Now on third Kippy EVO and still not working

This was a replacement for the Pod 3 which was great until they had their SIM issues. First Kippy had battery issues after about 5 days. Second Kippy wouldn't charge after 6 days. Now on the third one. I know my dog is currently out with a family member in a big field in a town with excellent Vodafone coverage. The Kippy was fully charged overnight. Can I see her position on the app? No. Even though she was wearing it all day yesterday, its shows no activity. Hopeless.
Absolutely hopeless

I see the response in from Kippy referring me to Vodafone. Which I will do. Again. It must be statistically impossible to have 3 faulty devices but this one only seems to track and show its position when it's in Bluetooth contact with my phone. Since I have this in case my dog gets lost, that's not very useful.

I have been trying for 3 weeks to get an address to send back the pet tracker but you will not give me the information

This is a review over three Kippy's after around 4 years of usage.
Kippy worked decent enough, not the best, when it was just Kippy. But then they came with Kippy Vita. A useless health program added to it. Who wants that? And the prescription rate is double of that of the old Kippy. But even worse, it became a lousy product. It works just on and off. Many times we experienced that: "cannot reach the Kippy. Make sure that it is switched on" And indeed we needed to sort of reset it by switching it off and on again. How frustrating is that when you actually lost your dog?! Battery sometimes didn't fully load altough the light was green. This is a review of having three Kippy's over a period of about 4 years. They work fine in the beginning but start to hassle you very much after a while. And the Italian customer service is totally lousy. The same as the Kippy. Seems helpful at the start but when the problems continue no one responds anymore.
UPDATE as a reply on the comment of Kippy on this review: We have had three Kippy's and all had the exact same problems. Last attempt: yesterday. Kippy was fully charged and enough reception but still couldn't find it. It needed a reset by switching it off and on again. How very inconvenient if we would have actually lost our dog. We are done with Kippy's. Don't want them anymore. They are lousy after a year. I have been through this problem over and over and over again with your helpdesk. You cannot solve this and after a while I do not hear anything from you anymore. I am the one who has finally been back into contact with you through the Dutch importer who also did not hear from you at first. Finally one of your managers had to intervene. You know my name. It is in this review. You can see in your system what has been going on over the years. You can contact me if you wish. I am not going to contact you anymore. After three lousy Kippy's, money down the drain and a lot of hassle to get into contact with you it is over. We move on to another brand.

We have now had 3 replaced devices and all three have failed after one or two uses. The lasted one will no longer charge or connect or do anything. Really poor tech.
I guess I will have to go through the whole process again!!

Had a couple of these over 2 years for my dogs, and they've saved me a lot of trouble. - Location and live tracking generally excellent - patchy only when the dogs are under a heavy tree canopy - but hooks up as soon as they emerge. - Recently replaced one for the new "Evo" version however - and I'm anxious that the new ones are not as water resistant as the old ones (whilst my dogs don't swim much - they do paddle)- So far I've had to have 2 replaced after a weeks usage. - Though Kippy service and support helpful, quick and excellent in my experience. - I've some doubts that the new model is as robust as the old one.. Anyway the latest replacement will be with me tomorrow, so fingers crossed. - But generally an excellent product with good back up - and I've recommended them lots of times.

Works well and has a decent autonomy (better than expected, more than 1 week in standby with the lowest refresh rate). However, I'm not entirely confident in the waterproofing. I had a kippy Evo unit that stopped working correctly after a brief encounter with water (could be a coincidence, though). Nevertheless, Kippy promptly replaced it.

I cant even get a network signal in London, safe zone wifi won't work and gps very slow 15mins in open field. I got it as a replacement for my pod 3 that worked fine for me but was no longer supported. Vodafone replaced my first unit as they thought it was a faulty unit but the second one was the same. If you have a strong vodafone signal it might work well for you.
Good app. Battery life was about 1 day but that might be that the unit was searching for a signal. You can't change the battery so you had to take it off the collar every day to charge. It connects to the collar with a bit of velcro so I don't know how long it will last being taken off and on every day

Worked for a few days then refused to connect to a mobile network. Despite being fully charged resetting it, it still doesn’t work, so it’s now an expensive paperweight.

Don’t sign up for their 2yr subscription, you’ll be lucky if you get a month out of it

I have buy a new Kippy because the other one ( 2 years old).the battery was not working good. I had a new id number with a premium pakket from the other kippy. I can not replace the kippy so I send it back to you.
When will I get my money back?

Bought two trackers for my two dogs. Awful, never properly works. I have the devices set to update the app every 24 hours to save the battery life, but they still only last 2 days maximum. And most of the time they don't even update that often! There's been days where they haven't updated in 2 48 hours.

On top of that, when on holiday I tried to use the 'Live Tracking' mode to try and see where they were, waited for 10 mins.... nothing... 20 mins... nothing! Not much use if your dog has run away and you need a constant update of where it is!

And to top it all off, trying to get a refund for the products has been one of the most painful processes I have been through, I've been actively trying for well over a week now!

My son bought 2 of these via Vodafone VPET- one for each of our dogs. They work well and do what they say on the tin - BUT - they both stopped working after about a month or so. Neither would switch back on even when fully charged. The one had been on a dog which had been in a pond, but they are supposed to be IP67 waterproof. So Vodafone sent 2 new ones and now mine has packed in again after a couple more months. Again it won't switch on and I know its charged. I tried charging again and it came on after an hour or so, but after being switched off it wont come on again. We are now debating whether to get it replaced or send them both back for a refund as they are so unreliable. Don't get me wrong - when they work they are a great bit of kit, but I need reliability in case the dog runs off.

Been using kippiy vita for 2 years and working really good!

The gadget is very good but the customer service is useless I bought the harness & now it doesn't fit,on website they offer Medium or large but when I rang up they stated that there's no sizes one fits all.
The gadge eadies gets scratched & you would have thought they would have had something to protect it but no.
If I had my time over again I won't have bought it.

It’s light enough for our little cat but boy has changed our life’s as we can see where she is
We can see she is safe and moving around
We now know when she is home so no more running to door every few minutes

This product is highly unreliable with battery failing within the first two weeks on two consecutive models. Was absolutely fine until this happened with very quick identification of position of owner and dog. I only hope it is waterproof because my dog loves to splash about in ponds on most walks but there is no sign of any problem with the seals. The issue is not one for Vodafone but surely for the Italian manufacturers as this is a hardware not software problem with the on off switch just stopping working.

I really liked the Kippy Evo I purchased in September, eight weeks later and the past week it has refused to charge the battery. Have contacted Kippy a number of times to try and get a resolution. But no reply as yet.. it’s turning out to be an expensive piece of plastic. £170 with the subscription. I did love the Kippy until it died and no one from customer services comes back to me ;-(
