I ordered two floor lamps from this company. They arrived damaged. I used their online chat service to process a return. They told me to package them up the way they arrived, issued a return number, and told me that I would be hearing from them in about a week with the date for pickup. Over a week went by and I had not heard from them so I sent a message asking when they would be picked up and was told that the manufacturer wanted proof of the damage and insisted that I take photos. I had already packed them securely, which was no simple matter since the packing was complicated. I told them that this was an unfair burden, since I had already received authorization for a return and was not told to take photos originally, which I would have done while the lamps were out of the boxes. Then the great customer service took a downward spiral to the point that I realized that I was going nowhere with them. It was at that point that I filed a complaint with my credit card company where the issue is still in investigation. Buyer beware about this company!

I ordered a Framburg chandelier from ATG Stores on 3/22/2011. My debit card was charged the full amount of my purchase ($596.00)on 3/24/2011. My order was confirmed as available. However, I was notified on 3/25/2011 that my order was back ordered with an expected ship date of 4/30/2011.The ship date was amended to 5/5/2011 on 4/29/2011. On 5/10/2011 I was informed that my ship date was to be on 5/13/2011. The next delay was communicated to me on 5/23/2011. The new ship date was to be on 5/26/2011. You guessed it on 5/26/2011 I was informed of my new ship date of 5/31/2011. On 5/27/2011 was sent an e-mail with my scheduled freight pick up date, however, on 5/31/2011 I was informed that there would be a further shipping delay. I called the company and requested a cancellation of the order. My customer service representative told me that it could not be cancelled because it had been shipped. I requested a cancellation because I had been informed that it had not shipped. Antoine said he would place me on hold at check with the manufacturer. I held for over 21 minutes and was hung up on. I called back and spoke with Michelle who said she would check initiate the cancellation but that it would require 3-5 days to ascertain whether or not the item had shipped before I would receive a credit.I asked to be connected with a supervisor and commenced to be placed on hold while one was located. After 30 minutes I was disconnected. I called back and spoke with Mike. He informed me that a cancellation request had been initiated but that it would be 3-5 days for the manufacturers certification and then an additional 8 days before my account would be credited. I said that was unacceptable because everyone had already verified that the chandelier had not shipped asked for a supervisor or an address for the company, a legal representative or company officer. Mike gave me a false address for the company and while starting to give me names for the company or CEO hung up on me in mid-sentence.
Much of our shopping is done on the internet and I am shocked by the behavior exhibited by this company. In my experience most reputable companies do not charge my account until they are ready to perform.
Although I did not expect to speak directly to MR. Gary Rubens,CEO or Mr. Brad Halbach, VP-Operations, I sincerely believed that someone, at some level of responsibility, would be able to address to my concerns. Since that does not seem to be possible, I will begin on the first day of June,2011 to make complaints to any and all state and federal government agencies which regulate commerce in Washington and Missouri because I feel that I am being willfully deceived by Allied Trade Group.

Before ordering, "Live Chat" assured me that she had checked and the shower enclosure was available and would ship from the manufacturer in 24-48 hours. I ordered and 20 hours later the order status (no e-mail) said that it was on backorder for 3 months. The charge was already placed on my credit card. I cancelled the order, which took three days to get confirmed, and the charge has not be reversed on my credit card.

I bought a light fixture for one of my clients. I installed it and the ballast went out the first week. Not to mention the brokn bulbs I had to replace. I spent $134.00 for the light. I bought a ballast for $50.00, bulbs were $20.00. I had to pay someone to install it twice so I lost a lot of money because of these a**holes!! I asked for some help on this and they told me to go away.

My experience with ATG stores was a good one. My product arrived on time, as ordered, and at a fair price. The product was of good quality and well packaged. I would buy here again. This review is for the knobs & Hardware portion of ATG Stores.

We ordered bathroom fixtures from ATG Stores, not only did we get the best price online, but the products arrived in like 3 days in perfect condition, we immediately inspected them to make sure and everything was great. ATG is a trusted source and I have ordered plenty of items and never had an issue.

I had been looking for cabinet handles with an odd sized bore for years.
I easily found them at this site. They have a huge selction but it is very easy to narrow your search so you could easily find exactly what you want!
What had taken me years to find, took me only minutes to find at AGTstores. Couldn't have been easier.
And the quality was superb.

I ordered a floor lamp to replace one that finally failed after 10 years. The new one, an updated one of the one I got was better, more elegant, better engineered. Lighting Universe shipped immediately and I got the lamp in a week from my order date. No fuss, no muss. Super packaging, easy asembly.

