It is terrible that there is no live person for Customer Service. Everything has to be E-mailed.Since you have give a grade and only choice is 5pt that's what I gave generously. I would give 0 pt. I don't
think I will even order the geniune ones' for far they won't be right.

I considered cancelling my order after reading all the negative of late, but figured it was only $19 so I would chance it.
Well, I recieved the ink cartridges in typical megatoners.com fashion: really quick and expected quality.
I have to say, either I got lucky, or maybe they were just having a bad streak to loose their otherwise good rep. In my book, they haven't even come close to letting me down. Here's hoping they do well for you to.

Have I occasionally received a bad cartridge? You bet -- maybe 1 in 100 is unusable, but I simply throw those away and write it off as the cost of buying generic ink. (I got a bad Canon cartridge recently that came with a brand new iP4500 so even the OEM cartridges have problems sometimes.) Also, do I wish MegaToners checkout process would show exactly what I will be charged including shipping? Heck yes, but they have always charged a reasonable amount so I don't worry about it anymore.
I have read some online reviews that read like horror stories about MegaToners customer service but my one experience with contacting them about an order that arrived short a couple of cartridges turned out just fine. They replied to my email the same day (with an apology) and the missing cartridges arrived in the mail 3 days later.
Over the years I have ordered ink from several other online dealers but I keep coming back to MegaToners because they offer the best “bang for the buck” in my opinion.
(If you want really good service, but at a higher price, I recommend Tyler Martin.)

Good prices but terrible service.

worked OK so far. The first color acted like it was out of ink, the 2nd one printed 5 to 6 pages then acted the same. I purshed a new HP color cartridge and it is working just fine. So the 2 color and the 1 black you sent me are defective would like a refund.

However, sure enough my order came on Tuesday and was perfect and at $25 for 10 cartridges
Its still a total bargain and yes I have tried the ink and it worked perfectly.
Maybe I'm just lucky but Megatoners works for me.
April 2012
Just ordered some more ink and once again came within 3 days and all fine and dandy.
I would say that the last set of cartridges probably did not last as long as Epson but Epson charge a ridiculous $52 for 1 set and I got 4 sets for $26 which makes ink reasonable again.

Just a little note about me: I am very adept at all things mechanical and electronic, and have experience with printers. These cartridges and this company really ticked me off.
The "instructions" IN the cartridge boxes are incorrect; the graphics in the instructions, tiny and useless.
And to make matters worse, they are in chinglish -
For example :
"Caution: 1. Please do not turn over the ink cartridge before install it to printer."
The instructions also refer to a non existent "rubber cover" that you are supposed to remove - there isn't one; but there IS a thin piece of tape that looks just like the plastic that's SUPPOSED to be there, so I don't know if you are supposed to peel it off or not - probably not, I still don't know. I peeled one off and left the others on. Didn't really make much differnece either way.
IF you manage to install the cartridges "correctly", they leak all over the place if you are not *very* careful, and even if you are - because there's nothing to hold the ink in when you peel-off the plastic tape that says "PULL" on the top of the cartridge.
OMG, whatever you do, don't peel this tape off completely until AFTER you've installed the cartridge, or you'll have a holy old hell of a mess to contend with.
Also, with these generic chinese cartridges, be sure that you DON'T MOVE YOUR PRINTER from one location to another, or the cartridges will leak all over inside it and ruin it. If I'd known that these generic replacements were poorly designed, leaky, and crappy cartridges made in china, no way would I have ordered them. You can use scotch tape to plug the holes on the tops of the cartridges, but if you do, they wont work.
As is usual with these types of imported products, there is no indication whatsoever on the boxes they come in indicating what company in china makes them.
OH ! And the boxes say "ISO-9001 Certified" - which is absolute, unmitigated, bullshit. Some might even say "fraud".
There are no support instructions on their web site at all, so forget looking there for clarification. Big mistake - as I might have overlooked all the issues I just listed had they bothered to write a simple paragraph explaining the deal with these cartridges and how to install them without making a mess - it would have taken them what, five minutes ? But no, that's how much this company cares about their customer base.
The site gives the impression that S&H is included - it's not, and you are not billed for the amount that your invoice says you are going to be billed for on-line. You need to look very carefully for the S&H information on the site - to be fair, it IS there, it's just not prominent.
I can't think of ANY business I deal with that can't figure out how to at least do THAT right, give you an accurate price quote when you order...
I thought their site was pretty crappy when I ordered these cartridges, so my expectations were pretty low to begin with.
With a minimal effort they could have gotten a REALLY good rating from me, had they properly disclosed the product details and written some brief instructions to replace the defective ones included.
Remember back when people used to care about their product line, and respond to customers, and strive to make great products and offer decent service ?
It takes so little effort; and the yield is so great when customers appreciate you and recommend you. What's so hard to understand about this ?
In short, the product is defective inherantly, these cartridges leak, even if you are carefull, and will probably ruin your printer eventually. The included isntructions are useless. And the company itself reeks of incompetency and indifference.
Pass this one up. I wish I had.
