I wanted to study Leadership and Management just out of interest but I was scared so I first completed my Cert IV of Frontline Management. I had never done a Cert IV before so I didn’t know what to expect. It is still of a high standard/expectation. The course got changed after I did it though. Jacob was alright but after I had written a checklist he said, “You made this checklist up”. I said, “No I didn’t. I got it from work”. It turned out the checklist didn’t have to be that complicated. It wasn’t pages and pages long so I had to do it again/resubmit. I was very nervous doing my video presentations but that was fine. They got me through it, but I still think it should be done in the Diploma not the Cert IV. Then I studied my Diploma of Leadership and Management. Lisa was one of the nicest teachers I’ve ever had. She was very supportive and encouraging in terms of online work and I completed my Diploma in one year though I had a possibility of an extension available. I completed it even though this was a surprise for friends and family cause they didn’t think I had it in me! At the start I had a problem with trainers not marking for a long time so I made a complaint. They said a lot of trainers had left but then it was alright from then on. I did not have a problem with either talking to Jacob or Lisa on the phone or through emails (or anyone else). I did not know whether to go ahead and do the Diploma so I got some sample questions first. I think they should have a Prac/Placement for the Diploma (in order to get a job) but they did not. It was all theory. Also another man was really organized/efficient who I initially spoke to about the course

This was my second (and last) attempted at using an RTO, honestly I did not have high hopes - but First Choice Training delivered a great course with excellent trainers. I dealt with two trainers throughout my studies, both of which were friendly and helpful. Bang for your buck as well.

I haven’t used First Choice Training in a while but I did my TAE40110 with them. I am now doing the TAE40116 with another company (iLearn Online – great mob for the TAE40116 by the way, see my review of them!) but wanted to come and give a shout out to you guys for providing such a great learning experience and a stepping stone for me for my current course. You were the best RTO I’ve dealt with to date, and I’ve been enrolled with three different ones including you guys. You’re courteous, friendly and your online system is straight-forward and streamlined.
I would recommend updating your website though as it does not accurately reflect the quality of your course material (it looks very outdated). Please thank Marcus (not sure if that was his name?) too for being such a role model when giving me feedback on my work.
Though you don’t sell the Training and Assessment Certificate anymore, to anyone reading this I would recommend First Choice for any of your educational needs.

Cheers,

Rhys

I have 7 completed units sitting and waiting to be marked been there for over 20 days. I have emailed several times, explaining that I need this to be signed off. Having read other comments that there Certs were quickly marked, I thought it would be the same for everyone. I am doing a Cert to get a position, I need to show proof that I have completed studies but I can't because no one can be bothered to mark my work or get back to me. I'm doing another cert with TAFE and no problems I can ask questions and my work has been marked with 5 days.

I finished my TAE with First Choice Training a while ago and I wanted to let everyone know that they have outstanding course material which I found easy really easy to follow. On top of that, my assessor (Michael) was really understanding and helped me whenever I needed!

Last year I completed my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and now I will be undertaking another course through First Choice Training. I was satisfied with the price and very happy with their level of professionalism; especially when handling personal information. Have had a purely positive experience to date, definitely recommend them to anyone on the fence about different RTOs.

I enrolled and completed my tae with first choice training and they had great course material which was easy to follow. the only issue I had was my assigned trainer left the company midway through and it I had to adjust to the new trainer. But the new trainer was better than the old one so that was okay.

Last year, I completed my TAE40110 with First Choice Training. Though it was a while ago, just wanted to give a shout out to them for providing me with the resources and information needed to complete the certificate. I’m now doing my TAE40116 with another company (First Choice sadly don’t offer it) and the TAE40110 was a great stepping stone. Fantastic trainers too.

I finished my tae and certificate 4 in health and safety with First Choice last year and now it needs updating. Although First Choice don't offer the new version of the tae, they were helpful in directing me to other companies that do. When I did my tae I had an easy experience it's a shame they don't offer them anymore. Do you plan on getting the new tae any time soon?

From when you submit your LLN (that test that you complete to show you can speak English) to when they get back to you takes way too long considering how easy it was to do (basic questions, multiple choice... why does it take days to get back?) but once they got that back to me, I had no issues. I haven't submitted all my units yet but am close and it's been pretty straightforward so far.

