I'm not a frequent customer only because I'm an adult who doesn't get as much time for practice as I'd like, but Johnson String is fantastic when I need them. Good prices on strings, great variety of sheet music, and the best folding music stands.

We received the electric violin we ordered for my daughter in time for Christmas - yay! But it did not work - boo! It was incredibly disappointing. We called customer service and the rep told us to replace the battery with a new one, which we went to the store to purchase - 5 in a pack and only needed one. That did not work and now we have to send it back and she went back to NY without her long-awaited electric violin with which she would gig with to make money. Frustrating! Side note, you might want to get my name right!

A repeat customer -- for years -- I have always been happy with Johnson String Instruments. I can always depend on them to meet almost all of my musical needs. They often ship in boxes -- depending on the contents -- whereas other vendors often opt for flimsy envelopes. They have a good string selection, always fresh; and like that JSI offers the special JSI String Set, which features Dominants and a Gold Label E.

Its been a decade since i last played the violin and im so glad that i found this site. The violin is beautiful and i love the case. Its not that scaly leather looking one. Overall im really excited about this violin thankyou!

I ordered a brass shoulder rest attachment clip so I could bend it into a custom shape. There were few places it was available and this one was the least expensive. I wrote and changed the part number after ordering and it was handled cheerfully. The part arrived almost immediately and worked for my purpose. Thanks!

Good products, prices, communication and service. I mistakenly sent an order to them which they cancelled on request as soon as they received it despite being closed for inventory review. The refunded my money immediately and without question. In the past, they have sent orders quickly as well. I have nothing but praise for their products and their work.

Excellent product design and use. The stand folds into a tight easily transportable article with its own bag. My cello fits perfectly into it and at least half of it is no longer setting directly on the hard floor. Completely stable and reliable.

I have been ordering from Johnson Strings for years. Every order has arrived perfectly and often in half the time I expected. They have a vast selection of strings and everything any musician might need- at excellent prices. My most recent, BAM Case hoodie arrived in just a few days. Strings ordered recently came in two days- using regular delivery! Lifesaver!

People say that you should first get some good strings if you're thinking you need a better instrument. That's great advice! I bought a set of Zyex strings from Johnson and already my viola sounds 100% better. And the strings settled in within a few days! Thank you, Johnson strings!

Thank you for sending me somebody's returned item. The box was filled with foreign newspapers and other persons's UPS shipping slips. Item itself was in good condition but not a good shopping experience.

This rental is a great bargain for my advancing 14 yo player who needed a better cello to really grow as a musician. Rental and delivery were seamless and easy. He unpacked it tuned it and now can't wait to play every day... with the old beater, he couldn't hear how much his practice was paying off but now his tone and performance quality are obvious and have encouraged him greatly.

The bass bag I ordered is of high quality and great value. Unfortunately, my bass is an unusual size and it didn't fit. They promptly gave instructions for returning it with credit for the shipping cost. Would definitely deal with them again if I could find what I need.
