Kitchen Design

Our in-house design consultant (Jono) was very knowledgeable and professional. Being an experienced cabinet-maker allowed him to confidently recommend functional layouts and we are extremely happy with the final design.

I visited The GoodGuys Brighton last week to enquire about the installation of a Kinsman Kitchen. My initial in store contact was Katrina, who did a very thorough explanation of what was involved in purchasing a Kinsman Kitchen. Katrina also made some great suggestions for my new kitchen. The next day my personal designer, Iveta, came to measure and and discuss my needs. Iveta spent about 4 hours in my home and supplied me with a thorough costing, drawings and some fantastic suggestions. I was very impressed with Iveta's enthusiasm and professionalism. The follow up from Kinsman was immediate and my new hassle free Kinsman kitchen has begun. Thank you Iveta and Katrina.

I visited today to check out the range, My consultant was very helpful and explained the product expansively, really gets you thinking about how you would like your kitchen to be practical and look fantastic

I was so pleased to work with Kinsman Kitchens to replace a very tired 20 year old kitchen. From initial design, layout, finishes and accessories to delivery and installation I found the Kinsman team excellent. They were always contactable, they cared for the product..especially those delivery guys, and Steve who installed was awesome...professional, tidy, meticulous. I chose Oxford Venette and am so happy with the finished look and liveability of the cabinets. And delivery time was amazing...about 3 weeks earlier than anticipated but that was fine. All up...a great experience and a great product. thanks Kinsman Kitchens and team.

It’s been 18 months and still my wardrobes aren’t fixed. Three faults have had to be repaired in that time and the lack of communication has been crazy. Still waiting for the fault in the mirrored panels t be done and definitely would not recommend getting the mirrors, let alone using this company

I called into the good guys one Saturday, just looking around,I wandered into the kinsman kitchens display and was approached by one of their sales people. he explained all of the processes and I made an appointment for a rep to come around and do measure and quote, for my new kitchen. the design was completed then came to the picking of bench tops, i rang for samples and they were sent to me, after three more visits to the display( my indecision not theirs) i made a final decision. Arrangements were made to install and this was done very efficiently, i found the tradesmen were very helpful and was made a very positive experience. I could not be happier with my new kitchen and would recommend Kinsman to anyone who was interested in replacing their old kitchen

Found the representative Johnathon from Kinsman Kitchens to be a very polite and easy to discuss the needs of a new kitchen with, he listened to the the suggestions I put forward and helped to make these fit into the design of the kitchen, was very impressed with his knowledge of products and willingness to give me the best plan possible

My first dealings with Kinsman Kitchens started at The Good Guys in Springvale. Very attentive, patient and helpful. A kitchen designer consultation was booked and from there the process began. Very professional from beginning to end. All tradesmen were professional, punctual and courteous. Can't speak more highly of my experience with Kinsman Kitchens.

I am still waiting for my upper cabinets to be completed 1 1/2 months after installing my kitchen. Firstly wrong sized upper cabinets designed/sent (too long to be inline with the rangehood), then scratched up cabinets and doors sent and returned three times. And although they organised the install at their expense in apology, I'm still waiting for it to be completed so I can tile, install the rangehood and powerpoints. The delay is unacceptable.

Cost: overpriced. Reached my absolute maximum budget for entire cabinets & bench tops at the initial consultation, only to be told this didn't include the bench tops when I called in with my final colour decision. The consultant kept trying to redesign the kitchen to get the price back down but it wasn't what I needed, and so I called to cancel. At this point they said they wouldn't charge me extra for the benchtop and altered the design so it was fine, so I just kept going with it. At the check and measure the sizing turned out wrong so I had to pay for 20cm extra benchtop - I mean, really.
Quality:
Cabinets- average. Watch out for scratches. Also covered in dirt.
Cabinet doors- artarmon gloss are excellent
Hinges- very good soft close
Drawers- excellent
Benchtops- nice, but not cut lengthways along the main feature wall as I was expecting, so they are strangely truncated. This was never discussed with me, and I'm very disappointed.
Design: mediocre. Issue with configuration, pricing, measuring (bench length, upper cabinets) and the benchtops.
Customer service: lacking due to under-staffing. They try but two people are insufficient to deal with all their issues. Hard to get hold of by phone. Stuck with online portal. Still waiting to finish kitchen.

