Global Media Pro has maintained low price products with over 8,000 in stock items through thier e-store. I like that they are a family owned business and they adhere to a superior level of customer service. They are an all around great company.

GLOBAL MEDIA PRO works like a street vendor. When you buy something like I have you pay, its a good price you walk off and that's it. It is a gamble. You win once maybe twice. BUT then when you have a problem they do not know you. They avoid you. They ignore you. At least 10 emails , messages etc etc Nothing. They totally shut all communication. I just wasted more than $700 on a mistake they made. I am waiting for an answer. My hands are tied. They do not answer. For that reason good reviews when you buy and all ok And then Zero star if I could. Rather pay a bit more from a reputable shop. Globalmedia pro is not reliable or reputable. Never buy from Globalmedia Pro. Total gamble. Ref Order 9398771 of 5 March 2019

I have just purchased from this company for the third time. Never had any issues with Globalmediapro, like before the product is exactly what I ordered and was delivered within the delivery time I was told. Cheers for the great service guys.

I bought some equipment from these guys a couple of weeks ago and was definitely not disappointed by the price or by the service. Everything arrived in perfect condition and within the time frame promised. Definitely buying from these guys again, fast service tops of great prices.

Purchased a Sony FS700 videocamera from GMP, when the camera arrived it had approximately 10 dead pixels on the LCD. I contacted GMP and they said to take it to a service centre to receive a quote for repair.

When I supplied GMP with the quote, they said they will only cover the repair if the repair centre (which is Sony Australia) states 'manufactures fault' on the quote. Sony says they only do this if there is the possibility of a product recall, which in this case there is not. This unit simply failed.
Sony agreed that the 'product was faulty' (not due to customer use), and listed this in the quote notes.
GMP refuse to pay for the repair, on a camera that arrived with a faulty LCD. Numerous emails and they still won't accept that the warranty they supply isn't worth a cent.

The supplied camera invoice, hasn't a camera serial number, hence it is difficult to track where it was bought and shipped from. I have asked yet I get no reply. I have left feedback on GMP's website (which I was emailed and asked to do), which has disappeared. This is why unfortunately it has come to this forum.

Correspondence with GMP is poor, they won't answer direct questions, they simply copy and paste the same terms of their warranty in their emails, as I'm sure they will do again here.
Stonewalling.
I have had to pay for the repair myself, and will chase GMP through consumer affairs. BUYER BEWARE, GMP will not cover the warranty of a new camera that arrived faulty!

I purchased 3 x 160wh V-Mount batteries for my new (at the time) Red Epic in February 2016. The initial delay in shipping the batteries caused a bit of a headache when I was eager to get my camera up and rolling, but the savings looked good enough to justify the wait.

Everything arrived in good shape, but the issues started rolling in a few months later. The camera was powering down randomly when using one of the batteries. It would just cut power, shut down and wasn't able to boot up again unless the battery was removed from the camera and re-attached. But the camera would just turn off again minutes later. The other batteries were working fine. I suspected it was a faulty cell as this battery got very minimal use over the previous few months.

I reached out to GMP about the issue and they told me that the batteries were only meant to be used with the official RED v-mount adapter and that the issue was my fault. I asked how the battery could be repaired or replaced and they advised "the affected battery needs to be discarded. Please only use our batteries with the equipment we list as compatible." Of course, this is an idiotic response from them since I didn't buy 3 large batteries to only be used in one scenario: they were going to be used on steadicam sleds, monitors and battery belts, all by makers other than Red. V-mount batteries are not some proprietary technology that can only be used in one application. It sounded like more of an excuse for how they didn't need to provide any assistance toward their subpar products.

We're now a year later and a second battery has begun showing the same issues, leaving me with only 1 usable battery of the 3. At this point, I'm just waiting for the last one to fail. With no help from GMP, I'll be moving my power needs over to Blueshape. It's more expensive but their customer service is better and I feel more secure that my money is being well spent. With GlobalMediaPro, I essentially wasted over $1000 on defective batteries (after shipping and taxes on the shipment) that the company would not stand behind.

Full disclaimer, I know other people who have been using these batteries for years and have not had any issues. But when you're spending a few thousand dollars, you don't want to end up in a scenario where your batteries are failing while you're in the middle of a shoot and the company that makes them offers nothing in terms of customer service. GMP is not worth the risk or headache.

