During an inspection of our two units, we discovered we had a leaking shower issue in one of the units and as the units were built at the same time, no doubt it was on the cards that the shower in the 2nd unit was heading for the same issue…..As we live in the remote north of the state, I found Megasealed on the net and made contact with Andrew, the South Australian owner and manager of Megasealed…….Andrew supplied a sensible quote ( which was accepted ) to strip out, reline, repair / replace rotted studs and bottom plates where required, reseal and retile the showers of 2 units. Andrew provided photos of previous work of the similar type of issues to confirm that they were able to carry out the scope of work….which was very re assuring as we live in the far north of South Aust
Andrew communicated well via E/mail, Text’s and phone calls when required and returned all communication at most times with only a minimal delay, he kept us fully informed of progress and arrangements when the work was being carried out in each unit. We had a small stumbling block with the first unit however, after a bit re tweaking with Andrew, the issue was rectified extremely quickly followed by with regular and effective communication. The works in the 2nd unit was completed seamlessly and progress photos were e/mailed during the duration of the job. One of our tenants asked us to pass on to Andrew that the.
1..Megasealed employee arrived on the agreed time each day,
2..Commence work without delay,
3..Clean and tidy in all aspects,
4..Refreshingly polite.
As we were not in a position to choose the style or colour of tiles etc etc, we went with Andrew’s recommendation, from the provided photos his choice of style and size was sensible. Job completion photos show a high standard of finish.
Recommendation…..yes I would go with Andrew again, without hesitation.

My plumber works for a builder who recommended Megasealed, as they use them all the time. And now I know why!
Being an apartment, I had to obtain approval from the body corp first, which wasn't a problem as I wasn't re-tiling. Then I left notices under the neighbours' doors as well as the noticeboard, so they knew when the work was being done.
The salesman and tradesman were always professional, polite, on time, and communicated, which was fantastic. I always felt comfortable with them, and always called back if I had any questions or issues.
The actual work of removing the grout created a LOT of dust, so be prepared for that. Each bathroom took most of a day each. The re-grouting was only in the shower areas and floors, so I wiped down the wall tiles a few times to remove the dust. I took the covers off the fans in the bathrooms and gave them a good clean afterwards, as they were filled with dust.
The condition of the grout beforehand was pretty bad and stained, which could not be cleaned.
The re-grouting totally transformed the bathrooms, both look like new, I'm so amazed! It really is incredible. The tradesman even filled a couple of extra holes on the wall for me, which was wonderful.

Megasealed contained a waterproof issue in 2015, failed 2017, fixed and failed again 2020. [name removed] and [name removed] (Brisbane) attended. They were extremely rude and blame their faulty product and workmanship on anything that has nothing to do with their product. Trying to say its a structural issue with our house. (Is that why the only tile grout that is cracked is in the shower where they put their product is, but yet all the other tiles in our house have no grout issues!!
The 25 year warranty is bull. The receptionist [name removed] is rude and has so much attitude!
Time to call ACCC and get lawyers involved.

they did not do the regrout properly 2nd time now. had to go to fair trading nsw and its been a nightmare. staff made.claims and never backed them up once.

Not happy product doesn’t work lucky to get 6 months before shower leaks again. Service department never returns calls ( 3 weeks and still waiting ). Very much a bandaid company 4 times they have tried to fix it and yet it still leaks months later. They charge a fortune for a very dodgy service.

Both assessor and repairer Arrived right on time. Everything was done as advised and I was extremely impressed with how it looked and how clean the bathroom floor and shower was at completion.

Very happy with the whole process of dealing with Alan at Megasealed; initial request for a quote was quickly responded to, he repaired the bath the first day and the shower recess the next so our young family could still bathe, and the price was excellent. He was a pleasure to deal with from start to end.

Took three days to seal a shower that didn't need sealing. Shower base was only grouted within the last five years! Didn't need re-grouting!! The leak was below the shower base and even after all the work, they still did not accept that it was still leaking! Lost carpet and expensive timber flooring now because of these non professionals idiots. Not paying a grand for nothing!

