I thought the Guild Tour was an excellent event. It was my first one and it was really insightful and extremely motivating....I just wish I could apply everything I learned to my daily job but unfortunately I don't have time! Therefore I will pick a few things and focus on those. It was a really good group of people and I'm looking forward to the next event!

Morning session excellent- afternoon was worthwhile content but I felt the “ presentation “ was not as good and it was hard to maintain concentration.

We were only able to attend up to1.30 pm , however the morning was very informative and it was good to feel improvements made did not attract an additional fee !

4 stars because important speaker was absent ( Paul ) .

Good information in the morning however, I felt the afternoon spend too much time on Social media content. I'm not big on social media, so feel this is more my problem than yours!
Feel more could be done to get the agents together more to share best practice or what is working in their field. I'd love to spend more time speaking to other agents and building relationships with other like-minded agents
Promote like minded agents based on areas/number of offices/Average sale price etc

I found all aspects of the day enjoyable and informative. It was well planned and the venue was excellent.
The tour of the stadium just added to the day.

The venue was excellent the conference content was exceptional but Ant Middleton took the conference to another level this year ! Just keeps getting better and better

Once again i felt the day was informative and forward thinking, preparing members for the period ahead. The inclusion of Lord Best & James Munro was critical and a smart move, information shared was reassuring and necessary. Ant Middleton was an honest and inspiring choice, i am sure that he struck a chord with everyone in the room.

The Guild team once again excelled in organising and hosting the day, full credit to everyone involved for the huge amount of preparation and delivery on the day. I did appreciate the input from the portals, disappointed that Rightmove did not turn up for the original reason but their insights were informative and gave food for thought. ZPG on the other hand were in tune and they too provided welcome information. All in all a good investment of our time.

Lead Pro looks like a product we should all benefit from and the revelation of the reapit deal could be game changing for the entire membership should it be adopted by the majority over time. Well done.

Also a thank you to Yomdel for kindly sponsoring the after party with a generous bar, that was genuinely appreciated.

I felt the general content this year was not as good as previous years. The speakers were generally delivered as 'sales pitches' for the respective companies. Ant Middleton was brilliant but it was a shame all the award winners weren't able to have a photo with him.

Miles & Bird are new members joining in April 2019 and this was our first Guild conference. A superb organisation led from the top by Ian McKenzie, supported by talented individuals working collectively for the cause of Independent Agency practice. Keep up the good work and thank you.

An informative and enjoyable day, especially Ian's advice in the afternoon with some clever and unique ideas for valuations that I believe could give you an edge, and which I am now eager to implement myself. I would definitely recommend. A nice venue and day out of the office too!

I thought the venue and layout of the room was poorer than last year, and generally the speakers were not really that relevant.

Having made the 600 mile round trip to London, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed by the Guilds Annual Conference.

I was impressed with the location but for me, sat in the ‘wings’, it was at times difficult to hear everything, the compare seemed rather incompetent using the microphone and I did not appreciate him referring to it as a ‘rude object’ – just childish!! Due to poor seating arrangements, we couldn’t see much of what was going on. The ‘Watkins versus’ whoever interludes were cringeworthy, a compare who kept interrupting speakers, what is the point, he thought he was funny – he was not! Ian should have done it, it would have saved money and been a lot better.

The New Homes delivery started off well and seemed refreshing, however, the lack of ‘transparency’ was disappointing when it came to the question about fees.

The afternoon was certainly an improvement.

I thoroughly enjoyed Gavin Hastings speech and felt inspired. I always appreciate Paul Offley’s delivery of what is a dull yet extremely important subject. Anthony Codlings session was extremely informative, I will be emailing him to ask for the slides – very useful.

It’s a thank you but please try harder next time from me.

Overall our group of four were underwhelmed by the conference having travelled a long way and taken a valuable two days’ out to attend.
The Guild is a great network of professionals and we are appreciative of the value of Ian, Dan and the teams’ progressive approach and nouse to provide us with the tools to help stay ahead in this competitive business. For me, however, the conference was not reflective of this standing.
Mr Watkin was a poor and inappropriate compere whose scruffy unprofessional approach put obstacles in the way of proceedings. By lunch I was irritated by the lack of substance, Watkin V farce and vagueness of fee transparency in the New Homes presentation.
The afternoon was an improvement. Thoroughly enjoyed Gavin Hastings, appreciated Paul Offley knowing his stuff and Anthony Codling’s insight.
Liked the venue and lunch although room didn’t work well if in the ‘wings’ and a bit of a palaver to find once inside. .... Time away with colleagues was constructive but not sure we will return next year.

A day filled with useful information and a great opportunity to learn from other Guild agents - what works for them, what doesn't and what the future may hold. Ian has gathered a great team together who have build a wealth of great resources on the Hub for member agents. I could quite happily recommend the Guild to any respectable Estate Agency.

I felt the morning session of the conference was disappointing. Some of the speakers didn't look interested in being there and the Q&A sessions were a bit of a farce. It would have been good if the questions were allowed to be answered. It would have been a good idea if the answering party had an attached microphone rather than hand held as there were times when parts of their answer couldn't be heard. I felt some of the presentations sounded quite condescending, not necessarily what was said but the way in which it was said. Being my first first conference I had come with expectations after hearing about previous years and workshops etc but sadly it was not the case this year. The afternoon session was more inspiring, motivational and informative. I felt the awards presentation was not particularly good and those that won perhaps didn't receive the accolade they were due as it all seemed a bit haphazard.