Purchased a Canon XH-1AS camcorder from GMP and it arrived, surprisingly, from Singapore and not from New Zealand after a few days. The usual Canon warranty cards, which are normally included were conveniently missing but the user manual was in the box. We only used the XH-1AS a couple of times then connected it to a PC with the camcorder switched off and PC on and zap....firewire gone.

Globalmediapro refused to honour Canon's 12 month factory warranty (for which we had no warranty cards) and claimed their own terms of trade conditions overrode the manufacturer's warranty and irrespective of what was written in the XH-1AS user manual, the damaged firewire port was not claimable because the PC was not switched off upon firewire connection. For Globalmediapro it was probably only an insurance claim, but they decided to alienate the customer instead. No further correspondence was entered into by us.

Firewire is like USB with design specifications from inventor and developer "Apple" allowing hot swappable. The camcorder manual allows this proceedure to occur.

Canon Aust/NZ advised us that, had the camcorder been purchased from authorised agents in Australia the repair was covered under warranty. Canon Aust/NZ would not cover the repair as this purchase was deemed a "grey import". They did however give us a discount on the labour costs and we now have a Canon Australia/NZ warranty. We will be reporting the matter to Canon Japan shortly. The repair still cost over AUS$1100 which of course we had to pay, plus inconvenience. We will never purchase from GMP again.

Further, we will not be removing this review either, as TRUTH IS NOT NEGOTIABLE and we will not be intimidated.

I am trying to recoup a transfer for more that US$ 7,000 which was sent with what they say "wrong reference" (fact is, the reference was WITH an explanation of product requested, which they say their system does not recognice). After 5 months and dozens of mails, I cannot recoup my money.

i bought a hdv recorder that has hardly worked in the 6 months i have owned it. beware buying from globalmediapro as the cost is often hundreds of dollars more expensive to get it through customs if you live in australia.

the playback on the recorder doesn't work. its been 6 months since i bought it and even though they say they give you a 12 month warranty they are refusing to fix it as i plugged the i-link into the computer while the computer was on. this has nothing to do with the playback function.

an update to this 100% truthful review that i wrote. i received this threat from globalmediapro that if i do not remove it they will be taking legal action for costs damaging their reputation against me. never mind my loss of income over the last 6months after being charged over $1500 for a recorder that has never worked properly. no wonder they are NOT an AUTHORISED sony dealer.

no faults were caused by the i-link. how you would guess at this from another country to absolve yourself of responsibility is completely unethical. i have not misused or damaged the equipment. it has been like this since the day i bought it but that doesn't suit you does it.

The item finally arrived today, over two weeks from date of order. It was in good condition.
I will say no more other than Globalmediapro, be more communicative and I think half your problems will go away.

They will get 100% 5 star reviews because when you order they do send you the item. BUT when you have a problem .NO BACK UP CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ANY FORM. Avoid them. Warning DO NOT BUY FROM GLOBAL MEDIA PRO AT ALL. I just wasted over $700 and since mentioning my problem they ignore me flat. Global media Pro is like a street vendor. Buy it with no warranty or guarantee at all. Global Media Pro proof me wrong. I am now busy contacting NZ consumer complaints , NZ embassy and maybe NZ police to help as Globalmedia pro ignores all messages and mails relating to the problem. I had a few previous orders and no problem. But do not expect any help from Globalmedia Pro. They are not helping

This summer we bought a bunch of video equipment for our company in Norway. The Norwegian bank (Nordea) processed the order very fast, and shipping was amazingly fast (faster than our German and American deliveries this year). The value of the package was around €10K.

Initially, 2 of our 6 batteries were defect from the third party, but GMP showed great service and processed and replaced the defect batteries very quickly and without any paperwork to speak of.

We are very happy with GMP, and look forward to the next time we deal with them.

I ordered a Yamaha PSR S750 from globalmediapro online and it was delivered exactly within the two weeks as mentioned on the website. The price of the item could not be matched by any others. I am very satisfied with it and I am extremely happy with the service I received from globalmediapro by way of fast despatch and delivery and communication. I will definitely make online purchases again with globalmediapro.

