We used HBT for the first time for the British Grand Prix this year. Found the camp site well laid out and excellent showers and toilets. Staff were excellent, friendly and so hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately when I asked for an extra pillow this was one thing that they could not help with. The food was pretty extensive and good value. We will definitely consider using them again.

Used Hotel Bell Tent at the British GP...what a weekend!..Lewis won..England won the cricket world cup...good weather..great music at the Grand Prix...and all supported by Hotel Bell Tent,its food,the tents and atmosphere...would recommend to all!

Very well run event (British Grand Prix 2019), friendly staff and well kept facilities. The tents themselves are basic but spacious, the accessories provided by HBT are really handy and make camping much more comfortable/convenient.

I would definitely use HBT again if I see them as an option at an event.

Four years in a row at CarFest South and Hotel Bell Tent never fail to impress. Friendly and helpful staff are always on hand to help if needed, but with the tent, bedding, excellent toilet/shower facilities, the bar, breakfast and big screen it all comes together to make for completely care-free glamping experience.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Bell Tent for Carfest South for the last 2 years, having previously tried another glamping company at Big Feastival. In terms of value Hotel Bell Tent is far superior, better toilets and showers, coffee & hot choc on tap, plentiful breakfast and great surroundings, alongside super helpful staff. The tents are comfortable, bedding warm, and everything nice and clean. The first year at carfest was torrential rain and the glampimg bar area literally saved us, made such a difference, and ditto the cocktails in the sun this year! The only improvements for me would be to include a festival guide/ lanyard so we could get a bearing on the site and plan the line up, and marshmallows on tap for the kids for the campfire. We’re looking to try an alternative festival next year but have narrowed it down by where else has Hotel Bell Tent!

Have stayed with the lovely folk at Hotel Bell Tent for 3 yrs on the run now and have enjoyed all of our stays. They literally will bend over backwards to help and offer great facilities. This year was a wet one but still the staff had the ability to lift spirits and make our stay as good as ever before.

My wife & I have stayed at carfest hotel bell tent for the last 2 years & it keeps getting better, which we didn’t think possible.

We had our first stay with Hotel Bell Tent this year at Carfest North and it was a great experience - Despite the unfortunate torrential rain for most of the weekend.
All of the Hotel Bell Tent staff that we encountered were helpful, smiley and clearly dedicated to the customer experience. They did their very best to keep everything running smoothly and despite the weather making the site pretty much a bog.
Weather aside, we had a fab time and would definitely recommend HBT.

Stayed as a group of two families in two tents for Car Fest North. Nowhere near as good as last year. Not the jolly, luxury retreat advertised - sorry.
Staff shortages (harangued staff miserably told us how they had been dumped in it) meant a very long wait to check in - in very hot sunshine and no buggy available to take luggage from car park to site unless we wanted to wait a very long time. Buggy’s were standing idle by reception as we queued around them. No drinks or apologies as we waited and waited and waited......

No email received about pre booking breakfast so came as a shock that we were expected to go very early in the morning if we wanted breakfast. The email came through last year but did not this year.
Not all things pre - ordered were in tent. So by the time we had finally checked in, gone back to reception to chase missing items - festival was open and well underway and we were already jaded.

Site disintegrated into a muddy, unmanageable mess as soon as the rain started. The mud was deep, slippery and coated everything. It was dangerous and by Sunday - a trip to the loo was an expedition. Only bit ok to walk on was the grass area they roped off before we arrived as it was boggy. So inevitably tents soon became a muddy mess and toilets were always filthy with mud when we visited! People had clearly been trying to clean boots and things in the sinks. Gross. There seemed very little provision for wet weather. The site was what it was rain or shine.

Breakfast was chaos. More like a tent under attack from hungry buzzards as you sat elbow to elbow on long communal benches with your back against your neighbour eating your 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon and spoon of beans. Which were cold if you queued for a piece of toast! Having to go back for orange juice or water as it wasn’t initially offered - you had to know it was behind the counter. Glorious way to start the day.

Good things - Beds were comfy and site close to entrance.

Out of bell tents hands - but added to the misery - Not much sleep as we were in a tent next to a tent with a crying baby who was clearly being schooled in the ‘keep crying but we won’t comfort you’ self soothing approach. With only two canvas walls between us - all the neighbours could enjoy this battle of wills through the night and the morning - all weekend. Glorious.

If the site was all it was advertised to be it would be perfect - but it wasn’t this year. This is the last festival of the year for Hotel bell tent and it felt like it. Felt like the staff had been abandoned with no support or additional plans (wood chip - heaters! ) for the forecast rain. It seemed to turn very quickly to chaos.

We made a very quick exit Monday morning - glad to be away.

Hotel Bell Tent are the best, the staff are brilliant so friendly, Steve was so helpful, we always do hotel bell tent when we visit carfest North but was different this year as my brother is now in a wheelchair and Steve went above and beyond providing disabled shower and toilet, and charging the motor scooter, the weather was shocking but hotel bell tent made it for us ❤️