I ordered bar stools from ATG, and was unhappy with the comfort level. I attmepted to return me and was told that I could not return them because I had assembled them. How am I supposed to determine if I like my purchase if I can't try it out? This policy is bogus and should be redefined. I will not be shopping with ATG again.

came broken had to replace fixture 2x and pay electrican each time, they would not replace the bulb because unfortunately I did not open all packages until i was ready to install, beyond the thirty day period, wanted me to pay 75% the the total cost to replace light fixture

I placed several orders previously without any problems. On Friday I ordered a ceiling fan and by Saturday I noticed that they dropped the price. I called to see if they would do a price adjustment, which they wouldn't so I canceled that order and re-ordered it along with additional fan. Of course they immediately charged my card and have not received the credit for the first order. Today I received confirmation that the first order was shipped. When I called to find out what happened I got a very unhelpful rep. who basically can do nothing. So I am going to receive two of the same items and I have to pay to return the item. What a waste of time and now money. I have planned to order my living room and dining room fixtures next, but no way....not from them!

I ordered 2 kitchen LED fixtures. I finally installed them after a few months and found one was defective. They tried some simple troubleshooting steps and then sent me a return label. I receive the working replacement within days. Based on the reviews I was worried, and it could have been a very negative experience. Instead, I am very pleased with the pricing, products, shipping times, and customer service.

I order four lights from these jerks and two days later my client found some other lights that she liked better. I called and asked if I could cancel the order and do an exchange for some other lights. I was told that since I called and canceled right away that it was not a problem. This person even called the manufacturer while I was on hold to make sure we could cancel the order! The Christmas Holidays came and went and so I finally got back to Lighting Universe (ATG Stores) three weeks later to get the new lights that my client decided on they told me that the original order that I canceled was in process and that I could not cancel the order. I informed them that I had already canceled the order and I told them the representative that I spoke with and they said that she should not have done what she did and the order was non- cancelable. They told me that I could always resell the lights on ebay. Rude! They told me that the restocking fee was 75% and that they would refund me $425 out of a $1,700 order. I called my credit card company to see if they could help and basically they said that I did not have much of a case because I did not have a order cancelation confirmation number. Do buy anything from atg stores or Lighting Universe. They are crooks!!

Got the first 2 items in my order super fast. The last item took 2 months, but it was delivered and now it is obsolete. Glad I got it before they completely ran out!

I experienced some of the same issues with ATG as others. Purchased a buffet which was delivered to me about 5 weeks later damaged. I refused delivery. The delivery guy was great - articulate, friendly, professional - wrote everything down. I called ATG - spoke to the nicest woman, Cheryl. Also sent an email to the 'escalation team' email address and Tamryn that I saw on this website and heard back immediately from both. Within 2 days I had a full refund. I would give them a 5/5 stars for customer service. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I sill don't have a buffet. I was worried if I kept reordering I would get another damaged piece so I just asked for a refund. This company has so much potential to be great. If they could just figure out the delivery part (getting the product to the customer a little quicker and not broken) they would be awesome. If they could figure out that part I would definitely use them again.

After two months of going back and forth with numerous customer service reps. ATG essentiallly said it was tough luck that we paid for a light fixture we never received. ATG said FedEx delivered it. We never received it. ATG flippantly said we should file a police report, for an item that there is no proof was ever delivered. It is unbelieveable that ATG takes no resposibility!

I have been trying for almost 40 days to correct a horrible situation created when my first attempt to order two lamps failed. I did not receive a receipt, or an order number, and in fact I got a message saying there was no such order. I tried again and the second time my order went through, I have a receipt and received confirmation from you. Just to be sure, I contacted your online chat person at customer service and the first person could not find any order from me at all. The second rep (Susan I believe) said she found two orders. I told her the first non-order hadn't gone through and it needed to be cancelled, if in fact she somehow had such an order from me. However, she said she couldn't help me even though my request to cancel was only hours after the original mishap. I later spoke with Scott on the telephone, your customer service rep, and he said he would have the lamps picked up and returned, with no expense to me, and in fact I received 3 emails from you confirming that you would contact me in 5-7 business days with further pickup instructions and a tracking number for the return package(s). That time has come and gone and you have not contacted me nor have you provided an address(es) for return or a tracking number. My numerous emails, phone calls and online chats have gone unanswered and unheeded. I am incurring interest on the $424.29 charge on my credit card since Sept. 4th, and in fact you now deny that you ever promised to pick up the packages at your expense, you blame Scott and Christy and every other person I talked to up until today and you now tell me everyone I spoke to did everything wrong and I need to pay for the return shipping charges myself -- for what reason I cannot possibly phathom -- as I have done everything in my power, starting within hours of the first non-order, and continuing for the last 40 days to get some confirmation from you of pickup instructions and a tracking number. It is obvious to me that you don't care if I ever get the merchandise back to you because you have your $424.29 and your continuous delays and denials of everything you promised me is getting exasperating and causing me much distress, in addition to interest charges on my credit card. Will you please pick up these lamps and return them without further charges to me--that is to say, no "restocking" fees or other surprise charges you will want to add on.

I ordered from them because their website showed that 4 of the items I wanted were in stock as of 2/3/10 then after placing the order they advised the items were backordered until late May. I find this to be deceptive advertising. When I contacted the Company to complain, they were not very apologetic and couldn't give me a reasonable explanation for this. Then when I said I would cancel the order, they asked me to be sure and read their return policy which makes no sense - how can you return something that you have never received and apparently won't for some time.
