I have 3 property's I have cover with…
I have 3 property's I have cover with hometree.I have called them out 3 times and had trouble ..1st was for my gas check the man kept asking me how i have these property's and I should cancel cover and go directly through him ...2nd callout toilet would not flush,plumber came out then left didn't know why ..luckily the company who were doing job left me there number I asked them why they left they said we would have to remove tiles and need authorisation from hometree but they could never get in contact with them ..10 days later after 40 or 50 calls to hometree 1 lady was helpful and they sorted it ....today I rang the company I have water pouring out under my sink ..they said Monday at 1st in 2 days time,I said its going to wreck my home she said we will try for today..I then got a call off a company saying we are sorry we do not cover your area we tried calling hometree..no reply..I rang hometree took ages and they said we are sorry we are closed weekends they will call you back 24 hours ...I had to get a plumber £185 just now ...what a JOKE...UPDATE.Just had head office of hometree asking about my review I told her your plumber had still not been,she said I can understand how frustrated you've been we really do apologise,I said I've cancelled all my direct debits she then sent an email you owe us £90 for cancelling thankyou

Awful - Avoid!
Booked a call out Thursday by Friday still no confirmed date. I decided to investigate myself and pulled up my living room floor. Under the house is swimming with sewage and all electrical cables are under water. Hometree didn’t even send someone till the next day then I was told the house is unsafe, poisoning fumes, no water, no electricity, no where to live and hometree says they may be able to get someone out later next week. Ignore all the vulnerability stuff and emergency response it’s not true. We had no water or electricity yesterday and slept with poison fumes all cause they were busy. Hometree I have got drains, plumbing and electricity insurance with you. Please sort it out.

Update- Saturday evening Hometree told me I’m not covered and can’t help even though I am covered!

Called Hometree on 24th Nov for boiler repair engineer booked for the 26th Nov ( this is supposed to be a 24 hour service ) waited 5 hours on 26th and they never showed up, we got boiler working ourseles but this did not last.
Rang them again 3rd Dec engineer booked for the 6th Dec which was FOC because of the no show, waited again for 5 hours for them to not show up, called them on 6th Dec ( every time you ring them it takes at least 30 mins for them to answer ) Could not get an appointment booked kept ringing them and Hometree operator gave me one of thier contractors number ( so now i am doing thier job ) rang Preffered Plumbing twice once for 30 mins and second for nearly an hour ( no answer ) rang Hometree back and explained that i could not get through to contractor Chris the Hometree operator said he would sort out and put me on hold, he came back on line and said he had sorted and transferred my call, guess who to the same company i had just got nowhere with getting them to answer phone ( my blood is now starting to boil ) I rang Hometree again and got a different operator i asked to talk to Chris he told me Chris was on another call and he would help me, I told him that i was not happy doing thier job and he agreed that i should not be calling contractors this was at 2.30 on 7th Dec he told me he would ring and get back in touch, i said good luck with that he rang me back at 6.30 and said Preffered Plumbing would contact me they did so the next day ( another wasted day ) Preferred Plumbing rang me and said they would try and get a local plumber out to me ( we now have a 3rd supply chain ) they never got back in touch that day ( another wasted day ) they said they had found a local plumber and that he would contact me and he did and came out and fixed problemon 10th Dec.
If Hometree had come out to do repair on 1st appointment date of 26th Nov this would have been resolved then as no parts were required.
If you are a Landlord AVOID this company at all costs.
I have cancelled my contract could not go through another saga with these clowns.

If you'd like your boiler affectively sabotaged with poor service, want terrible value for money and to be victim of a company with inherently low operating standards -then look no further. Each time any Hometree engineer served our appliance, -they damaged or compromised the boiler. For example, a simple service for an otherwise perfectly working boiler ended in no hot water (we had fix that ourselves). When the boiler had a leak a year later which needed a simple part replacing - the attending engineer suggested we source the part ourselves outrageously, despite our insurance contract with Hometree that should cover such parts. Yet when the part was replaced, before leaving our home the engineer put a ridiculously high level of pressure in an older boiler that guaranteed it would then break elsewhere. Now Hometree have denied all accountability and responsibility (rather consistent perhaps with their irresponsible service throughout) and we are left finding the cost for a whole new boiler. Each time a Hometree engineer leaves a report, it is completely false and contradictory (as one example, all the engineers have left our property very falsely stating our appliance as fully working). Each time a Hometree engineer has attended our home however, they have never stayed long enough to even check the boiler is actually fully working -or to spot their incompetent mistakes. We are now considering legal action. However we must implore anyone to reconsider Hometree before suffering a similar diabolical sustained customer experience, low quality service and low value for money that Hometree have given us. They have no shame or apology for being a service exclusively and unfairly to themselves. My view is this company is run by apathetic boiler engineers used to creaming insurance -but not really remindful of doing a useful job that might actually service boilers and help customers. Hometree certainly have no professional pride or honour from our sustained experience -just a dim single minded goal to take your money. Utterly disgraceful and a soon to be subject of a Watchdog show I would firmly predict.

Hometree not only provide the repair services but their customer service is superb too! I now use them for my home and my rental property. It’s fair to say that you receive an individual service for very competitive prices. Thanks Hometree!

We haven’t needed to use the services of Hometree as yet but when choosing them I compared them against other companies and read lots of reviews. From research of the services offered they are very comparable to the other companies but at a better price. My deductions from other reviews in terms of service I feel may depend a little bit on ‘pot luck’ as to which local heating engineer or electrician etc they send out when you need them. Many excellent reviews for Hometree for the tradesmen sent to do repairs, alongside a few, where customers who were not happy with some tradesmen who did come out. This made me wonder if British Gas, for example, may have been a better choice as their engineers are employed directly, and therefore should be uniform in their methods. But then I remembered that even with direct employees you may be sent out an unlikable engineer with a bad attitude. So in the end we decided to go with Hometree and hope that the local, sub contracting, engineers they send out are good ones. Until we need a repair I will simply say that we went for price and overall reviews and will update this review when the time comes. Finally I would just like to add that their customer care is certainly worthy of the 5 stars I have given in this review. We get regular updates and are made to feel like a big family group.
