Golf Breaks

The Salobre Resort is first class, two golf courses to play and multiple swimming pools to choose from. The dining experience has been improved since our last visit. The quality and choice of food is far better and the upgraded dining room has been tastefully done.This is a remote destination so don't expect much in the way of nightlife.

Have been coming to Penina now for the last 6 years with golf breaks and although each trip has been enjoyed by both of us.
I found out another couple who have booked through premier Iberian holidays have been upgraded twice now to better rooms or suites for their loyalty .
I did ask for an upgrade but was told it would have cost another 300 euros !!
So from 2020 we will be booking through premier Iberian .

Just arrived home from 3 nights and 3 rounds of golf at Vila Sol Portugal, not only was it a great deal, the hotel was first class also, we took up the option of semi all inclusive, which was very good, you can also upgrade the Meals on the evening to steaks , well worth the extra.
The Greens were in fantastic condition, better than we have played in the UK in the summer months, my only gripe was the Luke warm breakfast, still will forgive them that, for the service at the Hotel and the Clubhouse were excellent, would look to book later in the year again.

2020 was my second booking through Golfbreaks. My representative, Patrick Tarantino, was awesome. He was informative, patient, understanding and most of all professional at all times. He provided us with great course and hotel recommendations after he listened to what we wanted out of our trip. After the initial set up, we had to make 3 changes due to extenuating circumstances and this is where he shinned brightest. He worked with us step by step and ultimately set up an incredible trip for us. I would strongly recommend Patrick and Golfbreaks to anyone interested in golf travel. As a matter of fact, I am recommending a group of 8 to Patrick asap. In a time of mediocre customer service, it was a pleasure to work with a person who truly takes pride in his work and truly cares about the client. Well done Patrick!!!

We did Vila Sol break 3 nights/ 2 games weather was fantastic stayed at Pastana Vila Sol resort hotel, hotel superb and staff very friendly, played Pastana Alto and Vila Sol course's beautiful and challenging will definitely go back next year.

We did a 4 night / 3 games tour and can honestly say it was the best value for money trip we’ve ever been on .
3 fantastic courses , 5 star hotel / food and staff and transfers included.
We are definitely booking again.

5 nights' all inclusive at the Sirene Belek Hotel and 4 rounds of golf (2 on Pasha Course, 2 on PGA Sultan Course) for 16 ladies from Bourn Golf Club in Cambridge. FANTASTIC
Would have liked BBC on the TV (but the hotel have taken this comment on board) but everything else was amazing including the weather.

The golfing break you arranged for myself and my wife at Hotel Jardin Tecina in La Gomera was splendid and the organisation first class.

The holiday far exceeded our expectations in every way.

Like a previous review Golfbreaks cancelled a group golf holiday due to corona virus and informed us that they would issue a voucher for future use or we would have to wait until 31st July for a refund. They said they were acting on government and ABTA advice. This is not true ABTA advice is that refunds should be made as soon as reasonably practical even in the present circumstances. Total cost of the trip was over £35k!

ABTA don't advise companies to withhold payment from customers its your choice to do this. We will be making everyone aware of how you treat your customers. We have been booking golf trips for many years through you but this will be the last for me. I have had refunds for 2 other holidays from reputable companies with no problems other than having to wait a few weeks which is acceptable but to have to wait 3 months is not!!! and that assumes you don't come up with another excuse then.

After reading your response below I can assure you I do know what the credit note is and if as you say the majority of people have re-booked which I find hard to believe then why can't you refund the minority who want a refund within a reasonable time and not make them wait at least 3 months?? Some members of our group are now out of work due to the Virus and the £1700 that you refuse to refund for 3 months would help them out in difficult times.

Just back from a two night stop at St Mellion, absolutely fabulous, a bit wet as you would expect right now but two of the most spectacular courses I have ever had the pleasure to play. All staff were extremely helpful, particularly the 'On course' personnel, really friendly and very informative. Can't wait to go back.

He’d a great 3 days in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage. Very handy from the tunnel, but expect weather similar to UK. Hotel was fine for what we needed and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Only minus point was that we didn’t see an email regarding 3 long term temp greens at La Met. All in all a brilliant trip again. ????

We had 12 golfers/drinkers for a weeks golf in the sun.
We have stayed at the regnum for the past 5/6 years, but thought with all the reviews they have had saying it’s up there with the regnum we thought why not give it a go !
As much as we all tried to not compare the two , the differences were noticeable every day. From the food being the same every day , to the level of service from the waiters in the bars and restaurants I gave 4 stars which I think is very generous as for next year we will be gracing the regnum once again can’t fault Turkey for golf ????️‍♂️????️‍♂️

Just back from third long stay at Lauro Golf.27 hole course (3 loops of 9 holes) was in good condition and staff in the pro shop,the marshalls, and bar/restaurant were superb.Apartment was excellent too.Electric trolleys 15 euro each per day,buggy 35 euros per day.
We will be returning.
Couple of tips....Walking is better and quicker than a buggy because the buggy needs to stay on the path.Book tee times to avoid the large field competitions on a tuesday and thursday as they can be slow.Expect hassle at the Malaga airport car rentals over excess insurance policy purchase.Taxi to Lauro from airport is 30 euros.Best supermarket we found was Lidl on A404 9km from Lauro in Alheurin del Torre on route to airport.