Twelling.Toll I think I answer something that you posted below. When I decided to update my TAE40110 to the TAE40116 First Choice suggested ilearn online because they decided not to apply for it through the government. Both companies at different times sent emails asking me to post on ProductReview to tell them what I thought. I just posted on both, figured why not? That might be why there are some double ups. I looked into it, they aren't sister companies but are both located in Queensland.

I recently completed my Cert IV in Leadership & Management, I was completely satisfied with the layout and content of this course, Jacob Shaw went above and beyond in his assistance and knowledge of the training..I will definitely use these guys again.

#delivery(5/5) #price(5/5) #quality(5/5) #customer service(5/5) #on-time(5/5)

I signed up for my Cert IV in TAE in January. Just a few weeks after that I was offered a really good position that required me to have my TAE completed. I requested priority marking and they approved it with the statement that it could take the same time time to mark my assessments either way. It seems like is all set to last for about 6 months and don't look sketchy. Anyway I was in a rush and no support whatsoever was provided by First Choice Training. I submitted all of my assessments in less than two weeks, but the priority marking did not really make any difference. So I requested a refund so I could co through an RTO that could go through my work and assess me on time for me to work. First Choice Training set a new twenty something deadline just to see if my refund request could be approved, to then say 'no'. So I did my TAE with another RTO that marked me on time, provided support and excellent materials (in contrast to First Choice's). I did not get a refund from First Choice and I had to let it go. I did get my job after obtaining my TAE with an RTO that cares.

#delivery(3/5) #price(3/5) #quality(3/5) #customer service(3/5) #on-time(3/5)

I am currently doing a Certificate IV in Business, and at this stage I find that the learning material that they have provided, is extremely unsatisfactory.
So far, I do not feel they provide adequate examples and pictures on how certain business documents should look, such as travel logs, business itineraries, action plans etc.
Because of this, I have had to use other websites, for sourcing the relevant information, as First Choice Training's content is simply useless.
In my time studying with this so-called organisation, I have noticed that the trainers/assessors do not seem to allow students to even get 2 - 3 activities/questions incorrect, also when you put some real effort into an activity, the trainers comments are terribly basic, such as using words like "good" or "very good", instead of "terrific work" or great effort" for example, which certainly does not encourage students like myself to try harder.
If First Choice Training, was the last Registered Training Organisation in my part of the world, I would find a way to study via an overseas institution.
I would not recommend this company to any person looking to improve their educational status, because once you start with this crowd and lastly it seems an absolute disgrace that we even call them a training organisation, because they simply are not.

Just completed my Cert IV in WHS and I’m 100% satisfied with First Choice, both as a company and the trainer assigned to me. Competitive prices, an easy to use portal, LOADS of help (Webinars, forums) – and the price was the lowest I could see online. I would highly recommend this RTO.

I have recently signed up for the Diploma of Project Management and so far I’m very happy with everything. The resources are modern, my trainer is great (and Australian, I was worried that they outsourced their staff like a lot of other RTOs seem to do these days) and I feel like I’m actually learning something. Danke First Choice!

I recently completed Cert 4 Leadership & Management.Jacob Shaw,my trainer was helpful, friendly and very competent. Perhaps a few sample answers might have been useful at the start,as I was new to long distance study. However,I enjoyed and completed it sucessfully. You do need to put the hours in,be prepared!

Unlike many RTOs that leave students to do their 'contact hours' mostly self-access online learning with crappy resources, First Choice College is perfectly organized, e-learning resources are clear and easy to follow, leading you to face assessments with everything you need and above all, you do learn at your own pace. Staff are really polite, professional and quick to respond and assist.

I did a business course through First Choice and overall I'm pretty happy with what I got. The price was well-suited and the staff were super helpful but I do feel their material needs some modernization. Some of the phrasing was a little awkward in the units and aesthetically not the most eye-catching. But would recommend them.

This RTO is 100% based in Australia and have super qualified trainers (at least the ones I dealt with anyway). Whenever I was stuck and needed some extra support they were all too happy to assist me however they could. They make it their goal to give you a great learning experience, which is so refreshing. That was my experience with the Diploma of Project Management :)
