Beware of this company, I paid for a years insurance and cancelled after five months as I sold the vehicle, which was a second car. When I contacted Flux Direct to cancel the policy they informed me that I wasn’t due a partial refund as refunds were not in the T’s and C’s and not company policy. I have contacted the insurance ombudsman as I believe that Flux Directs policy is unlawful and fraudulent. Further, I was not made aware of this policy at the point of sale, therefore I have been mis-sold this car policy. Be very very wary of this company ????

*DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY
I am currently on my second black box policy as my first one got cancelled due to ‘bad driving behaviour’. I never had a problem with the company during the first 9 months of the policy, had a few cautions and warning which some were not justifiable and no one over the phone wouldn’t listen and I had to try and keep up the good driving. Pretty much got nearly impossible towards 11 months where I kept getting warning for going down the road and driving roads I know very well and NEVER had a problem driving before.
They never gave any indication to how many warnings you get till it would get cancelled and randomly 3 weeks before my insurance was to be renewed, my insurance got cancelled. Again, no one would justify why it was getting cancelled and also wanted to add in the fact I went over my mileage, but what I thought I exceeded it a few days ago, found out that it was 114 days before they decided to cancel my insurance to try and back up their evidence. NO ONE HAD GIVEN ANY WARNING FROM THE COMPANY TELL ME THAT I WAS ABOUT TO EXCEED MY MILEAGE IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER AND FOR MY INSURANCE TO BE CANCELLED IN MARCH!
Other insurance companies wouldn’t allow me to start a new policy with them because I had had my insurance cancelled on a black box policy which meant that they wouldn’t want to take up someone with ‘bad behaviour driving’ which meant that £3000 later, I had to stay with Flux and do another year on a new black box.
It then got even worse. I got more cautious with my driving because I didn’t want it to get cancelled again. I then started noticing that they would randomly put amber driving scores, which is were you went slightly over the speed limit, which never happened. I red on the term and conditions that the black box wasn’t exactly accurate, however, I knew that I wasn’t even near the speed limit itself, let alone over it. It then started adding red driving score, which could result in a caution, which again, I knew very well I wasn’t close to the limit. I then phoned the company and finally got the first person who ever helped in a year and a half with Flux. They proceeded to explain that there was random 30mph marking in a 70mph road, which would easily catch someone out driving. It you weren’t looking at your speed as I was, you would have accidentally thought you were going over the limit and wouldn’t question it. It then happened again where apparently the black box lost signal on a country road in a 30mph and instead of not registering the drive, it decided to add on 20mph to what I was doing which led to a red score. Fortunately, the lady on the phone did help to find more and another problem was found where the box registered me driving 40mph in a 20mph zone, which we then later found out it was a 30mph zone and that the entire reading was incorrect.
If I hadn’t called up then they would have gotten away with adding more money onto my policy. Now I have to continuously look and remember every drive I do and see where it is incorrectly recorded, which I should not be doing and defeats the whole point of a black box.
This is a massive scam of a company and would never recommend to any new drivers as what I have been through is honestly not worth the stress and hassle for a new driver and something that seriously needs to be looked into.

First of all the company renewed my insurance without my permission and gave me a week to cancel it. Hopefully I read the email on time and had some time to think about it and make my own decision. I found better deal in another company than it was renewed. Then I made a call to Flux Direct and explained that I found better deal in another company. The costumer service was ok while the lady was looking a better deal for me. When she found and explained everything for me, she was in a big rush and didn’t give me enough time to think about the deal. I had to make a decision very quick. I felt pressure to choose this company. I decided to accept the deal but I was disappointed that windscreen wasn’t included into the insurance while other companies offered this deal.

I’ve been with this company for a year now.
My insurance was about to end in 2 weeks. So I got an email with the renewal quote etc.
It said on the email, they will automatically take money from the registered credit card 5 days before the insurance renews, unless I call up before that to cancel it.
I’ve had no problems with this company what so ever.
Whenever I called up, the customer service was always friendly and helpful.
If you really want to find out what’s going on if you’re confused, I would recommend to call them. That’s what I done and everything was fine.

I am writing following an utterly disgraceful day after buying the car Insurance which was recommended by a friend yesterday. I didn't receive the policy documents straight away instead they send me over mid night.

