Great price for a car Car well maintained did not like trying to add things I did not need like and extra 68 dollars for tolls which would have never used glad I have driven in
Florida before

I'm from the uk and rented from green motion while we were on holiday in Florida thru skyscanner.
Everything went smoothly and great customer service except the gas was supposed to be full to full but it was on 1/4 which I pointed out and they said that's fine just return the same. So make sure you take a photo of the gas gauge when you collect.

I was previously booked to pick up a car with their Miami International Airport branch. Due to weather and tornado warnings the ENTIRE airport was shut down for 30 minutes which as you can imagine wrecks havoc on all functionality within said airport. As a result I made it to the rental car place at 11:15pm instead of my previous time of 9:00, and to my surprise the rental place was already closed (at 11pm while everywhere else was open 24 hours) leaving me stranded. I attempted to call and when I got a hold of someone I was told I could come get my car the next day at 7:00. Basically go book a hotel and come back because we can't help you.

However on their terms and conditions they say in the event of such emergency and if the flight number is provided (which it was) every effort would be attempt to contact the customer (there was zero effort).

I attempted to call the next day to rectify the situation, and they said they can hold the car for me for 24 hours, which doesn't help a day later at 80 miles from the airport. I ended up renting a car from another place which was open.

They also have a formal complaint process in writing on their website which they send you to, so they are not strangers to the problems... fair warning to all!

From the website/ T&Cs:
"At an airport location, if a customer experiences flight delays (and a valid flight number is provided) then the out of hours' time will apply from intended arrival time, within office hours. However, if the delay is in excess of midnight then the location may close without notice."

"If a valid flight number or valid telephone number is provided, the location will make every effort to contact the customer prior to allocating the vehicle to another reservation."

2 months later and I still don't have a response from the company, so Im disputing the issue with my cc company and BBB.

If I could give it zero I would. If you want your family killed due to renting a dangerously defective car then these guys in Orlando are who you want. The number they provide for contact - no one ever answers (try it before you rent to check it out)

I had a defective car given to me. The brakes failed and my family were almost killed on an intersection. I have videos and a garage report of the car. As the contact number is never answered I had to return to the sales desk. The supervisor offered my a tank of gas as compensation!!! Mr Christian Hernandez the franchise owner then said he would put it right. However, after replacing the vehicle, he never delivered on the promised email stating how he would compensate me (within 24hrs - 15 days later still waiting), did not answer his phone or respond to voicemail/text messages. Probably hoping it will go away as we are tourists. However, my friend is based in Texas and was waiting to see how I was treated before he takes legal action (his 12 year old twins were passengers in the car and suffered injuries and trauma). I would suggest you avoid this company like the plague.

There has recently been a UK TV show on this company highlighting shady practices and deceitful sales activities. You have been warned.

Great service, not so great the extras that you charge, and the return of the deposit after 10 days not return, still on pending

I hired a Greenmotion rental car through Opodo one month prior to our holiday in Orlando. The cost of the rental was very competitive compared to other similar rentals. Our flight arrived at Orlando airport earlier than expected. We located the pickup point for the shuttle to take us to the Greenmotion off airport office. The shuttle arrive about 15 minutes later, unfortunately the driver told us that it was pointless going to the office as there were no cars available. I insisted that he did take us as I wanted to sort out the issue with manager. We arrived at the Greenmotion rental office at around 14:15 only to find that there was no staff in the office and all of the lights were off but the door was open. I eventually found a female member of staff outside in the parking area. She told me that there were no cars left and I was to contact the booking agent for a refund. She was very rude and unhelpful stating that I should take the shuttle back to the airport as there was nothing she could do. There were several other customers in the same position as we were. Once back at the airport it cost me three times the original cost to hire a car at one of the hire desks. When I attempted to claim refund on the original hire through Opodo, Greenmotion told them that I was late in picking up the hire car and marked me as a no show. They refused to issue a refund. COMPLETE LIES, MY RENTAL AGREEMENT HAD A PICKUP TIME OF 15:00 I TRIED TO PICK THE CAR UP AT 14:15. ITS ONE THING HAVING NO CARS LEFT BUT THEN TO REFUSE TO REFUND ME ITS UNBELIEVABLE.
After raising this case with Greenmotion case escalation. They have investigated my claim properly and agreed to compensate me for the difference between my original rental and what I paid for the replacement rental. This demonstrates that when you right it’s worth escalating your claim even when they reject it at first
