We travelled to Vietnam in March, and were extremely lucky that we managed to complete our itinerary in full and get home safely and on schedule as things were changing quickly all around the world due to cornovirus. We actually had a fantastic holiday, travelling from north to south (Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Hue, Saigon, Meking Delta cruise, Mui Ne). Holiday Architects were able to offer us the light touch experience we wanted as we had previously visited the country under our own steam so didn't require too much nannying! Absolutely everything went seamlessly with our transfers and trips and all our guides and drivers were lovely and we had great chats with them on our journeys.
As the corona situation was developing and changing quickly, we had regular contact and advice from Head Office. We were offered the opportunity to come home early if we wanted to but decided to complete our holiday as we only had a few days to go and were not in a populous area.
I'd like to thank Sophie and everyone from Holiday Architects for a fantastic holiday, and for their professionalism in these strange times. I do wish this small company well in the coming months and would not hesitate to recommend them.

From the minute we got in touch regarding our first enquiries about planning a family holiday to Costa Rica with Holiday Architects, we felt incredibly well look after and very well advised.
We communicated mainly with Dawn and she was consistently available, helpful, knowledgable and passionate about enabling us to crystallise our plans.
Over the Christmas period we travelled to Costa Rica. We spent time in three different areas and it was the most fantastic family holiday we have ever been on. Everything that was booked via Dawn was fantastic, from the accommodation, to the transfers, to the specialist tours, making the whole experience unforgettable.
We would not hesitate to go back to Holiday Architects again, for reassurance, top notch expert advice and stress free planning.

Been creating with the help from Helen at holiday architects the perfect holiday to Canada for my wife’s 70th birthday surprise for over a year, in which Helen has gone far beyond to make a perfect packet, as being elderly where not being rushed around so it’s a stroll not a gallop.
Now the world in the grip of COVID19 Helen was able without fuss able to defer our holiday for a year, now the wife knows and is thankful for Helen’s hard work and is looking forward to next year.

Helen our consultant put together a package for a 3 week trip to New Zealand that was appropriate for a wheelchair user. She thoroughly checked our requirements and made appropriate bookings. She was also very proactive, identifying times when there were other activities at our destinations (e.g. Metallica concert, marathon race etc.) that would affect availability. She then helped us to re-sequence the trip to avoid these events. Overall a very positive experience and all arrangements went to plan.

We've travelled to South Africa twice in the last three years, both times with the help of Holiday Architects. It is fair to say we will remember both trips for the rest of our lives. In no small part this is because of the simplicity, ease and expertise which Holiday Architects brought to the trip - so all we had to do was turn up.

Holiday Architects make it easy for you. During the planning they patiently listen, discuss and advise as you consider and tinker with the plan; with the time taken designed simply to get to a great outcome.

And when you get to South Africa it is all easy, even for a 4 centre trip.

I'm happy to recommend Holiday Architects and I'm sure I will use them again in the future.

I don't usually write reviews but felt i needed to let everyone know what a great job Holiday Architects did on our recent trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. Fenton was never pushy and so knowledgeable on the areas to visit, together with the amount of time needed in each area to gain the best experience. He also gave us a varied choice of hotels to pick from in each location without steering us towards the most expensive as some tour operator do.
After lots of phone conversations and emailed correspondence we had a perfect trip organised and planned to the last detail, Only to be thwarted by the corona virus the day we landed in Cambodia.
However, with the help of Sophie and Fenton, they quickly reorganised our whole schedule to remain in Cambodia and to have exactly the same first class experience. Even though this was carried out "last minute" we never felt we were pressured to accept any hotel and they surpassed themselves in choosing hotels we loved.
We were kept informed on a daily basis on the ongoing situation and even when our trip was curtailed due to FOC advise they quickly re-scheduled flights to ensure we returned home safely.
This is the second time we have used holiday Architects and I would have no hesitation in recommending Fenton and Sophie to organise any of our future travels and wish all at Holiday architects all the best for the future.