After carefully going through the documents this morning, there were 2 to 3 errors which was different in the policy then which I entered at "Go compare site" such as, "The licence held which was nearly 4 months after I actually received my Full UK driving licence".

I called them this morning to rectify this morning instead the broker charged me a whopping over £120 pounds not including the amendment fee of around £30.

There should not bee ripping the customers! I have never been this disappointed with a service and insurance provider before.

14days gone and £90 I had to pay towards my windscreen replacement, no concrete word from FluxDirect or National windscreen. My vehicle is still unsafe, I've cancelled jobs and lost money due to to the fact that I haven't been mobile for 14days now. I reported this damage on the 22nd of may and today is the 5th of June, 14days to order and replace a windscreen and Will I get any form of compensation? I doubt it.

Daylight Robbery!!!

Insure you Lerner drivers elsewhere.. My 18 year old son passed his driving test 21 days into his 2nd year policy with this company. He had a £358.00 annual policy (paid monthly) and was charged £124.00 to cancel it 21 days in. He was unable to continue the policy as he had passed his test! We knew that was part of the terms and conditions, however what is very unclear is the charges you incur for doing this. totally outrageous. Its hard enough for young drivers to get value for insurance, but this company have just capitalized on this. Shame on you 'FLUX DIRECT'.

I paid the amount owed after my son received a letter just 10 days after cancelling the policy threatening court action against him.

BE AWARE OF HIDDEN/UNCLEAR COSTS
Social media will hear about this.

Used to be cheap but over the years I have been with them the price has increased considerably the only reason I'm still with them this time round is I didn't get chance to cancel before they had set it up again, and to cancel now I'll be strung with hefty cancellation fees.

Once I'd agreed to take out my insurance with this company they then requested photocopies of my driving license and written signed confirmation to say that my car was garaged overnight, every night, which made me wonder if my car happened to be out one night and happened to get stolen, would my car be covered. I will not be renewing my insurance with this company.

After insuring a vehicle with Adrian Flux I had to cancel the policy within 7 days due to unforeseen circumstances. The cancellation charge and fees were absolutely extortionate and there was no leeway given despite the circumstances. Beware of this if you decide to use this insurance company!!

like many of your former customers, when you accepted my fee and agreed my insurance,i thought great, thats that sorted.not knowing that I would then be required to sign afidavits that I had a garage and that I would lock my car in it,you asked me for photos both sides of my driving lic etc, etc, I have been driving over 40 years and 10yrs ncb.i decided not to continue with your company as my insurance didn't start until 28th jan. you took my payment 11thjan ,I cancelled on the 13th over the phone.and was told it would cost me£50, I commented its a rip off,and was asked if I read the small print, and was told you would reduce it to £30.which you have taken// I am 78yrs old and never had the misfortune of dealing with people like yourselves. and I have now insured with a slightly more expensive company, online in 15mins. a lesson learned//

I had nothing but problems with this provider and at the same time the insurance broker. The first problem was when i phoned up to make a claim none of the details were passed to my broker which delayed the whole process and broke their terms and conditions. There was so much hidden jargon, that most of the important things I needed to cover weren't actually covered according to my small print even tho when I brought the policy online they made it look lt was all covered. This ended up with me loosing around £5000 worth of tools and put me out of work for the foreseeable future. I would never go through them again and I suggest anyone else avoid using them too... there's a reason there cheaper than the rest. To be honest the whole experience has put me off using comparison sites full stop..

Exactly 5 months ago today my car was in an accident in which the 3rd part immediately accepted uncontested liability. And it has taken until now to get it booked into a garage this weekend for repairs. The service - and that of the million or so companies Flux farms work out to - Accident Exchange, Trinity lane, Coplus, SandGResposne - has been farcical. I've had to do most of the legwork myself. Total waste of time ever getting insurance through Adrian Flux.

Initially gave a good quote of £455, then refused to accept documantary evidence of 24 years NCB from 3 different vehices and suggested an adjustment of £856. Hilariaous! Got a quote of £440 from a decent company (Admiral) who accepted my NCB and cancelled the policy with Flux. They charged me £181 to cancel after one month. What a racket lure you in with cheap quote then try and fleece you. Dont waste your time with these guys
