update:11/29/04 went in and delt with Chad, Great guy he helped deal with his boss and kollance and got me 2 601 fronts and a replacement 650bk front for $25, for now they have at least kept the account with them.
I have shopped at Infotech's store in person. They have always had great service, parts, and prices. But they dropped the ball with this order.
Infotech needs:
new management
employee attitude adjustment
more inventory
accurate website
Bottom line is most businesses only consider infotech a last resort but a no choice vendor becasue of good prices.
I dont want to put an invoice number down because I have an account with them.
This was my first order with your company and for sure the last one. Your company has a very good web site and prices, but your support sinks...
I will purchase again from this company, my items were wrapped with care and even got some extra parts.
Thanks for the great service.
I do not know where the management is for this place. Nobody that I have seen in that store looks or even acts as though they are a shift manager. The vibe seems to be too cool for school. I even had to listen to one of the employees try to sell a first time teenage gaming computer shopper and his father on SSD, water-cooling, and SLI Nvidia 680s to play WoW and Diablo III.

The first night I got home and put the system through its paces. It basically preformed terrible for the hardware installed. At first they thought it was a video card problem so we upgraded (aka I spent $240 more) the card to two ATI 5870 in crossfire.
After leaving it there for a couple days they pretty much gave up and let me take it home. I Thought it might have been a power supply issue so I had them upgrade ($160) to a higher watt output power supply. With the new power supply in, the cards actually preformed better and not worse in crossfire, although 2+ fps better is far below what it should have been doing. The second and unfixable (They refuse to exchange) problem is the processor. Even though they said it should have NO problem running my system, it simply wasn't up to the task. Turning on turbo core (boosts the processor speed) gave a boost to the frame rates in games, so it was very obvious this was the bottleneck.
So with all these problems based on their recommendations, the manager I talked to refused to exchange parts or refund the system. You would think that the company would take some responsibility based on their own recommendations, but that doesn't seem to be the case at Infotech.
I hope to hear from them and work this out. I'm in the process of submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. For now though I recommend staying away from this company.

You can't expect Gateway.com phone service (if that's considered "good") with most online stores, which is typical. But Infotech at least has an 800 number and people who understand the products they carry (and not on commission).