Just back from 4 days in Palma de Mallorca, our 2nd time using Golfbreaks (last time Sept 2019 in Faro) and everything was grand.
We arrived early to the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel, room wasn't ready, so we had breakfast while we waited. Hotel staff upgraded us to a Junior Suite, much appreciated. First golf course, Son Vida, right beside the hotel: a lovely Scottish caddy master, Callum, got us organised & we set out just the 2 of us in the 18° sunshine. Amazing to be just by ourselves! Beautiful greens, a bit of work being done overall, so sandy trenches where pipes have been laid. Second golf course, next day: Son Quint, the pits! Hassle to actually get into the shuttle to get there on time for our tee-time, because of a particularly obstinate German group. Only the fairways & greens are green, the rest is dried out. Staff not so helpful either: admittedly they were overrun by numerous groups of Germans, all wishing to practise, then play at the same time. They doubled booked our tee time, with no apologies nor free drinks to keep us happy. I wouldn't play there again. Fortunately our third golf course, Son Muntaner was fab! Indeed everything was from the helpful Spanish caddy master, the sweet elderly German couple in our foursome, lovely 20° sunshine, a well maintained course...
The Sheraton Arabella's indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna were much appreciated after the day's golf. And the MD at the hotel's restaurant, La Bodega del Green, was amazing too: we hadn't booked a table and despite being overrun with large German groups, he still managed to find us a table for 2! The tapas were pretty delish, but at hotel prices. Downtown Palma was more fun for tapas: La Bodeguilla & El Camino were the ones we tried!

Excellent four nights at the Tivoli Marina Portimao. Lovely rooms near to the restaurant and reception. Warning though it is a tough walk to the main strip of bars up 97 steps. Taxi is 3-4 euros. Golf at Gramacho, Silves and O'Conner courses were great. However we tee'd off behind a pro-am at the O'Conner and had a 5 hour + round but we were warned on arrival. Bravo Tur transfers excellent as usual. Thankyou Golfbreaks.

The main problem with using Golf Breaks.com was that we are not a group. My husband received a Golf Breaks.com voucher for £100.00 for Christmas 2018 not realizing that Golf Breaks.com deal in the main with groups and though I have told them at least 3 times that we are not a group they don't seem to listen. We did not need a golf break arranging, we are quite capable of booking our own tee times to suit and indeed if we had this time we would have found out that Shendish Manor do not have buggies on their course until March, a very important point in our case. Will I use them again - there is no need, and no.

We have just returned from 3 days golf in La Cala, Spain. We were a party of 4 and this is the 5th or 6th time we have used Golfbreaks. As ever the trip was well organised and everything went to plan, from booking to end delivery. We played each of the 3 courses. Each is challenging in different ways but most enjoyable. You do not need to be a single figure handicap to enjoy these courses. The hotel was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the town one evening to add variety. We were also lucky to have 3 days of excellent weather. great hotel, great courses, great staff, and great time. We would return and highly recommend this resort.

2nd year booked our break with Golfbreaks. Can highly recommend them. For both years, my conversations with the staff, and there’s been 3 or 4 of them,have been absolutely excellent. Nothing is to much trouble and they are extremely helpful. Our trip went without any problems. Coach on time at both the Airport and the Hotel, again with friendly and helpful driver. The hotel was exactly as they said and the information regarding the golf, supplied prior to leaving, was spot on.
All in all a great experience. I can say that not one and there are some old sticklers and moaners, of them had anything negative to say about anything.
So thanks Golfbreaks for all your efforts. We have only been back 1day and l already have people asking to look for something for next year. Cheers

As usual Telford golf and country club delivered course very very wet but open we decided not to play day 2 but the staff in the pro shop where fantastic and offered vouchers to come back and play golf bar staff and restaurant star very welcoming and friendly the rooms have been refurbished very nice and the spa is so relaxing and spa staff so nice loved it

Just returned from a weeks golfing at Almerimar, Spain. All very well organised by Golfbreaks. Hotel was excellent and the different combinations of the three 9 hole golf courses over the six rounds that we played was every thing we wanted on our golfing week.
The food and service are always top class at the Hotel Golf Almerimar, as are the large clean rooms. The view of the snow on the mountains in the distance make this a very attractive resort in February and March to escape the English winter and with the weather around 18 degrees every day the sunshine and blue skies were very welcome.