We travelled to Jordan for a seven day holiday on 9th March 2020. The circumstances were extraordinary due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, so Catherine Daly and her Jordan team were tested to the maximum. We had a great time, feeling really looked after by our local driver, and, in spite of the emergency, all the arrangements worked really well, with hotels and tourist sites open and welcoming. The planning was faultless and even took into account extraordinary rain and wind storms - pretty spectacular in the desert and tricky to drive through although our driver managed it all safely. So I really recommend the services of Holiday Architects. They have great contacts on the ground and superb organisational abilities. I hope to use their services again if we are ever allowed out!

Morocco holiday September 2019
A new place for us, Emma was really helpful guiding us through an itinerary that gave us an opportunity to sample the culture and sights of this country. We visited Marrakech, foothills of the Atlas Mountains and Essaouira over a 10 day period. The accommodation recommended was excellent in great locations for exploring the area and the cities. In Marrakech and Essaouira we stayed in small raids in the heart of the old town in amongst all the busy day to day activity. Real insight into a different culture. The transfers worked well and all our drivers spoke good English and happy to chat about their country and their daily lives. It was a very easy holiday, and we loved it. Thank you

Working with Louise to plan our trip to Chile was a pleasure, her knowledge and enthusiasm made the trip planning a breeze. Having just returned albeit our time cut short due to Covid-19, the trip was everything we hoped it would be. A great choice of properties, we saw a lot and the team on the ground looked after us well. Special thanks to Louise for being so proactive when Chile announced they we closing the borders. She was in touch personally with us and thanks to her quick action we were able to get on a new flight the same day. Thank you for a great trip!

The team at Holiday Architects were fantastic in planning our trip to Southern India. We had used them before on our trip to South Africa and so had our fingers crossed that they would do a great job once again - and they did.
Everything was arranged beautifully and worked perfectly and when you are dealing the often chaotic India, this was amazing.
We also appreciated that they gave us alternative hotels and ideas when we were in the planning phase, so we never felt we were on a pre-packaged tour.
We would highly recommend Holiday Architects as a brilliant travel organisation.

Fenton organised an amazing tour of Vietnam for us, having no idea of where to start Fenton was extremely knowledgeable about the country and asked our likes and dislikes in order to arrange an itinerary suited to us. This was not set in stone and we could add/change or move things around until it was just right. Everything ran like clockwork, from the tour guides and drivers who were all professional and helpful to all the trips, we especially enjoyed the Street Food Tour on a vintage Vespa, what a fun experience, especially on the roads of Hanoi, which you have to see to believe! All our hotels were amazing and the customer service was second to none. Fenton kept us informed even while we were away of any changes, for example one of the hotels gave us a free meal as the spa refurbishment wasn't finished, which suited us.
We had a brilliant holiday and we will definitely book with Holiday Architects again, this is customer service at its best!
Absolutely LOVED IT!

Fabulous Indian holiday arranged by Eliza of Holiday Architects, Cheltenham, starting in Delhi, travelling by train to Rajasthan, seeing tigers on New Year's day. On to Jaipur, for the Amber Fort, batik printing session accompanied by guide Sunita.
On to Agra, stopping off to see the amazing step well Chand Baori.
Breathtaking Taj Mahal even more beautiful than I ever imagined.
Baby Taj & Red Fort.
Sometimes staying in smaller "guest houses" with charming hosts, comfortable accommodation with fabulous food.
Thank you Eliza for expertly ticking off my "to do list".

As a single person wanting to visit Canada I contacted Holiday Architects and dealt with Helen Richards. From day 1 Helen has been brilliant arranging exactly what I wanted. When I called, ALL staff were friendly and helpful. Helen checked up with me just before my holiday and even contacted me on my return asking how it all went. Flights, Transfers, Day outings and Hotels were all amazing and having been their herself gave me some useful tips. One word to some up the whole experience AMAZING. I will certainly use this company again and will happily recommend to others.