Phil from Newcastle completed our bathroom today. We are exceptionally pleased with the work, Phil worked cleanly and has given us a new bathroom. THANKS to Peter and Phil we would certainly recommend Megasealed.

I can't fault the young man's workmanship when he came to replace the old grout and broken tiles. His workmanship and level of standards was truely something I have not seen in Australia since moving here. I would highly recommend this company and if able please ask for James, such a lovely young man, so pleasant and so very proffesonal.

I recently had a problem with water seeping up through some tiles in my bathroom. Megasealed from Brisbane central came and checked out what needed to be done. David was very thorough in his explanations and promptly supplied a quote. The next week Mark arrived and did an excellent job of fixing the leak and re grouting my bathroom. His work was excellent and the bathroom looks brand new.

Professional Job done on all four shower floors .3 different processes done in a short time frame.
Finishing off was a slight checking process, but overall a good result.
I would recommend this company to fix a leaky shower floor.

Just got abused by tiler from megasealed greater west for questioning his professionalism. He was about to start tiling over tacking waterproofing that was painted on only the day before. Tried to tell me that tacky was not wet so therefore it was ok to tile over.

I first used Megasealed to fix a leaking shower which had a very big leak, when I was selling my house. They fixed the leak, including using a waterproofing repairer and gave the shower a new lease on life which helped me sell my property. I then ended up using them in my new place to fix a minor leak in the shower and apply anti slip to the floor which was extremely slippery. The shower no longer leaks, looks great and is no longer an accident waiting to happen thanks to the anti slip solution they provided. I am very happy with their services and won't hesitate to use them again if needed.

leaky shower, manager showed up to inspect the damage advised me on colour scheme etc gave me a quote within 2 days, excellent staff cleaned all rubbish could not ask for better service, got megaseald of the website could not ask for a better team , well done

Got Megasealed Sydney South East to fix and update my ensuite last week and it looks so good. They re-tiled the bathroom floor and fixed the leak and regrouted the tiles in the shower. They also installed a new vanity for me. Thanks Alex (the tiler) for your work.

I had MegaSeal regrout 2 showers at my previous residence about 12 years ago, it was a neat finish, smooth grout lines & waterproof - great! Unfortunately, I recently had MegaSeal regrout 2 showers in another, recently purchased, residence & the finished result was a disaster! Very messy, uneven grout lines, with holes appearing in the grout the more the grout dried & set. Certainly not a waterproof finish! (It's as if the grout shrunk as it dried.) The MegaSeal franchisee who did this work, returned to view it & fix it. However, he advised he didn't know why it had happened, & didn't know if it would happen again! Obviously I didn't want a repeat outcome, so said I wasn't happy & didn't want to proceed with the re-work. The franchisee was very unprofessional, complaining that I'd wasted his time, & he was now out-of-pocket for the work he'd done. So much for "keeping the customer happy"!!
I'm now left with 2 unusable showers, & I need to find a decent tradesman who's willing to remove this epoxy grout & re-grout my showers. The 2 new glass shower screens, which have been ready for installation for a couple of weeks, can then finally be installed.
I sent an email to MegaSeal's National office advising them of this situation, but I never received a response from them. Thanks to MegaSeal's very poor product, & very unprofessional service by their franchisee, I will NEVER use, or recommend, MegaSeal again.

Very apprehensive at first about how anyone would fix my leaking shower without making one hell of a mess and causing a major disruption to me and my family!!! I must say Megasealed ticked all the boxes and my shower now looks a million bucks!!! Thanks so much for a fantastic job/result!!!

I had Phil do both our showers and some work to our bath.I am so happy with how clean it looks and unreal his work is.Peter was so lovely and worked with me as i changed my mind and had to rebook my work to be done.Highly recommend and would def get them to come back for some other job's.
