As soon as the bulb was installed it let off an awful acrid burning smell which almost induced an asthma attack in one of my children. The lamp was fine before with a different bulb and is again after taking the new one out. The bulb purchased was the one recommended by Mathmos for the lamp in question.

I have had my Mathmos Astro Lava lamp for years and unfortunately it was stored incorrectly In my loft from when I moved house and leaked. I was overjoyed to learn I could buy a replacement bottle which fit my lamp after all these years. Delivery time was quick and the bottle was well packaged. I’m going to be buying more in different colours! Thank you Mathmos! I love it!

The website was simple enough to use and order, and the delivery was with me in just 2 days - pretty impressive considering it's mid-lockdown. The outter packaging was a bit battered and bruised when it arrived, but inside everything was packed in safely and undamaged.

I ordered some new bulbs which arrived as promised,I’m just dissatisfied with the quality of these as they don’t seem to last long and at a tenner a go I’ve nearly spent as much on these as I did buying buying the lamp in the first place ????

I have bought direct from Mathmos twice now, the first was a replacement bottle and the second now the genuine bulbs. Seriously do not waste your time buying non-genuine bulbs, I got through through 4 cheap bulbs in a short space of time. The bottle warms up correctly and efficiently and is super clear. The communication and delivery times are superb, great job, will never buy from any other source - As they say the Original is always the best. Thanks Andy

I needed bulbs for my daughters lamp, the bulb that it came with it lasted 4 weeks. It was not possible to have bulbs sent to Iceland so I ended up paying more for 4 bulbs then for the lamp, since I paid a delivery service to send to Iceland.

Just purchased two new lava lamp bulbs but only one of them works and they are not cheap ☹️

Came back to me within a day or two on Facebook. Told me what was wrong and gave me the link to new bottles. It came the next day and I’m very happy!

My lamp is over 10 years old and needed an over haul.
I emailed customer services and they couldn't do enough to help me.
I also purchased a bulb and it was delivered in no time..... Great service.

Excellent service - I’m addicted to lava lamps - I’ve bought 3 now from the original company who created them there is a difference in the quality compared to other makes And wouldn’t buy from anywhere else

I didn't realise I could buy the bulbs on line, so in the past I've been buying them from a specific shop in town which has always been inconvenient. So very easy and straight forward order, and arrived well packaged and on time. Will definitely order them again from Mathmos.

Terrible product, I had a lava lamp that I bought in 2000 and it has worked for years, unfortunately whilst moving house it was damaged and needed replacing, I don’t know what has happened at Mathmos but it has been faulty since it arrived..it keeps blowing bulbs that cost a fortune to replace, I have returned it and have just been sent a replacement that is faulty also...

This is my second purchase because I needed a lava lamp for my two grandsons and the ones purchased are excellent for young children. Ordering was easy online and delivery was within three days with a well packed package received.
I am a retired Quality Manager from an online company and if I was not happy with anything I would say.

First new light lasted less than a week, only on for about 1 hour a day!!!

Really poor considering the price, can’t get hold of anyone at the moment to discuss this matter, understandably, hope we can discuss when everyone is back at work.

I have rated the service with 5 stars as ordering was simple and delivery was amazingly prompt (next day), especially at this time. However, I cannot comment on the lava lamp as it is a present for my granddaughter and will not be opened until 28 June. But I am hopeful that it will be as good as the ordering and delivery service.

It’s a difficult time for sure with C-19 but spare bulbs arrived 9 days later through Royal Mail and my lamp is back in business