Fenton organised a wonderful honeymoon for my wife and I to Vietnam. He was always very quick to reply and his emails were always helpful and cheerful, despite the barrage of questions I had for him. Everything with the trip ran like clockwork and it had clearly been very well organised. Holiday Architects' people "on the ground" in Vietnam were also excellent. Attentive, friendly and informative guides and careful drivers were with us for the whole trip. I'd certainly use holiday architects again and I would certainly recommend them to anyone. We have recently returned back from an amazing two week trip to Sri Lanka booked with Rebecca Dodds from Holiday Architects. Rebecca was great in that she tailored our holiday around our interests, our time and our budget. We felt that we made the most of the time we had in Sri Lanka without feeling like we were on a tight schedule; we had the time to really get to know the places we visited and returned feeling rested. The driver we were allocated was incredible; he made the holiday for us. Together, the home team and the driver, were knowledgeable and keen to ensure that they personalised the experience for us. I have already recommended Holiday Architects and will do so again.

Emma organised our holiday to South Africa with great professionalism and her intimate knowledge of that country and its many tourist attractions showed through in all the arrangements she made. We had a wonderful time visiting Cape Town, Franschoek and the Garden Route, and the Amakhala Game Reserve proved an exciting end to the holiday with lots of wildlife on show.
Emma's interest in us didn't stop when we went on holiday : the end of our holiday almost coincided with South Africa closing its borders to visitors To ensure we weren't delayed at Jo'burg airport by crowds of passengers trying to get on to the last remaining scheduled flights home, of their own volition Holiday Architects arranged for us to have a VIP meet and greet service get us through the airport and the passport and security checks without any delay.
Exceptional service from beginning right through to the end. Thanks Emma, you gave us a very memorable holiday.

Like others our trip has been impacted by COVID-19 but I only have praise for the team at Holiday Architects (led by Megan). In an extremely challenging time for the industry, they have worked diligently, sympathetically and professionally with their agents in Costa Rica, and British Airways, to re-schedule our holiday accommodating our needs. They have dealt promptly with all our queries, demonstrating great patience as they successfully re-built a complex schedule. Many thanks to Megan and the team. David

Recently returned from a superb holiday in Oman. Holiday Architects were excellent with special thanks to Emma and Catherine who were brilliant. Everything ran like clockwork and the tour agents on the ground in Oman, Elite, were superb.

As a location, Oman is excellent and thoroughly recommended.. It felt (and is) very safe and the people are very friendly and hugely welcoming. The development in Oman over the last few decades is astounding as the country builds for its future - a brand new airport, roads, museums, opera house... I could go on.

Our visit took in 4 locations - Muscat, the mountains of Jebel Akhdar, the Wahiba Sands Desert and Sur. All are thoroughly recommended. Do a self drive - the driving is straightforward and the roads all good. English is widely spoken and everyone very helpful. Outside Muscat you get more of a feel of the real Oman and the top tourist spots are still relatively undeveloped (e.g. Wadi Shab - which is a must and well worth the walk. Take a swimming costume) Just go before too many people hear about it and it gets taken over by tourists.

Paris Soo was excellent in making suggestions and tailoring our holiday to Vietnam to fit in with some specific things we wished to do.
Now we have been stopped from going due to the Covid 19 crisis everyone at the company has been extremely helpful in trying to ensure our trip can go ahead sometime in the future and that we do not suffer financially.
A first class approach to customer care.

We recently returned from an amazing 18 day trip to Oman arranged by Catherine. We stayed at 4 different locations, city centre Muscat, Nizwa, Jabal Akhbar and then back to the coast at Muscat. All of the transfers went witout a hitch and the drivers and guides were excellent; knowledgeable, enthusiastic and all with excellent English.
Thank you to Catherine for her advice, prompt replies to emails and for arranging a fabulous holiday. On our experience we would have no hesitation in recommending Holiday Architects.
