Absolute dreadful from start to finish This was truly a nightmare from start to finish. We placed the order for a 4x3mtr conservatory in January 2018 after opting for the Everest brand as Fred Clarke(salesman ) sold us the Everest dream. However it was everything but. They only finished the installation on June 22nd 2019. During that time they took it down 4 times , built the base to small, cut the entire frame down to suit the base and rebuilt the entire side wall measuring mtrs long 2.5 times. It was a whopping £31,400 as well, and was actually the dearest quote we had , but it was all a pack of lies and poor workmanship. We were sold triple glazing only to be told upon installation that they could only fit double as it was too heavy . They charged us for a skip but placed it all in the street , my wife even had one of the fitters kiss her. We have so much to say it would take at least an hour to write, so we just wanted to warn you that there subcontractor workman are a mix of very good or very very poor, you only get the good when everything goes wrong. There was zero project management and no customer service whatsoever. We are now about to descend into a legal battle regarding the final cost . So all we ask is that you do your homework before opting for Everest because are very very far from the Best.

NEVER use this company or it's new company everest 2020. 11 years I have been patiently waiting for them to fix my garage door that cost a lot of money and never did work properly. Now, it's gone bust. Then they start again with a new name. Don't fall for this, they are rubbish. Way over priced, never wanting to fix any of their issues. I think its dreadful that they just close and re open by putting 2020 on the end. I hope they fail. I hope you don't get caught up with their rubbish product. They make me feel sick.

Lost a significant amount of money as my window deposit was lost as the company went into receivership. There were a number of other warning signs such as a useless planning application and the need for a repeat survey.

Customer ref: 42/EF1891AV Be warned! My family and I have been through over a year of hell after having to seek legal advice against this company after they breached several building regulations on a brick extension. The £1k I spent on an expert witness report was well spent money and if you ever find yourself in the same situation then evidentially you will need something like this. The workmen cut corners everywhere. They put plasterboard underneath a screed floor bridging a gap (this had already started to collapse which we only discovered due to the screed floor being incorrectly laid and coming away in pieces. Our floor would have essentially collapsed!) and put plastic packers and chunks of wood where the ceiling lintel had not been sat correctly on brick work! They tried to cover this up on the outside with plastic trim! These are massive safety issues and we ended up having to employ an independent builder to correct the works after the replacement ‘expert’ Everest sent breached building regulations again. This does not even scratch the surface on all of the faults. On top of all of this, we went through over 7 bifold doors with Everest and they finally admitted a fault at the manufacturers but would not openly admit they had got their measurements wrong. Even after they admitted fault we still had to get their permission to come out of the contract and employ another agency to replace these doors! Everest do not care about you and they certainly do not fit the best as per their slogan! If there is a legal issue then the head of this team Nick Flanagan tries to bully you in backing down and accepting his first offer. Even our solicitor found him ‘hard work’ and agreed regarding his bullying nature around his ‘scare tactics’ in his emails. For example, he makes threats to take you to court then backs down a week later with an offer! Everest have never apologised to us despite the CEO telling us that as a company they had failed us. Well once it went to the legal team then anything the CEO promised us just went straight out the window! I spent over a year of stress managing this legal situation which was partly whilst on maternity leave. During all of this we were unable to use any of our downstairs living space for over a whole year because of the delays Everest caused and the rectification works. That is two adults and one baby living in just two bedrooms! Please try and imagine the stress of that situation with no living space. Essentially , they also took away from me my maternity leave which should have been spent concentrating on my baby. I am more than happy to talk to anyone about our experience and I have retained all of the evidence of this throughout our year plus of hell! I would have quite happily seen this company to court but illness in the family meant we had to come to some sort of acceptance. By the way, they refused to honour our guarantee so if anything else goes wrong (we did find fault with the foundation but no surprise there!) then we will have to seek legal advice again! Please, please, please think twice about using this company! Their work is cheap, shoddy, illegal and dangerous! Certainly from our experience anyway. Read through the reviews online and you will actually find similar stories.! I will look to add evidential photos later.

