Excellent service, keen price and hoping to get my deposit refunded speedily!

They charge me for bit of scratch on the door corner but I was picking up car in night time so the is no way I can find it out

I would not have to call for a pick up. For the call I need to connect

However, when i got a parking fine from parking eye at the Moxy hotel nearby for being in the car park for 16 minutes while dropping off a colleague, i found green motions policy of charging me £80 STG for administration of the fine, excessive to say the least. I tried to explain that i was challenging the fine because i did not exceed the 20 min grace period as described by the hotel manager on tripadvisor, and therefore if my challenge was successful and i was found "not guilty" then surely the admin charge could not be charged. Green motion still insisted on charging my card £80 STG. When Parking eye subsequently upheld my challenge and didn't fine me, Green motion decided that they would refund me and whilst this was appreciated, i still ended up €9 euros out of pocket because of the exchange rate fluctuations, bank charges etc. In conclusion, i would say that the experience leaves a bitter taste to the extent that i will now look at other car hire companies before i use Green motion again.

The bottom line is that I booked far in advance a package deal for flight, hotel and car rental to Ft. Lauderdale for period 2/18-2/26 of this year from a major online travel agency.
The price of the compact car as part of package was $224, which was way below what other agencies were charging which was for the most part in $380-$400 range.
The agent of the company picked me up at the airport with the car which i was supposed to rent.
It was a full sized car as opposed to the economy or compact one I had requested.
The man brought me to rental office which was a few miles from airport.
This is a tiny rental office and I did not see any other rental cars.
I was told that this rental agency is out of Great Britain and that they have a number of offices scattered around the country.
To cut to the chase, the agent look over the reservation and then said "I am sorry but I am going to have to charge you an additional $20 a day because you are over 70(I am 75).
I asked him to show me in writing that this is company policy, and he was unable to do so.
I told him that what he was doing was a breach of contract, and that if I paid the extra money($160), I would report it to both the booking agency and contest charge on credit card.
At that point he said he would not rent me the car in any event.
I asked him to bring me back to main car rental terminal so that I could rent from someone else.
Since it was the day of trip, I found that car rentals were very expensive and even more than the $384 I would have paid at Green Motion.
The least expensive was $480 which I accepted.
The next day I reported the incident to booking agent as my credit card had already been charged the $224 as part of the package.
I asked for a refund as obviously I didn't want to pay TWO car rentals.
I was told to wait for ten days.
Today I was told that Green Motion had refunded the $224 and to look for the credit on my credit card in a few days.
I don't think there is anything more to say other than to say that two of other car rental agencies I checked with before renting a car told me that they had heard of similar deceptions with Green Motion.

These guys feel the need to be charging my credit card in May 2020 7 months after the original transaction in December 2019 for no reason at all. "7 MONTHS"!!!! I get corona has hit hard but no need to steal from your customers, this is unacceptable!
