Goodnature.co.nz Review
We want to see New Zealand’s critically endangered species flourish again This means getting on top of a bunch of pests rats stoats possums and mice for starters That’s why we develop pest traps that reset themselves are toxin free and humane which can be used in living spaces through to wild places

I put the trap where I saw he had been gnawing at an electrical junction box and I got him within an hour so very pleased, however nothing else since so he must have been a loner(expensive rat $199 lol)
However I will take it down and use it outside and do my bit for conservation.

The digital counters are really useful, and have allowed me to keep up to date trapping records. I have not encountered any mechanical failures so far, and some of my traps have been in the outdoors for over three years. In saying that, one or two of the digital counters have given false readings, but this is a minor issue.
The ALP system works reasonably well, although I don't agree that each unit will last up to six months. I would suggest that they are good for up to three months. In humid conditions, the lure can get a bit moldy, although this is easily scraped off. One downside of the ALP lures is that they have to be sent to landfill once they're empty. I have an idea I would like to discuss with GoodNature that involves a refillable lure - no waste at all.
I've found the CO2 canisters have performed well (some still have plenty of gas after six months); however, I have been mostly using other brands of CO2 canisters, largely because of the cost. $7.50 is quite a lot to pay for a canister sold by GoodNature, and I fear that the price may put some people off from getting new ones. There is no difference in performance from a canister purchased from a bike shop for around $5 and a GN canister.
Overall, I would strongly recommend GN traps for people trapping on a small-scale (<50 hectares). The traps are easy to install and operate, and are hard-wearing. The digital counters make it all the more rewarding when you check the number of hits.

Brilliant invention.
If I have a niggle it's that there isn't enough room under the trap in a stand for the corpse to fall out and would prevent a second 'victim' getting in. The stand traps need checking daily.
