First Intuition

I think the tutor explained the course material well and has helpped me prep for the exam.

I this it is very good that two exams (Couse Exam and Mock Exam) are provided to mark very important milestones in study phase. It helps to manage and control my study pace, though I always feel the deadline is quite challenging.
Actually I was not ready at all when I took the Course exam for AFM, but it was good to have taken it anyway, as this stimulated and encouraged me to keep working towards the exam.

I would recommend first intuition based on previous courses, however I was disappointed with the online lectures for ACCA AFM.

Our tutor Michelle was very engaging, approachable and friendly.

Tutors are amazing, great learning environment ive been with FI for my whole journey - didn’t feel the out of hours support as much as I did years ago ie: being able to reach certain tutors by text (which I believe was FIs USP) but over all I would recommend to any and everyone- customer service support is great too

I was not very happy this time mainly due to the tutor providing the service.

Unfortunately, Karen was the one who provided the course and revision and question day classes so there was no other tutor to balance things out a bit.
I found Karen very patronising (almost rude at times) and quite demotivating. She reacted to every question asked as if we (the students) cannot understand the obvious.
She emphasised how difficult this paper is so much and she told us so many times how badly we did after each question that there were moments that I felt like I don't stand a chance.
Sometimes it is good to encourage the students, set a more positive attitude.
I think Karen was totally not the right one for me (and for many others judging by the comments of other students during breaks).
I felt discouraged to ask questions because those few times that I did she patronised me, embarrassed me or I could even say bullied me.
Many other students felt the same.
We also noticed that whenever she was asked a question she was not feeling confident answering, she would rather insist on something that was wrong rather than admiting her mistake.
I have already attended courses for other papers at FI and I know FI tutors are generally very friendly and motivating. Normal nice people. So I was a bit surprised to see Karen being so different from what I have experienced before. It's as though she doesn't fit.
I think overall, the main problem lies with her personality and inability to provide good customer service which more than anything requires the tutor to respect the students.

I am still hoping to pass despite not having been able to make the most of this course due to the tutor's behaviour. But whatever happens, I would rather not be taught by Karen again. I am hoping more students who shared the same opinion will come forward.

I was happy with my tutor Sarah - she was very good in explaining how to approach questions etc.

However my only concern is as to why this course is only 1 week away from the exam - it does not give us students much time to prepare if there are areas we are struggling on.

I was surprised at the delivery of this course, i have had goo experiences in the past, I feel like i have not passed this exam

The tutor, Chris was Excellent. He was caring, energetic and passionate about the subject. Made it so much more interesting to study

The tutor clearly knows her stuff but it is way too much information to fit into the three day time frame so left the course knowing little more than I started with. It would be far better spread over 5 days so it can all be properly absorbed and processed, and would make much better value for money.

Great tuition provider (have used for last 4 ACA exams and all passed first time). Christian is a great tutor and very helpful / approachable too!

I think First Intuition were excellent with their tuition and support, would surely recommend them.

The booking and admin side took a while, when I arrived on my Induction day I didn't come up on the student list, however it was soon sorted out.

I would have give 5 stars if I was only considering Chris and the class itself. Highly recommended for classes and tutors.

Unfortunately, the course starting time has been changed 3 times in 2weeks and confirmed only a few working days before the starting day. A week of continuous back and forth emails to understand whether the course was going to happen.
I didn’t even get the material in time for the first lesson, nor I was offered a symbolic compensation.
It’s not the first time that dates and time are changed last minute. Great tutor, great class, but very unreliable and unorganised.

I thought Ravi was an excellent tutor for FM tuition and revision. He was more engaging than some of the other tutors i have had in the past.

Tutor did not finish the course 'Harvey Kennett' and was not engaging. I found it hard to listen to him for a long period of time and kept expressing political views which i felt were unnecessary.

Really easy to book the course, materials were received two days after the booking was made and the online course was laid out really well with small lectures to fit in around my full time job.

Christian was excellent and feel he really added value to the course

I wish the online tutor has more practical examples to give in order for students to understand better. Most of the course was just made of someone actually reading the book. Also, I found that the online sections order was not always synchronizing with the book.

I would usually be inclined to recommend First Intuition but unfortunately I was shocked by the attitude of the tutor which was sincerely unprofessional and simply rude! For example making a spectacle when a student was taking notes telling her not to when the whole class was, or telling a student they should go on BBC bitesize to help with their maths adding that its designed for children.
