know why.

We've owned a Euro Kitchens hood for five years and it's one of the worst purchases we made for our kitchen remodel. We've replaced both lamp sockets and the control panel, the filters, a transformer, etc. The parts are cheaply made, the switch housing fell apart after a year - and their parts are pricey enough that I rebuilt the housing several times with epoxy. The filter parts actually melt from cooking heat over time! The lighting transformer died a couple months ago, and now two of the actual switches on the board have fallen apart - at least I've gotten really good at taking the thing apart. Euro's customer service has consistently seemed like "tough luck, sucker". It's way louder than other hoods and doesn't really remove much smoke or grease. Guys, don't write a "can't wait to install it" review here - actually see how it holds up first.

Like others my lights stopped working after a year or two. I just stopped having lights, which annoyed me. I did manage to get sent to me instructions to replace control panel switch, and transformer or whatever. Like I can do that? And the overall feel of the switches was always cheap. I am glad I did not do what others did, send my money and time down a rat hole trying to get this thing to work. It's going to the landfill I'm afraid. This thing was like $400 and I thought I was splurging for quality. Can't get them on the phone very often either.
