Ordered flooring from this company in May 2017 from their store in Rotherham believing them to be a reputable company. Anticipated delivery was quoted as being two weeks, which was fine as we were not ready to put it down for a few weeks. Started to chase then up after approx 3 weeks, and was told there was an issue with the supplier delaying delivery, but it would be within the next seven days or so. Two days after talking to staff at the store, I received a call advising that the store had closed down, and my order would be delivered to Wakefield. Contacted the Wakefield store, and again was fobbed for regarding another delay in delivery. Rang again after after 3 days and spoke to a gentleman who said he was 'just standing in for someone' and did not have access to the system to track my order. He promised that I would receive a call back that afternoon. Needless to say, no call received and attempts to contact the store on numerous occasions since have failed with no one answering the phone. Tried calling a number of other stores around the country but they all had 'number incorrect' responses. Research after the event shows that many folks have had similar issues, and in fact this company have entered administration on 4 previous occurrences, with the last one being 2015. the two brothers who own the company have apparently been threatened with jail over their shady practices. no doubt on every administration customers have lost money. How they can seemingly continually get away with this is beyond me. Fortunately I paid the £700 on my Barclaycard, and they have since refunded my money. I have to say this was a fairly painless process and I was very impressed with the customer service from Barclaycard - what a contrast to Floors2Go. Incidentally, my receipt had a business heading of GPH Flooring, trading as Flooringworld, so two more companies to avoid.

Unfortunately, like so many others on this site, I did not review this company before dealing with them but we had bought from their Leeds store at the back end of last year, purchasing flooring that was in the store and which we were able to pay for and leave with. On January 5th we decided to do another room with the same flooring and therefore went back to the store, the necessary material was not in stock, but calls were made by the member of staff and we were told it would be delivered within 10 days, so we paid our £900 and off we went to wait for our delivery. Unfortunately 10 days went past, then 14, then 21 etc.. we called freqeuently to be told there was a delay as the product was being shipped from Spain, then we were informed the shipment had arrived in the UK but was held up in customs, all I can say is that Customs must have been exceptionally busy as by the 18th Feb our goods were still in a container waiting for clearance by customs. I went back to the store and asked for the order to be cancelled and for a refund to be given, and then had the same experience as most people up and down the country appear to have had in as far as I was told that their card machine is not capable of doing refunds and a form had to be filled in and sent to head office to enable direct payment to my bank account. The form was duly completed and submitted and I was assured that payment would be received within 10 days, but surprise surprise, no refund has been received as of yet! Last week I was told that the transaction had definitely been processed by the 'Head Office' and should be in my account by the 13th, however nothing materialised, I phoned the store again today and it was suggested that I should try claiming back directly from my credit card company! In my opinion this company is selling goods under false pretences, taking the customer's money with no intention of supplying the goods ordered and then leaving the purchaser to try getting a refund through claim back, I feel very sorry for anyone who has paid this company by cash, bank transfer or debit card as I doubt very much that they will see their money again. If you check the history of this company and its owners you will be see that this appears to be their standard method of operating and no doubt as the debts and legal pressures mount they will go into liquidation only to reopen the next day under a new name! Surely is must now be about time that criminal proceedings were taken against them, I personally shall be doing all that I can to ensure this happens. My advice is quite simple, do not pay this company a single penny unless you have the goods in your hands as otherwise your money will just disappear. In closing I feel sorry for staff in the Leeds shop as they have always been professional and polite in their dealings and I have no doubt that they are being used as pawns by the owners, however even they, by now, must surely be able to see for themselves what is happening and should surely have moved on!!!

