Just had our PL10-QBF-TG-S steam shower fitted 3 days ago and absolutely love it but for one thing. First, I placed the order and was told 2 weeks to delivery. It came on time, the build was straightforward, very well designed and trying out the unit with the nozzles billowing out luxurious steam and the multicolour lighting slowly changing. Pure luxury. Then - I turned the music on. The last time I heard a sound like that was on a cheap tinny 1960’s transistor radio or those rubbish speakers that could be fitted to the parcel shelf of a 1971 Ford Cortina! It’s just a couple of similar speakers screwed onto the top of the plastic roof facing down into the shower with the backs of the speakers open to the bathroom! The steam shower is absolutely brilliant but it has been ruined for me by such a cheap addition that has spoiled the whole experience! Why Insignia? Some kind of enclosures on the back of the speakers could have given them some bass and a decent sound and given my PL10-QBF-TG-S the 5 stars that it truly deserves.

I too read the reviews before I bought my shower and was put off by the bad reviews but still went ahead - I'm in retail so I know that if you do 10 bad orders you get 10 bad reviews but if you do 1000 good orders, you might get 1 good review and maybe that's part of it, but I'm happy with my shower, much better than the old Aqualusso I had, that was awful.

Had our steam shower for approximately 3 years now and it shows that these steam showers are a throw away item.
This started with the control unit had to replace this twice where the water penetrate the cover and stop working. Shelf attachment fell off as it’s made of plastic screwed on to a glass shelf. Then came the drain cover rusted away as the screw holding the drain cover perished. Think a plastic screw could have done a better job.
All chrome fittings start to have blemish of rust spots appearing after few months.
Spray jets leak and effects the look of the shower after tears appear on the back panel with the continues leak from the jet spray.
Control knobs chrome starts to peel away few months.
Tried speaking to Insignia help desk inform that we didn’t extend our Warranty.
I personally extended the Warranty on the day the unit was fitted!
Would not recommend this Shower to anyone.

I bought a bath steam shower cubicle, had it professionally fitted and was incredibly happy with it for 2 and a half years. However, last week I went on holiday and when I returned the curved side panel had exploded with such force it has taken chunks out of the sink. I contacted the company I bought it from who were horrified to hear what had happened but said that insignia said I would have to purchase a new panel. I rang insignia sales, the woman I spoke to was also shocked to hear what had happened and advised me to contact the customer support team via the website as the cost if replacement was £275 plus £50 delivery plus whatever the fitter charges for reinstallation.
I found contacting them almost impossible as I had to identify which shower I owned prior to an email address appearing and mine wasnt on the list. Eventually, seeing no other contact numbers or addresses I emailed through a link specifically telling me not to email regarding claims as it was the only way. I apologised, explained the problem and asked if they could forward an address that I could reply to.
They replied within 24 hours with a rather blunt and patronising paragraph informing me that glass does not explode without reason (agreed) and that in her opinion (julia) the door had been jolted and knocked at the bottom causing it to shatter a few days later. She sent me a fun little video demonstrating a bloke hitting the glass with a hanner staying intact and then being tapped lightly on the floor from the bottom whereby it shattered neatly into a little pike by his feet.
I replied with photos showing the extent of the explosion of glass and asked how a panel which is NOT a door and fixed with glue top and bottom could have been tapped on the bottom.
She acknowledged my frustration but basically told me to pay up as it couldnt possibly be insignia fault.
It will no doubt be impossible to prove either way and in the meantime I'm stuck with a dangerous cabin, a huge bill and thr tricky job of clearing and collecting all the glass.
Terrible customer service.
Possibly a dangerous product.
But the 2 years trouble free showering were pretty amazing.

I have now read insignia's reply.
1. The details given by their team as to how the glass may have been damaged was not possible (as stated in my review) due to the bottom being fixed in place and pretty much unreachable.
2. The glass did not simply shatter. It exploded outwards with such force that it damaged the sink which is about a foot away from the panel.
3. I have NOT been contacted by the sales team or been able to purchase the pack at cost price. My insurance company are now dealing with this and trying to find a way to fix it. If they have been in touch with insignia on my behalf I am not aware of it.
4. I think I can safely say..... insignia have continued to be useless in helping me sort this problem. Buyer beware!!!!

I bought an Insignia shower tower just over 2 years ago. I still have the original ad which says "Features: 5 yrs parts warranty". I registered my warranty on purchase and received email confirmation which clearly says "Am I covered for 5 years on all parts? : You are, however if you haven't registered your warranty within 90 days from delivery your warranty will revert to the standard 12 months."
As I had registered straight away, that means I am covered for parts for 5 years. Or so you might think. My shower has started leaking. I am now told by Insignia that shower towers aren't covered by 5 years warranty, only 12 months and that I have to buy a spare part from them. When querying why it said in the warranty email that I am covered for 5 years, I am kurtly told that this was only a generic email and shower towers arent covered!! Theyre clearly making it up as they go along. To be honest, Insignia I'd rather throw my shower away and buy a different brand, rather than give you any more of my money.
Update : Since my original review, several staff at Insignia have been more than helpful in getting me the correct part to enable my shower to be in working order again. It is much appreciated. Thank you.

