Freeman Jones

Took an IVA out in 2013, completed it a year early in 2017. Contacted the government insolvency register as I am still on it today which is preventing me getting a mortgage, they have not received the completion documents from Freeman Jones so cant remove me !!!
I should have been removed over 2 years ago...
Total disgrace
And to top it off I left an email for a call back, when I told them what had happened they put the phone down..

Started my IVA in 2012 with Harrington Brooks and for 5 years, the service I received has been exceptional! At no point have I been stressed. They took over ALL communication with my creditors and the threatening letters and phone calls stopped immediately. The communication through the process was second to none. They were available via email, phone, post and kept me informed throughout. I received my Certificate of completion within a few months and immediately signed up for my credit file with the 3 CRAs and my file was cleared except for one creditor who had the wrong default date by 4 years!! I contacted Freeman Jones and they immediately took down the details of the creditor to make contact and resolve. I had difficulty getting the creditor to hear me out. Freeman Jones understood exactly what the issue was and what needed to be done to resolve the matter. I am currently awaiting confirmation that this creditor will delete the account from my file. Every single person I have spoken to over the last now 6 years has been fantastic. I have full faith that Freeman Jones will have this resolved. I will update once done. I am SOOOOOO grateful for their service and the way they handled and are continuing to handle my account. FINALLY I have financial freedom and I couldn't have done it without Freeman Jones. If you need an IVA, I highly recommend Freeman Jones!!

Update 05/10/2019:
After raving about the organisation, I have realised I was praising the wrong organisation. As mentioned above I was waiting to hear from Freeman Jones regarding an issue with a creditor and have not heard a word from Freeman Jones since. I've ended up hunting down the necessary person in the lenders organisation and bombarding them to resolve my query and finally resolved it myself. Thinking about it, I hadn't needed assistance with my IVA from Freeman Jones since they took over from Harrington Brooks, so all the praise above belongs to Harrington books not Freeman Jones. For that reason I am going to change my star rating accordingly.

Well I started my IVA in Sept 2013 I had kept payments going and never missed. Now I have finished my last payment in April of 2019, spoke to an advisor and was told of a backlog but my certificate should arrive in July, now September I email Ian and low and behold 6 months later a letter stating I owe them money ?? If anybody owes money they chase you straight away. So now I feel they are holding my certificate ransom to get more money out if me. If this carries on I am going to complain to them and the FCA as a few people have had the same.

do not use this company i only had 5grand of debt have paid for 3 years and have had had lump of 5 grand paid off yet still saying i owe 3400 and they expecting more money off me absolute joke, and when asked for statements of payments am still waiting almost 2 month later

i would like to say don't bother with them i am not able to say on here what happened because it will not be excepted take my advice find another company
DO NOT take out any other service they offer Its an on going dispute
don't trust them id hate others to suffer better going bankrupt

they talk a lot but still take your money first then when you contact the after 6 years of payments completed find things you have not done spread the word there no good they just want you to fail and take your money THEY DONT CARE

Mostly very good service and helpful but some aspects very stressful of the three way conversations between Freeman Jones, yourself and creditors or possible creditors.

Your iva is never going to be over I feel absolutely devastated silly me thinking that you can believe what this company says I was told and have it in writing that my iva would be finished in March so today cheerfully thought let's ring them and find out what happens when my iva is finished and to be told its not finished till April, last year I thought it was finished in June but I had a payment break which I knew nothing about so there was a investigation and the outcome was I had to carry on paying to March 2020 so that's what I been doing and of course than get the news it's not finished until April what happens next month I probably get told its not finish till May, this has been the worst 2 years of my life since this company took over my iva and the worst 6 years since I made the choice of taking a iva it would of been easier to become bankrupt.

I would like to share a positive review to anyone thinking of pursuing an IVA with Freeman Jones. I initially started out with Harrington Brooks who were taken over by Freeman Jones. After successfully paying every monthly payment for 5 years, and always completing my financial/income review in a timely manner, I can now officially say that I have recieved my completion certificate to say I am debt free. It has been a long and difficult journey but worthwhile in the end. My only advise would be that if you run in to any difficulties or need financial advise, to just contact them.

I would give no stars if I could.Like most people I started out with Harrington Brooks, so had no choice but to join Freeman Jones. I am in my final year of the VIA and thought I could start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I have just had 4 letters off them. One to say that my monthly payments have gone up from £282 to £439 because my disposable income has gone up 50%. I wish it had. They also now want to value my house to see how much equity there is!!!. According to my annual statement I owe £2800.00 but still have to pay £439 for the next ten months. You work out the maths!! So why do they need my house equity???
I feel as if I have borrowed money off a loan shark and it is never going to end.
It is no good ringing them because they take hours to answer and I can't afford the phone bill.
Think I will contact the FCA, because there is something that is not right here.
Hopefully there is a way out of the never ending nightmare.

From the first day someone is at the end of the phone to answer any questions you may have.
Would highly recommend if you need any help with debt.

Well yet again they have changed there name again to financial wellness group 3rd name change in 3 years need i say anymore ?
This company are very good at hounding you if you miss a payment they even send you text messages on New Years Day and even send two text messages and 2 phone calls until you answer all within 3 hours,
some people have emergencies i e vets but i have come to the conclusion this company is not interested in you but have one aim and that's greed and money I am disgusted with this company to such a point I wished now I never went anywhere near these hounds,They are a disgrace and i feel i have let myself down for being stupid enough to even go with these,
Very disappointed by the attitude but then again money talks but hounding you on a bank holiday is not on but this company thinks its fine, Sorry not for me being ill is bad enough but hounding is a no no for me,
I have no confidence in this company anymore totally blown it for me now,