Having been duped by David Harris and Floors2Go between 13 May 2017 and now, I have been speaking to the Consumer helpline, Companies House and the Insolvency Service who have offered the following advice:
Floors2Go never went into administration but according to the Insolvency Service have requested to be struck off by Companies House meaning all debts and liabilities die with the company. However Companies House have advised me to lodge an objection to the strike off action and if accepted they will suspend this for 3 months possibly giving people the opportunity to take action via Action Fraud. If you are affected and wish to also lodge an objection please email enquiries @ companies-house.gov.uk (had to add spaces to get it to post, remove them) and put Objection in the subject line then explain why you want to lodge an objection to the strike off action. You will need to include the Company Name and number (Floors2Go (UK) Ltd, 10138797). This may also be the case the for holding company WMT Holdings.
I hope this helps some.

having read the previous comments regarding floor to go it makes depressing reading to say the least, we ourselves are in the process of getting money back through our bank which on the face of it seems pretty straight forward (Halifax), horrendous company to deal with, continuous lies and blatant theft i would say, no intention of ever getting our flooring knowing they were closing... worth checking company house as it appears they are back up and running under a different name(s)....

We ordered and paid for a £1,600 engineered wooden floor from the Loughborough store last year. The floor never arrived- the floor fitters actually called us to say they wouldn't be coming to fit the (none existent) floor as Floors 2 Go hadn't paid them for the last 4 jobs they'd done. We confirmed with the store that the floor wasn't even in stock despite being booked in that day to fit! After being fobbed off and treated like idiots, it became clear they had never intended to supply the floor, and just wanted to take our money. So we requested a refund. We were even told that this had been processed, but it never materialised. Eventually we managed to claim the money back via the bank as Floors 2 Go simply refused to deal with us, despite the floor NEVER arriving. Disgusted doesn't even come close, I can't believe they're still trading. In addition, each time we visited the store to try to sort this mess out, there were other customers there with similar issues.

scammed by floors to go Paul
#95 27th May 16, 7:09 PM
I dont know if anyone can advise me but its worth a try. My daughter bought a flat in sheffield a couple of months ago, the carpet was dirty and ripped so she decided on wood flooring. We went into floors to go sheffield. We knew we wouldn't be able to afford the real wood so we were looking at laminate. A few minutes after being in the store a guy called Paul came up to us, we were asking about the different prices between the real wood and the laminate just in case there was an offer. Of course there was an offer Paul explained just today, we are offer 20% on the wood flooring. We went to the desk and gave Paul the measurements for the flat. It worked out we needed 40sqm of flooring, we asked for a price for fitting. So he said for the flooring and fitting it will cost £1400.00. We agreed on the price and paid in full. Two days later Paul rang and said the company had been taken over and the flooring will be delayed a couple of weeks. The Fitter finally came and took his own measurements we received another phone call from Paul saying we had measured up wrong and will need more flooring at a cost of £350 so we paid the extra 350. A couple of days later the fitter rang my daughter and said he would be able to lay the flooring on Saturday which she agreed.
OMG would you believe what the fitter said next: "The Price of fitting is £700" She phoned me straight away in tears as Paul had given us the price including fitting. I phoned the store right away and a sales assistant called Scott said "no the price you paid did not include fitting". I kept telling him that Paul said the fitting was included in the price. We should have looked at the invoice closer, it just had a load of scribble and numbers written on it. I then explained we could not afford 700 for fitting and would like a refund. Scott said we were not entitled to a refund as the company has now been taken over. So the wood flooring is now sat in floors 2 go waiting for my daughter to pick it up. Just dont know what to do we've been lied to and my daughter is so upset. What would anyone do in this situation. Not sure if to try and get a refund using chargeback, if any can advise me i'd be so grateful.
Thanks

After years of using same supplier for laminate flooring ,which was situated in current premises occupied by Foors Today, I feel like I have to comment on the service we received at the Bridgend branch. As soon as walking in we were greeted by warm friendly welcome. The salesman was very knowledgeable and accommodating and gave us lots of advice. He talked us through the latest products on the market and was extremely helpful. We will definitely be going back for future projects.
Yours sincerely

Paid £540 for flooring on the 29th May they said the floor would be in 7-10 working days. Its not the 23rd June 2017 and the wont give us a refund. Awful company. We ended up taking stock from the show of flooring that we don't even want.