Nothing but a poor experience, they couldn't care less about customer service or about treating the customer with respect. In our situation every single window and door had to be reset, every window & door had air leaking past the badly adjusted frames. They also attempted to get us to sign off the work before it was complete a number of times. We were spun a number of different lines about the air leaks, the best and most disturbing by far was where the fitter said "oh yes that happens, sometimes the frame needs to settle" - In this case it was the fact that the frame was not square and had to be "adjusted" by almost 25rmm and that the window opener was incorrectly adjusted It wasn't even down to a particular fitter, we had more than one team and they all made mistakes that i would have expected only if they were amateurs. They "lost" a complete window, i'd have given them more props if they had just said "i'm sorry it was forgotten on the build list and we have to rush it through the factory" but they didn't and it took 6 weeks to appear. Other than asking to get paid their ability to communicate is shocking, overall an horrendous experience that i'd rather never repeat.

I empathise with all the other people on here who have had bad experiences with Everest. To cut my long story short...I had an installation done just before Christmas 2019 and had reasons to need to make a formal complaint about the poor workmanship. I was promised that my complaint would be dealt with within 8 weeks. It was not. The customer service I received was appalling...just a load of missed appointments, delays and empty promises. This took us to mid- March 2020...and then we had lockdown. During this time Everest went into administration and, through this process, have conveniently been able to wash their hands of all their previous customers. Our guarantees and life-time warranty are null and void. Most annoying of all, they have restarted trading under a new name, Everest 2020. Clearly, it suits them very nicely to start with a clean sheet...and not have to face their responsibilities towards their customers from before lockdown. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

BE WARNED!!!! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR APPARENT 'GREAT REPUTATION' My contract number, in case people think I may be making this up, is EF3464AX. PLEASE READ THIS. I had read the reviews on Trustpilot and decided to go with Everest, even though they were not the cheapest, but because of their supposed high level of customer service. I had bought cheap in the past through Crystal Windows, who had to come back 5 times to fix my door lock. So I didn't want that hassle and thought I'd pay a premium for a high quality of service. The sales guy was very charming, nice and professional. He did the whole sales pitch and even jumped up and down on his window pane sample to show me how strong and secure it was. I explained about the bit of bad luck with Crystal Windows and how I wanted to go with someone who could assure quality. But from the moment you hand over that deposit, they become OBSESSED with getting the rest of their money I've had literally the ***WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER*** I will say to all of those that were lucky to get a good install first time around, that you were lucky. If your install goes badly, like mine did, it gets very NASTY. They just want your money ASAP with ZERO Customer Service Skills. I've sent them a list of TEN SNAGGING ITEMS including, would you believe, a crack that goes the whole entire length of the pane of glass where it was broken upon installation. I have a small child in the house who we now have to keep away from the pane of glass as it is cracked and moving. I haven't even received a genuine apology for the damage caused to my property??? They have failed to even give me a return date to put things right, but apparently the install manager Byron Whipple has sent me a legal letter by post today (rather strange how he didn't just attach it to his nasty email) as I've refused to pay the balance until they come and put right all of the things that they have either damaged on install, or are faulty. Just two days after the install and you're sending me legal letters?? are you serious? I just want the job put right. Would you drive a car out the showroom with a smashed windscreen and dents all over it?? No, so why should I pay the balance on a product which is faulty and you can't even give me a date to come and put it right? SO PLEASE HEED THIS AS A WARNING TO ALL THOSE CONSIDERING USING EVEREST. Regards David