I hope that this note will find way to the right person, because I tried to reach the company in last few days many times.
I send more then 10 mails regarding the problem with Macedonia customs, during the import of Globalmediapro products. The company send the shipment without CE certificate and without original invoice, as I asked. Without that documents it is not possible to pass import procedure here in Macedonia. I plan to contact the Organization for customer rights....to find out how can I complain for their service. Of course I will try to aware other buyers to avoid this company, because of unprofessional service.
The shipment is still stuck in Macedonia import procedure because of the lack of Document.

I funded the store april the 27th for a Panasonic AG-AF100. I received the item bu DHL on the 3D of may in Belgium! Everything went perfect. I am delighted by the service and the camera as well!! I already own a Canon XH-A1S but this one is another world by the possibilities ( I have 11 Nikon lenses and, among them, the "3G ED" 14-24,24-70,70-200, and a 500mm/4 new one and a 24mm PC, new one also) It is really miraculous.
I formerly ordered a Canon XF-300 to renew my XH-A1S. But i had to cancel ( see my former comment) as the disposal was not evident. GMP counseled me to make up my mind again. So did I for my joy! I then studied the comment of Nigel Cooper ( DVuser: www.dvuser.co.uk, "Panasonic AG-AF101 HD Camcorder" ). This excellent pro had sent another comment abaout the coming soon Sony Nex. As the study for the Sony was bad, the one for the Pana. AG. was dithyrambic! Fully justified. The Pana is ready for your hand, every remark is just even if you must agree with the fact that it was a pre-serie model.
Thank you GMP. I'll recommend you and order again.

UPDATE for 4th Sept
Refund from GMP finally recieved!

I recieved phone calls and emails effectively holding my refund to ransom by asking me to remove this review.

Interestingly my account on the GMP system only notes the remaining credit of $564 being removed from my account on 3rd Sept...but surely it should have gone on 23rd Aug if they shipped as claimed?

Anyway thank you GMP for seeing reason, I'm now satisfied that business is concluded.

However, if you (Igor) contact me again to harras me I will be going to the media ('fair go' and 'Target' in NZ, 'A Current affair' & 'Today tonight' in AUS) as well as Consumer Affairs Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand and the NZ Police.

Thank you GMP, your products are sound and the prices are great.

---------------------
UPDATE for 2nd Sept
9:43am on Sunday morning I recieved a call from GMP, asking me to remove this factual account of my situation.

I told GMP the best way to improve the review was to proceed with a refund as required by law. (Remember my order was placed on 6th Aug)

I can see they have now posted several false statements, today's two false statements by GMP are;

GMP:"The Original Tripod was dispatched on the 24th" - False because when GMP ship their system sends you an email and tracking updates..this has not happened. Also GMP's email on 23rd Aug stated that the product was unavailable. Lastly if it were dispatched on the 24th, it should have arrived by 2nd Sept, Right?

GMP:"the rest of the order was dispatched within estimated time" - Another lie, see my previous comments.

I await my refund for product I do not have since 6th Aug.
---------------------------
1 Sept 2012
Extremely Bad experience! Under taking legal action, Globalmediapro still owe me $564!

On 6th Aug 2012 I placed an order for over $5000 of equipment Global Media Pro and transferred that cash the same day. The GMP website falsely claims "Australia Delivery 2-3 Days", all the items I ordered were claimed to be "In-stock".

In the end I recieved most of the stock 10days later.

EXCEPT the ~$500 tripod was not delivered, on the 23rd Aug I recieved an email from GMP stating that the tripod I ordered was not available "would I accept an alternative tripod?".

I needed to use the equipment I had purchased, it had been 17days and would be more if I had waitied for GMP. So I purchased a suitable tripod locally and advised GMP that since it had not shipped please to refund the value shown on the invoice they presented to me for undelivered tripod+shipping charges for said Tripod.

GMP then claimed they COULD NOT STOP DISPATCHED ORDERS (huh? but they just said its not shipped and I never agreed to accept an alternative).

After re-stating my position very clearly via email GMP have gone quiet, 5 days and the $564 refund has not been transferred my account.

GLOBAL MEDIA PRO STILL OWE ME $564
