I ordered a piece of furniture over 3 weeks ago. It has arrived without instructions, which was promptly sorted out. And when we built it, we discovered it was missing a piece. Laura James sent another piece, poorly packaged and completely broken and unusable. I asked for another, which they apparently sent. A week later, it's not arrived and nothing is showing up on the tracking I was given. I queried this and was told to wait another 24 hours - still nothing. I queried it again and asked to get a refund and send the piece back as I'm sick of chasing them for a shoe cupboard. I received a generic response saying they're monitoring my order which didn't answer anything or help in the slightest.

I have been chasing this every few days for 3 weeks and still don't have a working piece of furniture.

Avoid this company at all costs. I'm sick of chasing for a 10x15cm piece of wood to get no help. I paid £90 for a shoe cupboard that is flimsy and somehow poorer quality than ikea and, to add insult to injury, it still isn't finished.

If I could give zero stars I would. Over Christmas I ordered a sofa and in early January I was injured by a protruding wire that almost injured my baby. When I reported this I was refunded but I had to arrange my own removal of the dangerous sofa. Since then I have nothing but refusal to be reimbursed these costs. Every email I’ve had has refused to provide me with the contact details for their legal department or senior leadership. Their products are very dangerous and my warning to everyone is to avoid these cowboys at all costs

Ordered in JUNE! for delivery in early August. When we got to early August, they told me the courier company ‘lost’ my furniture set and the next delivery would be early September. They gave a small discount and I begrudgingly agreed to another 4 weeks on the lead time. We got to September and they said another delay, but promised I would have the furniture set by 14th September latest. Got to the 13th, I had booked 14th off work as the last they said was it would be 14th and despite several chases beforehand for an am or pm confirmation, they did not respond. On the 13th (pm) they eventually responded to say their courier would pick up from them on 15th and would then contact me to arrange delivery (so possibly another 1-2 weeks!). So eventually cancelled it and Laura James wasted months of our time and came up with many ‘onerous’ excuses, ultimately ending up with a complete failure on their part and no proper apology for their terrible service. Beyond disappointed. If you don’t want to supply something, stop lying on your website about dates and blaming everything on your carrier.

Very poor service and poor quality bed!! We received the bed 7 days after purchase as described. Upon building the bed we soon realised that the two side panels were missing screw holes and the end panel had been partially produced upside down. I spoke to the company and I was told they would get the parts replaced and following being dispatched they would be placed on next day delivery. I was also told the faulty parts would be collected as soon as possible. 5 working days later, the collection company arrived. They were obviously in a rush as banged the window, rang the doorbell and opened the front door into the house!!! At this point, after feeling very frustrated the driver said they were unable to take the parts as only had one label for 3 parts! They returned the next day for collection (1 week later). 7 working days later I still haven't received the replacement parts! After calling, it seems that they had asked the wrong delivery company to pick up the parcels due to the sizing. So over 3 weeks later I still only have half a bed!!!!!

We bought a beautiful garden set from Laura James, thar was out of stock in many other retailers. Also, when so many other companies were increasing their prices, this remained a reasonably priced set.

The bed is fantastic but in tansit it went missing because the label was damaged. It was extremely frustrating for us. The customer service team did eventually sort it out for us and I think this is rare for Laura James but it did sully the experience for us.

Saw this chair on the website and ordered it straight away.I was looking for a stylish dressing table chair as a present for my wife.Easy to assemble this rotating chic looking little chair was perfect.My wife loves the comfort and sumptuous velvet finish.I thoroughly recommend this for enhancing any bedroom.

Great value, looks fabulous. A lot cheaper than elsewhere and had been looking for a while. Service was very good it originally turned up without the stool however it was just an oversight and was quickly sorted. Customer service was excellent.

For a while I was looking for a glass and brass coffee table. After lots of googling I can across the Laura James website. They had exactly what I wanted and a price well within my budget. The item wasn’t available but I could put in a pre order request,which I did. I was emailed a week or so later to say the table was now available to order. Which I did. The order arrived on time. The package was well wrapped and all parts were intact. Instructions were simple to follow and I am now the proud owner of a lovely coffee table. Excellent value for more. Customer service staff are excellent too. Would recommend this company.