Extremely happy customers I’ve been meaning to write a review for ages so here goes! I cannot express how happy and impressed I am with the service and work by Everest. We had an extension to the rear of our property built by Everest and everyday I smile when I come downstairs and see the beautiful eye catching extra room they have provided us with. Although as with every build a few complications arose as our property has a 5ft drop from the back of the garden ....however Everest resolve every problem or dispute. There were times when there was upset but every call I made to the Everest team calmed me as their customer service was second to non and there reassurance and understanding pulled us through. A massive thank you to the team in general but extra thanks to Shiraz in planning and Andy our wonderful project manager and the girls in the office, who became like councillors almost. Now we are really looking forward to the summer to enjoy our gorgeous new home and spectacular view. I honestly don’t think any other company would have been able to do our extension with the same care and emotions as Everest!! Thank you so so so much! Lisa and Chris Pitman

I have had the worst phone quote experience with this company. The person who called me was sighing on the phone when I asked him to repeat his question and he just told me 'for a replacement like this, is is going to be around 10 grand'. No information about the guarantees and no effort to engage with the client. For me this was really a deterrent to hire their services, even if they were the cheapest (actually so far they were the most expensive ones).

Having had 8 windows replaced by Everest in February. One of the bedroom windows has ceased to open and is now a fire escape risk. 2 other bedroom windows are becoming stiff to open. Have contacted Everest and been told they will no longer honour the guarantees. Absolutely appalled that this can happen. I would definitely stay away from this company.

Very disappointed. The sales rep was the only professional person we dealt with. We paid the extra to have “the best” and have been left with a nice looking glass extension that is currently leaking from 4 different points. The re-organisation now means there is no longer any responsibility for them to correct the problem. Very dissatisfied. There are many other companies out there offering similar quality products but with much better customer service.

We had four windows replaced by Everest in October 2019, during the installation work the fitters told me one of the windows had a faulty mechanism and would not open, they said they would send a report to Everest to send an engineer to repair it. We made numerous calls and left messages to ask when it would be repaired. It is now 29/3/2020 and have never received a reply.

.......WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING, WARNING............ If you were to overhear me telling someone how my 12 to 14 WEEK build for my "Conservatory" was going, you would step in and call BS, it is that unbelievable but PLEASE, read the following and follow the story as I write it. I am doing it to warn people off and save them the hassle that I am having to endure. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-2 www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-three www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-four www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-five www.georgepas.co.uk/everest-home-improvements-part-six Everything is factual and is backed up by physical paperwork. NOTHING is fabricated. Not everything can be disclosed as I will need to disclose it in court. £670 already paid in legal fees. £4305 and rising legal fees to pay. £620 Surveyors fees so far. £38,000+ for the "conservatory" which is still not finished and actually has to be pulled down and started again. My surveyors report is damning of the build. I have sent pictures to EVEREST HOME IMPROVEMENTS showing many defects including the inside wall being wet over TWO FEET up starting at the floor which is also wet. EVEREST HOME IMPROVEMENTS OWN SURVEYOR has written a damning report. One conservatory company who have been in business over thirty years REFUSE to touch it as "there is so much wrong with it, it will never be right". Another with a similar trading time has said that it needs to be pulled down and started again INCLUDING THE FOOTINGS! All of these reports are in the possession of the head of legal NICK FLANAGAN who refuses to accept this information and act on it. He also now IGNORES LETTERS from my solicitor. Copy and paste the first link and follow the disgusting way that EVEREST HOME IMPROVEMENTS operate and treat their customers. To help you to try to understand why I am writing about it and trying to draw your attention to it, is because the planning and designing was done in February/March 2017 and they started the physical work June 7th 2017. It is now 23 September 2019. I hope that people will read about my ongoing nightmare and the reviews of other victims and use an alternative company. Kind regards. G

In August 2019 I paid for surveyor to visit in order to get a replacement handle on the Everest front door that was out of guarantee period. He came and I was asked to pay the full cost of installing the handle before the item could be ordered. I paid. From that point on I've been trying to get a date for it to be fitted. For 3 months they argued between themselves whether stores had sent the part to the technician. Stores said yes technician said no. After that a technician arrived but with the wrong handle. Then i had to wait another 2 months. Today is the 16 January 2020 - 6 months after paying - and I am told that at last someone will come on Tuesday next week to do the work. Let's see if they do.

approx 12 visits to sort out French doors, they do not return your calls, and if you are retired or unable to work they will not compensate you as they only pay for loss of earnings,so my time is worth nothing to them. Will never use or reccomend them again.

review by John Brundrett.

