Second time with this place and my experience was more or less the same as the first time - different purchase (some sony security dome cameras), but same level of service as before. Satisfactory, no bells and whistles.

I used the same shipping option (3 days) as last time and had no issues.

Ordered labeling software with 2nd day air from Gemini Computer, had my card charged and 5 days passed without hearing anything. When I called, they said my order had been canceled and didn't offer a valid explanation.

Should've known better than buying discount software online - scam site, through and through.

Ordered a mc9090-gf0hcjfa6wr that has 128/128MB of memory we got a unit that had 60 MB of total memory and even less of available memory. The issue wasn't with the difference between total and available memory but the issue was with the total memory. Since it was showing a total of 60MB means that the wrong product was shipped. Motorola's tech support confirmed this and Microsoft's tech support confirmed that's how the OS displays the information. We couldn't exchange this product we were told that it must be returned so we had it returned, the company then promptly refunded only some of the money, keeping $555.85 claiming restocking fee, even though they shipped the wrong part and it was confirmed by the manufacturers themselves and even one additional authorized distributor of Motorola products.

You charge a restocking fee when you don't screw up the shipping order but right now when told this the company chooses to simply ignore and deny that they messed up the order.

UPDATE 04/05/2011: Authorized distributors of Motorola products and Motorola themselves have confirmed our case. As of 04/05/2011 bank shows no return of any funds. Gemini Computers Inc claim of returning the rest of the funds is false.

Ordered a KVM switch one week ago today. Their website indicates "In stock, ready to ship". No shipment notification, no indication that the order will be delayed, no response to eMail inquiries.

Not impressed so far.....

I've been ordering products from Gemini for a few months now, including Honeywell/Metrologic scanners. The batteries in two of our scanners died rather suddenly early last week and we realized that our product manager had neglected to order more. Gemini had the batteries on hand and delivered them to us ASAP--no muss, no fuss. Good prices, quick shipping. Can't complain!

I'm completely disappointed in this company -- I ordered 6 HID access control units ten days ago and am still waiting for them to come in -- I just got word (after calling them four times for follow up) that they will not ship for another week. This company might be good for ordering a DVD player -- but if you have any serious component that you require you should buy it somewhere else.

I purchased a quality SPECO CCTV camera from Gemini Computer In January 2014 (they apparently do not stock products and have them shipped from whom they buy from) and had a problem with the camera immediately and they refused to replace it under the warranty. They said they were emailing SPECO for advice what to do or return and they never emailed or called me back. I called Gemini and all "URI" the manager would do is email them again...He never followed up on anything. So I called SPECO myself and they said it was defective and to return it to Gemini Computers for refund or exchange that Gemini had to handle the return. Gemini never responded after several phone contacts with "URI" personally. It is now April 2014 and still no resolution.
There is also a language issue with URI and he seem to me to be a dishonest and incompetent seller just out for the sale only.... DO NOT BUY FROM GEMINI COMPUTERS!

Wanted to replace my flaky Intuit wireless barcode scanner. Joseph recommended to purchase the MK9535 which was the same model on my scanner but I was hesitant because of the $279 price tag, it almost $200 less than what Intuit wanted for the replacement. I am glad I did as it saved me a bundle and worked flawlessly. Thanks Joseph and Gemini.

I have never posted an bad review about any retailer in over 15+ years of buying online but GeminiComputers is just that bad.

Their prices are well below the average but that is and that is why I chose to give them a try. I ordered one (listed in stock) item on their website, immediately received an e-mail invoice stating that my order has been processed. I live just two states away and shipping is overnight for even ground packages so I expected the item in the next few days (I never expect for my items to be shipped the same day). I used their online tracking form and it kept giving me a "no such package found" error so I e-mailed them two days later just asking for an update on my order, no response, forwarded the e-mail to their sales e-mail, no response. Tried forwarding the same polite e-mail to every e-mail address that I could find, no response... hmm. So I finally sent a strongly worded e-mail to the original e-mail address warning that if I did not receive a response within 3 business days at 10am that I would have the charges refunded by my credit card company, file a complaint with both the Better Business Bureau and Yahoo (their shopping card processor). Here is the kicker... on the deadline, 30 minutes before the expiration, I receive an e-mail with a tracking number and even worse it looks like they had the item drop shipped from another source.

My complaint with GeminiComputers is not the fact that an item is listed in stock when it was not but the fact that they have zero customer service. No response to my e-mails at all. I just needed a simple "we are sorry but we do not have that item in stock, even though we said we did, and are willing to refund your money". I would have waited for the item to be restocked but no answer at all is just TERRIBLE customer service.

My warning is short and simple, DO NOT use this retailer since they will offer items for sale that they do not stock, you will be charged immediately, and you will not receive any customer support whatsoever. So you can take a gamble that they are stocking your item and that you will receive it in a timely manner.

I placed an order for Symantec Norton Antivirus Corporate 8.1 Small Business Edition 25-User on their web site.
The site indicated that the item was in stock and I later received an order confirmation.
Next, I received an order cancellation saying that the item was not in stock.
However, their web site still showed it as being in stock, at a higher price.
they wasted my valuable time and lied to me about the product being out of stock, just so they could raise the price.
I will not buy from this company again.

I found them to be the cheapest on the web and the service was superb, I had my order within 2 business days. Even when I had questions about the rebate they were quick to help me out. I will definetely shop there again !

After seeing my review geminicomputers.com contacted me and let me know the correct part was overnighted to me, I received it the next day. I am increasing their rating due to this fast response.

Original:

This has been one of the worst online buying experiences ever and that is saying a lot as I order almost everything online from toothpaste to equipment from my business. Mistakes happen in any company, but how a company deals with those mistakes tells a lot. I ordered a $1,600 home intercom system which they said they had in stock, and this was one of the reasons I ordered from Gemini, as opposed to another reputable or cheaper company. Out of 7 or so parts ordered only 2 came from New York, the other had to be shipped from Germany which took an extra week. One of the parts, which came from New York warehouse was mislabeled on the box and had a wrong part inside. This was the cheapest, albeit important part of the set, which cost around $40. After taking about 24 hours to get back to me, Gemini rep told me they had more parts in the warehouse, but it would take them a day to verify that the whole batch is not mislabeled. At this point I explained to him that this was an urgent project and I needed the $40 part ASAP. Nonetheless it took 2 days to confirm the whole batch was wrong, at this point the rep told me another will be mailed from germany. About a week later I get an email letting me know that in fact the part is being shipped to their warehouse and not to me, because I need to return the original/wrong $40 part first. In other words they are more concerned that I would steal a $40, useless plastic part, from a $1,600 order, that to ever earn my business again. I plan on returning everything to them and never, ever buy from this company again. I am just glad many other retailers seem to actually care about customer service, just not Gemini.

From our experience this can indicate that the business is either not actively engaged with online communication or is new and growing. We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