I ordered a sideboard from this company. The customer service I received was excellent - I was updated when the delivery would be -then called in the morning to provide me with a time. The drivers were extremely helpful and very customer centric - the product was as I expected - the quality was excellent I would totally recommend this company

Excellent through and through. As a new customer you never know what to expect when ordering online with a company new to you. I can't recommend enough the quality of the stylish furniture and value for money. Ordered twice on different date's and both came well packaged/protected and on time. Would definitely buy again from Laura James.

I ordered some garden furniture which was listed as in stock on their website on the 15th April and received an email confirming my order and saying they would be in touch when it has been dispatched. I contacted the following Monday to say I haven't heard anything which the lady apologies for and told me the furniture would be dispatched on the 23rd and would take 3-5 working days to deliver. After 5 days had passed and I heard nothing I followed up again to see what was happening to be told it has now been delayed until the 29th May. I emailed on the 28th to confirm it is still being dispatched to be told it had been moved to the 30th May. At this point I was getting slightly frustrated so I asked what the delay was, I wasn't really told an answer except my furniture was delayed yet again and wasn't expected in until the 4th June.

Ordered 8 seater rattan cube set with rain cover on 15th April.
When I ordered it had an in stock date of 21st May.
Emailed on 20th May to see if the order was on track, they responded that it was on track.
Then late on 21st May I was told it was now delayed until 28th May.
Phoned this morning as i was getting no response from my further emails, to be told that the 10 seater was due 28th May, but the 8 seater that I ordered was not due until 3rd June. Then it would take up to 7 days for delivery.
This is not good enough to have to chase the order each time to be told it is delayed again.
Compensation for delay has not been offered nor a refund either.
Lack of communication is a concern, and I am worried I may never recieve my garden furniture and have to find a way to get all my money refunded.

So... I ordered a sofa, tv unit and side tables on the 29/4/2020, and have yet to recieve my delivery, not only has This company taken my money promised 3-5 working day delivery but also have done literally nothing to help, and pretty much say it’s my fault because I work and can’t be home for deliveries

All they do is email the courier who then try to deliver but do not follow delivery instructions so in 4 weeks I’ve had 4 unsuccessful deliveries with 7 days between attempt 3&4

They are not a good company to order from, do not risk it as it has ruined a new house move for e and my husband and during this crazy time we living in it’s disgusting

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!

Also they use Xpd as their courier service check out their reviews will put you off ordering for life

I brought 2 bedside tables which are lovely and arrived promptly, the only problem being is when I ordered 1 was missing all the screws but they were sent out straight away. Now the only issue I have is, I haven't been able to use the draws after having them for over 2 weeks because they have such a strong varnish smell! I physically can't sleep with it next to me. Its getting to a stage where im just going to have to go out and have to just buy new ones because I just can't have these in my flat. Expect that the service is good and delivery comes quickly.

Looked everywhere for a garden set and came across Laura James, good priced furniture and delivery was due to be with me for 20th may, as they was a smaller company I decided to go with them rather then one of the larger ones.... 20th may came, heard nothing so I emailed... heard nothing, I then called to be told my furniture was with them and was due out for delivery in 5 days, which I was a little annoyed about but got over it. An hour later I had a reply to my Email from the previous day to say my furniture still hadn’t arrived and wasn’t due for another week, by this point I was confused because I had just been told on the phone that it was in stock. I waited a week and emailed got nothing back then I called today to be told all the furniture came in stock today apart from my table, which would come tomorrow!!! Then from Monday it would be 5-7 working days before I receive it! I am so annoyed!!! So now I won’t get it until the 8th June. The customer service is absolutely awful, it doesn’t take a minute to email if something is delayed!!!!!! I don’t think I would have heard anything from Laura James if I hadn’t of called them! They obviously do not communicate together and they definitely don’t communicate with there customers! I ordered due to time and now I’m waiting longer then ever!!! I am not happy!!!