All in all it is a nice kitchen but I wouldn't buy from them again due to all the issues.

Visited two The Good Guy stores at Tempe and Alexandria and and received wonderful service from two lovely ladies katina and Yvonne in the Kinsman Kitchen section,very knowledgeable and helpful

Signed contract and paid deposit almost $7000 and rely on their word to install kitchen before Xmas. So, I organised another jobs which were supposed to be done after kitchen installation. After one week, Kinsman manager Siraj called me and said that the kitchen will not be installed by Xmas. He did not care that I am losing money for the other organised jobs due to rely on Kinsman. Guys do not trust them. write it down whatever you need and claim penalty if they do not do your job.

I had out a kingsman Wardobe designer to get a quote. After arriving 30 minutes late, the designer was kind and helpful until we got to price. He quoted me $8k for two very simple and small wardrobes installed (including the 25% discount). Once I mentioned that was out of my price range things went down hill. After informing him that I did not want to go ahead, he was visibly upset. I understand he works on commission but he then became ruse. He asked about my recently completed kitchen, saying that Kingsman could have completed it for $15k less than what I paid (a pointless comment as the work is done and out of touch to the amount of remodelling involved in the kitchen job) & then I find the next day he has left ink stains all over my new white stone bench top. I honestly wouldn't bother with Kingsman unless you are going to purchase on spot as they do no take kindly to anything other than a sale.

3rd time lucky - I've finally found the amazing Morgan, who actually listened to my every requirement, was a true professional and a progressive thinker. Kinsman Kitchens @ Nunawading are fantastic and are working with me to achieve and meet all my requirements within the budget and boundaries that I have provided.

5 stars for Rhonda (40010912)at KOTARA NEWCASTLE. She was extremely helpful and showed us around the store to find the best for us and our kitchen needs. She even looked at our house plans and gave us some ideas. Then once we purchased our appliances she uploaded all the information to the portal to help us out. We also recommend Todd who was our designer who spent alot of time drawing up plans and giving us ideas for our kitchen, he was very helpful, extremely knowledgeable and very considerate of our needs & budget. Got us every discount that he could. Thank you

I have been to 3 of their stores looking at kitchens and the service at the different 3 of them was absolutely amazing I couldn’t ask for better service and I was helped so much my new kitchen has turned out fabulous because of them so thankyou.

We booked Kinsman months in advance and had it installed when we were ready later in year. The salesman was great at first meeting. The instore staff at The Good Guys were great. Even the delivery team. Our site manager was brilliant. He was upfront, informative and kept the process of installation on track. Yes we were without a kitchen for few weeks but the end result was worth it. The quality is fantastic. Definitely get what you pay for. We love our new kitchen! Word of advice is do go to stone factory and pick your bench top. Don’t rely on the samples it’s totally different.

Our meeting with the designer was great and we really trusted her. However, she led us to believe that the quote price included installation. Due to our trust in her, we took her word and we didn't read the fine print which states that it isn't. The variation isn't correct either. Despite cutting back a lot of the design, the cost hasn't come down. We now have to decide whether to forego $800 from the deposit and get the rest of the deposit back or push on ahead. We don't know where we'll find extra $ for installation especially seeing the seems to be little benefit in doing a variation to reduce costs.

I have given Kinsmen Kitchen 5 stars, as overall, we are happy with the final product. The process worked well and the portal to which you communicate throughout the process is good system. The quality of the kitchen is good and whilst I have never purchased a very high end kitchen to compare it against, it does have a high quality feel to it.

The sales consultant, Rodrigo Brito was very good, patient and helpful throughout the process. The tradie who was assigned to us to do the work, Rhys Stratford, was equally very helpful and did what he could to ensure we were happy.

It is important that you invest time in the project and pay close attention to detail. Human mistakes do happen but if you read and check everything and ask questions you should not be disappointed, and ultimately end up with exactly what you wanted. It is an easy to work through but it is not a hands off process.

You will get out of your kitchen, whatever effort you put into it. Kinsman provide everything you need to make that happen with a good quality product.
