My first purchase from McCarthy Cars rates as one of my best ever used car buying experiences, the salesman couldn’t have been more relaxed and accommodating. The car was ready for handover as promised in just a few days and was delivered without issue at the agreed time. Unfortunately the car developed a fault but this didn’t prove to be a big issue as the car was promptly booked in to a local independent specialist garage of my choice and the fault was resolved within a couple of days. McCarthy Cars settled the invoice direct with the local specialist I didn’t have to get involved in any lengthy claims process. I was very impressed with the after sales service and the way they stood behind the car and had it repaired to a very high standard, quickly and without any quibbles. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another car from McCarthy Cars based on my recent purchase – proper customer service – a very rare thing these days!

I probably would but from them again but felt that I was pushed into buying an additional product... I didn't think I would be sold the car if I didn't purchase the extra product... Am glad I did now but still would have been happier if I had the choice as a customer. Great knowledge but not very happy to serve me.

From the first call to James to the handover of the keys we felt that we were people rather than just a sale. We travelled up from Wiltshire to have a look at the vehicle with a view to purchase and, as promised, it was ready for us to view at 8.30am. Both Jim and James greeted us and we were left to look around at our leisure and then take the vehicle on a test drive for as long as we required. We returned and were offered coffee whilst we talked through the details: MOT, service history, warranty etc… There was no rush on James’s behalf and I am sure he went over all the details at least three times to ensure we understood and were happy. We left feeling very happy with our new vehicle and our visit to McCarthy cars had been well worth the drive.
We would also like to comment on the after service as a week after we had purchased our vehicle we noticed a small problem. We called James and he got the team involved to collect the vehicle from Wiltshire, leaving us a courtesy car, repair it and return it to us asap – in fact it was back with us in three days. Both Jackie and Cathy in the office did all they could to make this process go as seamlessly as possible – fantastic service! Thank you.