We wish we had never entertained using Everest, its been a blight on our lives for the last 2 years. After the install, which was months late, we reported issues, and when fixing one issue they created others. The end result is that 2 windows where completely replaced, only to be even worse than the first attempt. When you pay for triple glazing, you don't expect to tape up the windows to stop the wind blowing though them, where they have been pulled out of shape, by installers who are on a bonus the more windows they fit in a day, no care is taken at all. One time after an adjustment we needed to call them out again as the window could be popped open when locked with a push. This was found while cleaning the windows, one window 1.5m wide that after numerus visits over the 2 years, has been giving the "all clear" even though no fixings have been used in the bottom edge of the window, meaning that if you push on the window, it flexes significantly. The FENSA and GGF good practice say that this should have at least 2 fixings along its length. They only get one star, as they keep the worst of the rain out.

I contacted Everest as one of the market leaders and they were the first to come out and quote for all of the windows and 2 doors in our house. Very pleasant upon arrival and quite clear with the process involved. Mentioned at the start that he would get his laptop out at the end and get a quote generated, however as the conversation went on he then inferred that he might get his laptop out if there was time. After an hour and 15 minutes he had decided there was not enough time to get his laptop out. We asked for a rough price but were given a figure ranging £4000 between high and low. We were quite clear that we had several quotes arranged for the two days and wanted to make our decision over the weekend. He however said that we needed to have a face-to-face meeting so couldn’t give us a quote over the phone or by email. We phoned again at the weekend after the other window companies had quoted and spoke to the sales agent asking for the Everest quote so that we could compare with our other quotes. We were clear to all companies that we wanted to get this moving and our install window was flexible to fit in with each companies best price. We were told that he couldn’t give us a price over the phone and was quite insistent and rude that he couldn’t give a price without meeting us face to face stating that it was company policy not to give figures over the phone or email. He said that he would call us back over the weekend but this phone call never came. Our front runner company called over the weekend and offered a lower price and gave us time to think about this. We tried to call Everest over the weekend but were put on hold for over 20 minutes. On Monday morning, once again, we tried to make contact with Everest, this time filling out their contact form on their website asking for someone from management to contact us to talk about a quote. Once again we didn’t receive any contact from Everest. On Tuesday evening, after further negotiation with our front runner we negotiated a lower price and agreed to sign with them in the evening. I had a courtesy call from Everest on Wednesday afternoon which stated that we had the original sales agent coming to give us the quote in the evening. We had not organised this meeting and we were going out to our daughters school event. I gave my honest feedback that we had asked for a price several times, but due to “company policy” we couldn’t be given a price over the phone or by email. I also let them how disparaging the sales agent was over other companies, and whilst I appreciate that he wanted to win our business, sometimes you just have to show how good your product is, not dis the other company. I said that he should let the sales agent know our decision to save any wasted journey. Unfortunately, this message did not get through to the sales agent who turned up just as we were about to go out. He brought his case to the door however when I opened the door surprised to see him, I let him know that the office has been informed that we had gone with someone else and thus his visit was not needed. The sales agent was incredibly rude and stormed back to his car thrusting the quote towards me saying “there’s your quote”. I asked him if I could look at the quote out of interest and he sharply came back saying “no you can’t“ in a rude and aggressive manner. I mentioned that the deposit that we put down with the other company was refundable but he said he’d had enough and got into his car. He said “I wish you’d have called me” to which I said that we had called him on Saturday morning to discuss and that he promised a call back over the weekend, a call that never came! I can’t believe the rudeness that I experienced and as happy not to go with them if that was the impression of the sales agent. The complete lack of communication and information experienced over the last few days dumbfounded. I would not recommend Everest and think that some of their internal policies regarding quotes need reviewing.