I have had two plumbers with 30 years of installing showers who have never seen anything like this. Broken bits on delivery, which were replaced in the end. Missing bits off the back to attach shower riser. The plumbers have spent over a day and a half trying to install the glass panels which will not fit into the frame. Rang the helpline and a guy from the store told them he had the same issue, try using the small seals and hitting it with a rubber mallet. They never tried this in case the glass shattered. The quality of the item for the price paid is poor. I have emailed customer service on two occasions and still waiting for them to contact me.

From the 1st call I knew we were in good hands, the phone was picked up by a lady called Naeema, talking though there models we found the one that we wanted, once ordered I had an email with a date time which worked well with us as we both work, I also spoke to lee who helped me with a lot of questions, once we had received our new shower there was some damaged parts, one phone to lee & it was replaced in 2 days that's what I call great service, I also had to all lee again today about the control & with no hesitation he has put a new one in the post today which I will have tomorrow, lee also talked me though how to easy it is to change, I would highly recommend this company & the two members of staff that work there, I have scored them 5 out of 5 & if I could have scored them a 10 I would have done, 100% happy.
many thanks to you both, ,Mark & Debs

I ordered my steam shower on 22 November , it was arranged for delivery on Tuesday 11 Dec however when I made contact on Monday 10 Dec to make sure it was still coming only to be I told it wasn’t. So it was rearranged for Monday 17 Dec although I was told it had to be delivered sooner due to the 30 day delivery rule ,On said Monday I rang for an expected delivery time, only to be told it isn’t coming today they have rescheduled it to weds which I’m not available to take in ,I had taken Monday off work to take in this delivery , I am so annoyed by this shocking customer service.

Have recently built a MC90CQ quadrant shower for a client, it looked ok once built though I was not impressed by the following points, if it had of been for me I would have returned it.

The shower tray was bowed, it was checked to be level on the rear edges it would then not be level from the corner to the curve.

Also the curve of the tray was out on one part which meant it didn’t look consistent with the quadrant profile.

There was some minor marks in finish of the tray moulding.

The black coated finish of the aluminium comes off relatively easy.

The instructions are not accurate, I would suggest before you use their gum make the shower up dry and mark out where the glass and profiles sit when you remake it it will help the enclosure to sit correctly as to help keep the removal of the gum minimal.

The corner glass wall panel was not sat correctly in its profiles on one side by about 3mm.

I wouldn’t recommend this product based on the experience I’ve had with it though it looks ok when built, unless you look closely

Been saving for a year to get a bathroom built in my house, treated myself to the Noire 90 shower at £2,250 but it turned up on Monday with majority of panels damaged (Dents, scratches, shoe prints, dust or dirt within the paint finish etc.), i contacted the company within hours, I had to fill out an online form and send pictures, i chased them up yesterday and advised them my contractor was arriving back on Thursday 8th August to install or he would not be available for another 2-3 months. It is now Wednesday 7th August 4.30pm and i have still heard nothing, I can't see me getting a new shower by tomorrow morning, so i will have to cancel everything today.

They say on their websites don't book a contractor until you have received your shower and it is damage free BUT only 1 delivery driver is sent out and they only deliver curb side, it says you will need to lift the shower in yourself, at 5ft and 7stone 8 (not that my size or weight should ever prevent me from buying a product, i shall have to look that up), there is no way i could lift any of the 6 large boxes that arrived or pull them out of the boxes safely to inspect them. Also my contractor is fully booked 2-3months at a time and you only have a limited number of days to advise if the shower is faulty. Plus how many showers do you receive until you get one in good condition?

Currently looking at Vidalux they have a 1 working day turn around for damaged items, nice!

this is the 3rd steam shower I have had (1st Insignia ona though) and after only two years the steamer no longer works. I was told it was because i had not had a water softener installed! my other steamers also had this option and worked well until I changed the units, on avarage 5 years. The drain cover has also rusted apart as the screw to connect the top part to the bottom rusted away and although I have requested a new part under the warranty nothing has been received.

Hi we purchased our shower unit 3 years ago. It has ran well with no major faults however I have noticed over the last few months that the control panel knobs have started to corrode and the silver covering has flaked off. Has anyone else had this problem ?

We bought an Insignia GT9014 shower cubicle about two years ago. Endless problems! Four major leaks: they use clips to attach flexible plastic piping to manifolds which are totally unreliable. The sliding shower doors are not fit for purpose. Nor can they recommend plumbers with Insignia installation experience. A waste of money!
